I honestly don't think Burt is dead. He got swallowed, thrown off a cliff, and blown up. If all of that happened then why is his hat and his sunglasses hold and perfectly on top of the mountain? Burt found a chance and took it. Long live Gummer.
“You mean been acting so smart, cause they’re so stupid.” In a way, this sums up the monsters in the entire franchise: The Graboids chase after vibrations, and hunt down anything that find at the source. The Shriekers chase heat, and wreck anything at the source. There's very little intelligence in these creatures, usually, they just have a suite of abilities and instincts that makes them such effective hunters. Barring the "smart" Graboid in the first Tremors movie, they've never demonstrated anything like intelligence.
Wrong. As a longtime fan of the Tremors franchise, I can tell you that these nasties _can_ think and that they _do_ learn. In the words of Burt Gummer, "Sonsabitches are always on a learning curve!"
Brady: "I claim the little one!" Bert: "Hey! Wait a minute it was my food!" The dialogue and chemistry between the characters is S-tier. Even without the graboids and shriekers Tremors would still be entertaining just from the characters' bantering.
Grady: I claim the little one. Burt: Hey wait a minute, that was my food. Man, the new design of the Shriekers in the uth installment are terrifying. Especially how they leap on their victims and letting out a high pitched shriek like if it were a banshee and whistle crossed. Still loved the original design(this one) as well=D How I loved the Tremors series since I was a little kid and can't wait for the new film on October 20th(one day after mine and my brother's birthday) because they finally bring back the Shriekers after years of absence.
@@animefan2454 Well technically the shriekers from the tv series IS the same one as that. I mean its literally just another shriekers from another graboids.

Funny, you give the shriekers food, they reproduce. But, if you give an ass-blaster food, and they're derived from shriekers, they go into a food coma. But, then again, the ass-blaster ate a lot which caused it to go unconscious.
It's a life cycle. The worms are the first stage, they make the shriekers while being mostly safe underground, the shriekers do the actual multiplying of the species, then evolve to spread an egg elsewhere further away.
Is it me over is the Graboid reproductive cycle a little to crazily reduction and rebust, each stage can pop out more and that seems excessive. But hey it works
the Shrieker are idiot and tend to die en-mass, their ability to clone themself so that at least a few can survive into the Assblaster stage to lay egg is something they needed which is surprising that the one outside of America skip that stage and just go straight to Assblaster, i guess America is just more dangerous then the mainland
Well remember that they said these guys were pre-Cambrian as in they were around a billion years ago or something like that. Earth was basically Hell back then, very very chaotic, so it makes sense they'd have to be very resilient and hardy to survive that kind of planet. It's also not clear if the Graboids even need Oxygen since early on Earth didn't have much of that at all. The Irony is that the writers chose that period of time as their origin to explain why we didn't know about them but it was unnecessary. The Fossil record we have is very incomplete because the process of making a fossil is very rare to happen naturally, conditions have to be "just" right or it doesn't happen. So we don't know almost anything about life in the past even just a few million years ago. So they could have put these guys with the Dinosaurs and it wouldn't have been a problem. Even stranger is that because the record is so incomplete, for all we know, we could have had earlier advanced species like Humans on Earth, and we wouldn't know anything about it. Give it a million years after we're gone and no one would know we were here either.
@@michaelheath2866 the tv series had a website (don't think it exists unless on the internet archive) that explained that the Precambrian identification was incorrect. they detailed the reason for the lack of fossils and explained that graboids were seen before. their presence is what spawned monster legends due to oral recounting of the survivors accounts.
An excellent real b-movie with monsters. Well-written characters with logical and coherent reactions. This is not at all the case with "cold day in hell" or "shrieker island", which are insults to the intelligence and logic of the spectator.
Grady musing the Shriekers' "stupidity" perfectly illustrates his naivety as a major flaw. He thought it possible for a Graboid to be captured despite how dangerous they are. Then, he made fun of the Shriekers' size even though they have hampered him and the others more than once.
Think about it, this is both beautiful and scary. If we were to see this with any other modern and dangerous species, it would be monumental and fear inducing.
Back in biology class, it took me a while to understand asexual and sexual reproduction. It was just freaky to understand how life cycles have different natures than that.
