My pioneer radio came with a black ground wire and the wire harness came with a black wire... do i connect them both and ground them to the chassis? Or do i not ground them to the chassis
Hey Scott, Great video, I really liked the way you explained and showed exactly what needed to be showed and not any more or any less. Now I do have a couple questions. I personally have a 2005 Ford Focus ZX3 and have been trying to install a new radio. But the previous owners before me added a subwoofer and snipped a lot of wires and added a bunch more and I am stuck trying to make sense of it all. If you could answers a few questions that would be great! Have a good day and thank you.
I want to do the same thing to my car, I got a similar head unit, will I loose audio quality with the new HU (I'm assuming the OEM stereo's amp was tailored for optimal sound with the stock speakers?) .
+erick pellecer It is in really good shape. I have 200,000 miles on it and it runs well. Like any car, be sure to change the oil regularly and service it per your manufacturer's recommendations
+erick pellecer I would say buying any car involves a certain degree of risk. I would inspect the car or have someone you know and trust inspect the car first
I just tried to install a radio in my focus the thing is that the radio turns on but it doesn't play anything on the speakers but when I put the factory radio back everything works I have a 2005 Ford Focus zxw
Hey Scott great video, I have two questions for you. First, how can i check which radios will fit my focus? Second my ac vents got stuck in the defog position and the knob broke, is this an easy fix? thanks!
+steven zuardo Most standard size radios will fit. I would check junk yards for the know. Tha knob is easier than the radio to put in. I hope I was able to answer your questions
Radio installation went very well, everything works great. Moving on to the vent control issue next. Now that I have some free time I'm really trying to tune up the old car, there's some decent work that needs to be done
just what it says any tech would know wire nuts used in automotive is a no go. not trying to bash you but I've seen to many fires and electrical problems due to there use. maybe in testing form
Great video, kinda curious about what was said at the end wondering if you had a way to get rid of the gap
+ViaDavidc yeah. I got a new, better stereo!
nice! that was a good starter radio though
Good information but next time have someone to hold the camera for you and show the entire process.
Great video, thanks for the upload...happy birthday to the lil rascal!

Did you run into any problems with any other car controls not working like turn signals and what not? because i know that can be a problem.

I don’t get what you’re doing at 7 min with speaker output and power output are you connecting the wiring to something ?
how has your focus held up and has it been reliable? I'm 16 looking at an 05 focus with 90k miles would your reccomend it?

How did you know what face plate to buy? And where did you buy it at
Did you hook up steering wheel controls?
+Jason Hill no. That radio didn't support them
