    I bought 6 of those, and a few dozen Np-f990exp's. Great choice next to the more expensive blindspot power junkie. 😊 I got suckered into the Power Junkie

      the only reason I didn't order the power junkie was the lack of actual power delivery even though it has usb, for me the power deliver makes all the difference

      You wouldn't like it, trust me. On a lower MaH battery, it'll slowly drain it due to the continuous led light. I hate it. Unless you completely disconnect the battery from the Power Junkie, you're good to go. If not, next morning you'll have a completely drained Np-f. Thank you for this video. 💯😎 Subscribed, as well. 🙏

      Sorry to take your time but the Kastar np-f970s has a dual dc barrel (female) and a 5v in/out usb-c pd. So when you pair the two, you have two. I hope you dont think I'm trying to sell you anything. I found your channel due to showing my brother these zgcine reviews. He is in love with the lil rig I got him. 😁

    Nice review! I believe the D-Top out is only 7.5 volts.
    I use the plate to power my Panasonic S5 and Blackmagic Video Assist.

    Nice review! I was actually looking at these online and found out they come in different brands including one from andycine. What is the voltage coming out of the d-tap?

    • @ReachFilms
      @ReachFilms  2 года назад +1

      Yeah there’s a few brands making them and they all seem similar, don’t know the answer to that but will find out!

    Nice video! What v-mount plate did you use?

    Hey man, great video!
    From what I've read, powering a camera and monitor/transmitter from the same V-mount battery can cause a ground loop and fry your HDMI/SDI port, but since you mentioned you use the plate to power your camera and accessories at the same time, particularly a monitor, I'm assuming this won't cause any of those issues?
    I've been eyeing one of these for months now as a way to power both my camera (A6400) and a monitor (Feelworld F6 plus) or a transmitter (Hollyland Mars 300 pro), since I usually deal in live streaming and run-and-gun recording and swapping out batteries and keeping track of which ones still have juice can get in the way of efficiency.

      When powering that many devices follow the order of operations, which is basically power on all cameras and accessories, than plug in the hdmi or sdi after

      @@ReachFilms Appreciate the reply man!! What about when disassembling the rig though? I've read it's the reverse order but should I power the cameras off first or just pull the HDMI out first before powering the attached devices down?

    Hey! Great review! I am actually creating this same set up for my Canon R6 with a Smallrig Battery Plate and the dummy battery/usb... can you tell how long the diffrent batteries last? I know you said about an hour more for the small one for just the camera, are the bigger ones about 4 hours of battery life approximately? And have you seen any improvement on heat/overheating by using this on the Canon R6?

    • @ReachFilms
      @ReachFilms  2 года назад +1

      Hey Apple boy! Get about 3.5-4 hours on the bigger batteries if only powering the camera, unfortunately external power doesn’t help with the overheating

      @appleboyproductions4979 2 года назад

      @@ReachFilms Sounds great 2-3 batteries will be all day then! Do you think it''s better charging by Usb or with the dummy battery?
      Its a shame that it doesn't help! I've never really had the camera shut down and just once I had a 5min notice and it was in the middle of the day, luckily after luch did not got the notice and continued with no issues, still it was very warm while using.

    Hi, this looks really interesting. Would this work well with the Komodo?

    • @ReachFilms
      @ReachFilms  2 года назад

      It could probably work using. The dtap port but I can’t honestly think of a reason to use this with a Komodo over using a vmount battery and a vmount adapter back as that would potentially be smaller that having this adapter on rails

      @TheHitchcockBlues 2 года назад

      @@ReachFilms yeah true just thinking of ways to use my Sony batteries. How long are you getting using a bigger 975 canon battery on red Komodo? Jupio have some good ones that look big capacity at 75w and 10000 milliamps. About to get the Komodo and your videos have been very educational thanks

      @@TheHitchcockBlues thanks for watching! I have not been using the bp975 since I first got the camera. Right now I use blue shape bp955 which I get around an hour and 20 per battery then I use the core swx vmount which gives me about 3 hours per battery
