Great to hear about your memories of your dad! He listened to some great music. I wasn't into country when I was younger but now I have a fair bit of Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash (and Marty Robbins, Gunfighter Ballads). I also remember Hee Haw, and when I was a kid I thought Roy Clark and Buck Owens were just comedians on tv , who sometimes played and sang a song!

I need to get me some Buck Owen's. Both him and Roy were awesome. I was like you too!!

Happy Father's Day everyone. Great memories for sure Robert. That first Marty Robbins album, when I do see it, its usually beat up. Johnny Cash the legend was alao a great actor, ( not sure of the movie title). Roy Clark was truly an amazing, underrated musician. Just watch the last episode of THE ODD COUPLE, TV sitcom and you will be blown away. Thanks for sharing.

@@RobertsOnMyTurntable Also unknown to many he was incredible playing classical violin and cello. If anyone doesn't know of this, I strongly suggest watching that episode and get ready to be blown away!

Good day Robert - I'm a few days behind on my viewing routines and was pleasantly surprised to see your Father's Day tribute to your Pops. Music was always a thing at my parents home when we were young, some country, some classical but mostly big band jazz and swing with a healthy dose of Dixieland and ragtime jazz. My old man turned me on to jazz at a young age and took me to see Buddy Rich, Benny Goodman and Dave Bruebeck along with a few other top flight outfits. Pops is gone now but I inherited his record collection and am able to feel close still while listening to some of his faves. Cheers
    Brian
