I almost didn't click on this video, but then I remembered I don't actually have to watch the match I can just enjoy their reaction.
This was actually my first match ever! Saw it on AM Raw when I was 7. Don't worry, later in the show they do a brutal handicap match between HBK and Rated RKO, that's the match that hooked me for all this time

Tempest mentioning Botchamania has "he's from up north" WCW energy.
It's matches like these that make people terrified at the prospect of Vince returning. Even by January 2007, when this match happened, Vince had clearly already lost touch with reality.
Its worth also noting, this is only a month after December to Dismember, only a few months after his feud with DX, less than a year after he 'wrestled' god. This is only a few months out before he makes himself ECW Champion, only a few months before the Hornswoggle illegitimate son angle. This was peak 'Vince McMahon has lost what little of his sanity was left and we all suffer for it' bulls*t.
I understand that this match was meant to try and build to Vince vs Trump, Hair vs Hair at Mania 23, but there had to be better ways to do that than... THIS.
I must say I was hoping this would pop up eventually because I remember it being just the worst.

If memory serves me correctly this raw opened with Cena being beaten by K-Fed and main evented with I think an 8-man tag that involved Jonathan Coachman lol
It's matches like this that are responsible for people giving you a strange look, when you say you like wrestling. And it was even worse than I remembered it...

I will be honest-- I saw this one come up and I just told myself "I can't watch that. I'm not going to be amused by it." So I skipped to the rating just to see where it fits in on the larger list. Every other match so far I've joyously watched along with and laughed at, this one I didn't even entertain the idea of watching it.
I've said it before but you guys really need to do the Kennel From Hell match.

Firstly a suggestion for a match to go into the hat is Yokozuna vs. Mabel at In Your House 4.
(Also I think the time stamp for the WWE Network was wrong for this match since the entirety of RAW on the Network is only 1hr25 long)

Another thing I enjoyed from the 06-07 DX run is the *I Kicked Stan* moment

Enjoying the series, but could you guys be more specific in your titles on future episodes? this one didnt give the date beyond the month of January, and ive had to figure out whether a match was on night 1 or 2 of a ppv on one of the previous uploads. it would help a lot to have those details up front.
Idk I completely disagree with this. It was bad but was kinda expected to be bad so their wasn't any kind of let down their especially with it being on raw. Also I think the mean spirited thing is being a little hypocritical since it was designed to benefit both people ultimately and calling someone fat is nothing to what heels say these days (ex MJF), especially when it us audience members.

After checking every day for the next uploaded I am flabbergasted how badly this ranked. So I watched the 'match' and was stunned its really that appalling.

8. Bradshaw and Trish vs Jackie and Christopher

I am still baffled that this match idea went further than the "drawing board" of WWE.
I mean someone thought that they will find an audience for this and further more that this audience will find this stuff good or at least entertaining.

My personal suggestion:
Undertaker vs Giant Gonzales from wrestlemainia 9
From the entrance to the end it is not even 20 minutes long. Still there is bearly 7 minutes of "wrestling" in there (if you are so kind and call this wrestling)
The ending ist then just the iceing on the cake
The final fantasy victory fanfare made it a like for me… *chef’s kiss*

I remember having vhs tapes that my brother recorded of raw episodes between new years and the royal rumble. Even using fast forwards during my countless rewatches disgusted me
Suggestions: Michael Cole vs Jerry Lawler (Wrestlemania 27), Kevin Nash vs Sid Vicious in a Powerbomb Match (WCW Starrcade 1999), King Mabel vs Yokozuna (In Your House 4), Sabu vs The Sandman (ECW November to Remember 1997) and biggest suggestion of ALL: Goldberg vs Kevin Nash vs Scott Steiner (WCW New Blood Rising 2000), where the commentators talk about who is 'going over', 'shoots', 'Kevin Nash once being the 'booker' and Goldberg famously goes against 'the script'.
As some one who watched that episode of Raw when it was on air at home I was GREATFUL I wasn't in the crowd for that... And I wanted to turn off my TV during it.. It was SO BAD..
Still waiting for Goldberg vs Brock Lesnar with Special Guest Stonecold Steve Austin from Wrestlemania to show up here..

Why was the year of my birth seemingly just such a crap year for wrestling, I've heard nothing but bad things about 2007 in general as a wrestling year, not to mention the fact that the tragedy of the Benoit family happened the same year, it's a very dark year and also just a very crappy year for wrestling

How about, Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco vs the Mean Street Posse from Raw May 3rd 1999, a real train wreck of a "match" especially considering that they had 1 if the highest rated Raw matches a week later.
