I sold my 24-70mm GM and 70-200mm GM a few years ago because I got tired of the weight. I then went with the 24-105mm G and 70-200mm f4 G lenses. Now I use the 24-70mm GM II and 70-200mm GM II. For an upcoming trip, I'll be taking these two lenses and the 16-35mm GM. My cameras are the a6600, A7R3, and A7R4. At one time I took all of my gear. But, at my age now, this will be about as much as I can manage.
As much as I like the series, this video cracks me up. Which lenses do you need for the Amazon? All of them. Every lens that Sony makes are all needed. Haha
Everyone have their own preferences If you own Sony then 12-24 2.8 24-70 2.8 70-200 2.8 200-600 that's all . A1 - A6700 That's enough gear for all the situations.
I am so sad that Sony does not have a 400mm F2.8 with a built in 1.4TC. My main landscape and wildlife setup is the a reduced version of this (16-35, 24-70, 100-400, 90mm Macro, and 1.4TC)... the only 2 other lenses I would be tempted by are the 200-600mm and a 400mm F2.8 - but if I am going to spend that money for the 400... I would want 560mm F4 at the flick of a switch without the hassle of taking off a huge lens and risking getting dirt on my sensor. It really does make me envious of Nikon shooters...
Enjoyed the video! How do you manage taking both backpacks due to luggage restrictions? I am going to Botswana this December for wildlife/Safari. I have Sony A1 with 16-35, 24-105, 100-400, 200-600 and 600mm. Which lenses would you recommend?

Don't fall for it. All you need is a camera and a lens - doesn't matter what. I got by with a D200 and 18-55 kit lens for quite some time, and that was in 2012 when the D200 was already 7 years old.
What are the large lens covers? I'm familiar with LensCoat and Alphagard, but I like the idea of custom fit with Velcro.

What tripod are you guys using throughout the video series? It’s like a blue with black tripod…. It’s very nice!
The tripod that is being used is the Benro TMA38CL Long Series 3 Mach3 Carbon Fiber Tripod: bhpho.to/3ya6W1y

Why do you always make videos of needing $40,000 worth of gear to be a photographer?
because B&H want you to buy lots of expensive gear ;)
@@CptKurlan So if I take out a B&H credit card to max out then don't pay, will I keep the gear? 😂

Because no salesman will ask u to buy the cheapest tv/computer in the store. Right? Haha!
Why do you think good photographers charge good money for their photos? The equipment is EXPENSIVE! A great lens is more important than the camera.
