I am no off-roader, neither own a Nissan T30 but I love watching you take this car for some rough stuff yet still with care and smooth driving. Cheers from Malaysia!
Great driving, one of the better off roading channels out there. No old Nissan Patrols on stilts with 37" tyres bouncing off the rev limiter, and breaking axles.
Perfect driving there. Fully showing what these can do. I took mine green laning with some LR Disco's and Defenders and they were all shocked at what it could do with just mud tyres.
Thanks for the awesome video I have been looking at these in N.Z What are they like maintaince wise? Do they break down much, any known problems with certain models?
Mine have been pretty reliable. Got it at 133k kms and now has over 240k kms. Just normal maintenance and wear and tear. Just don't get the CVT transmission of the T31. For the 2.5L petrol engine, just replace the O2 and knock sensor when it gets to high 100k kms as they are known to start playing up around that time. Fuel sensor also known to false read from around the high 100k mark.
Que bueno ver de lo que es capaz el Nissan X trail t30, acabo de comprarme uno del año 2013 con tan solo 19.200 km estuvo guardado 10 años y aún huele a nuevo, es versión manual. Seguiré pendiente de este canal. Saludos
Great video... Always entertaining and constructive in your approach. Always love watching the X trail, especially the T 30 series doing its thing. Nissan underestimated the true potential of this model... Over this coming Christmas were heading to Gordon Country to camp and wheel, this time were going to try the harder tracks there, obviously being careful 😉😁 can't wait.
Cheers. Leave it in Auto. No need for lock mode. Will just overheat the viscous coupling quicker. Depends on a lot of variables but there is a possibility the Xtrail will make it because it is light and will float on the sand. Keep tyre pressures down to 12psi and dont overspeed. Dont over load as well. Be as light as you can. Also, use narrow tyres NOT wide.
@@ruggedlife why narrow tyres? Wouldn't wider tires with low pressure create a larger imprint and stop him from getting stuck? Nice vids BTW. Landed here while considering an x-trail w roof tent for 2-3 day camping trips.
Cheers. Yes it will but will also put more strain on engine, running gear as the wider tyre makes a wider wall for the car to push more mud, snow, sand etc. Unless the car has tons of power and very strong running gear to hild everything together then it can work.
@@ruggedlife I was thinking that for a 2.5 it shouldn't be much of a problem. I wasn't thinking about 32's but max 30/9.5. I ran my 3.0 Terrano on 235/75/15 and it was more than enough for decent sand but I wish I had wider tires in some situations when I didn't have a "save me buddy" with me :D
I am yet to fully test my 2020 Xtrail with these conditions. I have been tempted however I am always anxious about how deep the ruts are when considering traversing through muddy water. The last thing I or anyone wants is to bottom out and be stuck.
hi my t30 is 2.0L optional 4Wd with an after market exhaust. Colleague of mine has compelled me to a 300m race on an airstrip 1km stretch. He drives a 2012 Mitsubishi galant 1.8L. Honest opinion do I stand a chance
I really wonder if I'll get an answer :) Do you(or anyone else) happen to know if the System for qashqai is the exact same as for the xtrail? The traction system
Sory for bad english! İ have x-trail t30 QR2.5 2005 year. Auto transmission. Tachometer revs up when changing gear from 2-nd to 3-th. What can be cause? Thanks for all replays.
Cheaper, looks beter IMO, better departure angle, better chance of recovering from the front due to 2 tie down points can equalize the load, I don't mind not having the newer 'luxury' features that the T31 has, T30 has a tad bit more upgrade options particularly suspension options.

Aku pun akan beli Nissan xtiral bulan depan t30 tahun 2004

Another great video revealing what this under rated beast can do in the right hands. Always enjoy your videos mate. Cheers!

That's exciting mate. Nice place that one 👍
Beautiful 🚗
Muy buen video!..tengo una t31 del año 2010 y doy fe que es un excelente vehículo!.. felicitaciones!!
Hi! Some guys from Xtrail Argentinian group share youur video! Which measure and brand are the tires you used? Thanks!!
Cheers! Goodride SL369. 235 70 16 size. I have a video of all my modifications in my MODs playlist.
Привет. От чего подошел шноркель? И где такой навес взять? Сбоку который
Love the xtrail.
Excelent Vídeo 😎
Great content. I'm in Botswana so my question is: can xtrail managed a 60km stretch of heavy sand on 4wd lock mode?
Cheers. Leave it in Auto. No need for lock mode. Will just overheat the viscous coupling quicker.

Yes be careful especially on later models. They are lower and not as hardened as the older T30 and T31s.

The traction system
That I do not know. Hopefully, someone will.
It is built on the same platform so it should as the xtrail and Mitsubishi Outlander

Could be in need of a fluid change
As per above, could just need a good flush. Best to get an auto transmission specialist to check it.
@@SuperRoverboy thank you!
@@ruggedlife thank you!
Did you fix it? Mine does the same when I hard pedal it (for a second or so only). Looks like a slip and I sure hope changing the fluid will fix it...
I don't have the esp option on mine... Does it mean it won't be as capable off road?
Absolutely not 😀
@@ruggedlife cheers mate. Any easy way to test if the 4x4 is working properly?
No worries. Probably jack up all 4 wheels and engage it.
@@ruggedlife all 4 should engage at the same time like that ryt?
Yes. Put it in lock mode

Happy new year just a quick one how much of a lift do i need to do on my t30 for 235/70/R16
Hi, 30mm will give you enough clearance.
