@@gothicshark I'm an FC of one too! In my case, FC drama split our FC several years ago. Then most everyone in both of the resultant FCs slowly stopped playing except for me. I'm fine with it though. I've got a couple airships, and now that we no longer need four people to work on FC crafting, I think I might get a submersible going soon. ;)
The Endwalker: Finishes the story after 1k hours and walks out of ff14 for ever, because there wont be a better ending than Endwalker and they want to keep it pure.
When I saw the title I instantly thought of the joke "There are 10 types of people those that understand binary and those who don't". 🤣. I still fail at the math boss...
While I can fit the bill for a casual player (log in, do daily things and log out), I can definitely qualify as a ghost player. Mix of anxiety, energy drain from being on the autism spectrum, and social phobia tend to create the feeling of "I can't people today". Also, FF11 players have snapped before in FF14 when blue mage was released, and it was actually kinda funny. If you want repeatable outrage from them for experimental purposes, I recommend talking about how Eureka was inspired by FF11 content and then grabbing some popcorn for the show.
Lol! Both those FFXI examples are spot on! I hadn't even considered that! Could that be why my buddy always brings up how "FFXI inspired Eureka" every time I mention anything about FFXI? He's just trying to get a rise out of me? I just don't see the connection other than "Woo! Eureka has an elemental wheel! Just like in FFXI!", whoop-de-doo... As for BLU, I wasn't there when that happened, but I can imagine I would've been... disappointed. I played FFXI and the Tactics games way more than FFV, so naturally I'm more familiar with and prefer the scimitar/turban blue mage over the tacky MCR/Tuxedo Mask stage magician... Anyway, I'm happy to have stopped by and proven your point. As a former FFXI player, I mostly just point out creature models that were brought over from FFXI and FFXII... or occasionally bring up how Ninja was considered a tank in FFXI...
I'm a mix of the ghost and the codex. I know a lot about the game, and if I don't know it, I'll learn it. However, I'm incredibly shy so I rarely share information because my crippling anxiety keeps telling me that everyone hates me.
We do hate you, it's all real. And we hate you even more because you are smarter than us. We need to up the FC invite spamming until you suffer a mental breakdown, then we will finally win the game and have sweet, sweet release.
Thank you for the banger content again lucy, finally have a stable stream schedule at the cost of 3pm upload schedule, i am a proud ghost, i do what i can solo without touching any one and see human contact and socialization as a inconvenience.
I don't know how you come up with this stuff, Lucy, but it's gold. I sincerely hope it brings a smile to your face too. Always enjoy a new FFXIV video from you. :)
Being in a free company of gillionaires i can confirm that asserting dominance in the marketboard gives me more joy than beating [insert dungeon/trail] on extreme. Because if I can't have everyone's business then no one can
Ah yes, looking at this and realising I’m a Ghost. ..But I joined a giant FC so no one notices me and so I can not get overwhelmed with invites from others. Then I go AFK in Limsa, accidentally falling asleep just to wake up and see that they’ve taken images and posed alongside my AFK character. Even attended a XIV wedding once, avoided the photos. Nothing like being a walking myth according to the FC I’m in, and I prefer to keep it that way; LET ME FISH IN PEACE PLEASE
After farming it tonight. 11: The Eureka Insta-pullers. The mere mention of the elusive crab throws them into an incoherent bloodloss for crustaceans. On the flip side 12: The Eureka Farmers. Will come up with every reason possible why they didnt join the prep 10 minutes before the boss spawns, they are legion and will bully Gillionaires off of Eureka. But they tend to help lower lvl players level up and farm. They also are thrown into bloodthirsty rages when crabs are mentioned
Thats true, been guildless since a week, and the only one's spamming is one guild with 6 recruiters...as one of your overlord rp players i blacklisted them all and now its quiet. No invites anymore.
It's funny because you join one of those FCs and instantly notice it had around 15 players in it and the only ones active in the last 48 hours are the 7 recruiters spamming novice network and shouts all day.
I tend to play with the ignore symbol up so I can't get tells, but one day I didn't, and I got a tell from an fc rectuiter....and I joined ;3; their name was Cookie Crusaders okay!? I HAD to join 😭

Imagine being an FFXIV VTuber that prides herself on being cringey. That’d be “yikes forever” levels of degeneracy. Thank goodness we don’t expose ourselves to such an abomination every week. The only way that’d be worse is if there was an occasional rap song at the end of the video! And God help us if they make a Sonic reference.
Hey Lucy did you know that FFXI is a much deeper mmo than FFXIV, with music that's even better than XIV's, also Vana'diel has stood the test of time and showed that it's a really deep and engaging world. Look losing exp when you die isn't really that bad when you get used to it, and having to run and wait all the time really adds to the de
im curious how much exp lose? i used to play other game were at high lvl was extremely punish die you could lose your entirely progres of the day(4-6hs) in 1 death oh by the way was open world which mean someone could just stab you for no reason, yes pvp wasnt opcional it was the law
@@-El.Inexperto No pvp in the open world, they did eventually add a weird pvp mode but it was never popular. Exp loss was 10% of your next level's cost. If you got a raise you could some% of that back. 25% per level of the raise, raise going up to raise III. While it doesn't sound like much, it was still easily 2-3 hours of progress given the slow rate of exp gain back before people really understood power exp comps.
@@RialuCaos Yes and no, it made exploring the world pretty fraught and exciting at times, you really learned how the different agro types worked. The issue comes then what do you want to be hard in an mmo? Should the hard part be the general world, gathering people, going to the places you need to be? Or should the hard part be the boss fights themselves? An exp loss system really fails when you bring boss you're wiping on 5, 10, 588 times against.
@@EimiShahrizai Well I haven't personally played FFXI, but I've played older MMOs with consequences for death. I don't think dying on a boss that many times is an issue, because people will naturally become more careful (and probably more elitist, but that's an unfortunate inevitability with actual consequences for incompetence). I think the punishment for failure just makes success all the more meaningful. If there is one area where I think it sucks to have consequences for death, it's when lag is involved. It's simply not fun to die to something completely out of your control - and this is why I don't think a punishing system can really work with any game that involves significant latency (unlike single-player games like Dark Souls).
This was actually going to be 9 types until Lucy realized she hadn’t self deprecated enough to feel so she added content creator. Also don’t feel bad about burnout, happens to everyone and breaks are ok ❤️
For those that want the codex player's advice typed out: 3:09 You need to drift your bukkake so that when coomshot comes off cooldown you can be bussin' and creampie thus activating your coombo-gauge letting you build up seed-stacks which can then be used to cast your finisher plan b.
I felt personally attacked by the Glamham. Yes I spend ridiculous amount of time doing hard/savage/ultimate content to get all the good looking pieces that I know will not fit in my glamour dresser. Yes I have bought more Fantasia than I want to admit. BUT, I'm an Au Ra lover, not a catgirl!
I'm 50/50 3&4. I am in an FC, but I'm mostly just there existing as a ghost, but if someone dares ask me an question in the FC chat, I could accurately explain anything that isn't lore.
So I was watching and enjoying the video and trying to figure out which one of the types best fits me... And then you say final fantasy 11 players and I begin to immediately defend myself. So amazing video, incredibly accurate. 12 out of 10 chicken nuggets
I just imagine immediately after recording or streaming, you pull out a cigarette, then sneer in the voice of someone who's been chain smoking for 40 years, "Fucking suckers...." Zoom out to reveal you have 4 different channels each with a different persona.
20/20 guide, would watch again. As a turbocasual who used to greet everyone and hope to have a good time every time, I quickly became a ghost that just does his thing and nothing else. Too many weird interactions and bad experiences, they'll just assume I'm a controller player and leave me alone.
Me, watching #4: "Oh this is definitely me. Thank god, there's no way another one of these could fit me better than this one, so I got out of this without being a shitter!" #6: 🙂
I am a triangle of The Ghost, The Codex and the XI Player. They feed into each other really. Because of my experiences in XI I have learned to love feeding on information, I know so much shit about XIV, even things I've never done personally, it's embarrassing. But my XI bullshit rubs people the wrong way so I have no friends except other XI players so I'm mostly a ghost. I don't talk even in the FC's I'm in.
I was a ghost for a long while. My first FC was barely active and spoke about nothing. They kicked me out while I was I unsubbed because they wanted to move house and my chocobo was in the stable. They offered me to rejoin but I declined, which they totally understood. I wandered the lands doing everything I wanted for over a year with no tag next to my name. Maxing out jobs and learning how to craft. Eventually, I became high priced meat whenever I wandered around hub cities. Then a catboi threw me an invite while he sprinted past me in the Ishgard market place and I’ve been Soulbound ever since. Shout out Hawk Oriaste.
I’m the ghost unfortunately as much as I want to interact with others it just absolutely terrifies me. I joined an FC last week as I was talking to the person I was terrified the whole time and haven’t said a word in FC yet. Most likely will go back to being a ghost and alone soon again.
Oh, but you have to understand the sheer terror that awaits. When you quit the FC they'll ALL start messaging you asking why you quit, what they did wrong and how they can help. You have no choice but to move servers or uninstall.
This is me. I'm quite outgoing and good at making friends in real life but for some reason socialising on ff is impossible, is it because I don't play savage and don't have bis? Do people just hate male elezen? Is it because Im wearing armour instead of trendy clothes? Is it because I'm not a catgirl? I really love the game but I hate being so lonely
I can totally relate to being a ghost I joined an FC but rarely talk to any one just read chat start to reply to someone then delete the whole thing for what evere reason. I blame The Aurum Vale, had no problems random queing learning how to tank and all (just come over from WoW about 2-3 years ago) and i was pulling the one boss outta the poision aoe iirc and afterward i cant remember what DPS it was but man they made me question everything, so since then i took a break for a few months, came back new PC running this game like a champ now and last night (i did boost but have been practicing with Trust and dummies to get better) and did my first Trial last night (The Dark Inside) as an off tank I only died once and still got 3 commends afterward kinda made me feel better about doing more. thanks for being an awesome community FFXIV and Lucy and other content creators yall make my day :)
I'm a FFXI vet. I can safely say that there will never be another MMO like it. That game was deep and really didn't respect the player's time. It was extremely punishing. Just read up on Absolute Virtue and how the Devs handled different strats the player base came up with.
You want to see a time sink look at the crafting shields in FFXI. Even with two people...."streamlining our gameplay experience" it took 2 and a half months of straight grinding just to finish the very last stage for one. I'd still love it if there was actually any content left to do though.
I'm such a ghost player I stopped playing over six months ago, just before I would've entered Brayflox's Longstop for the first time, because in the previous MSQ dungeon I got praise for my tanking. I realized people might actually be paying attention to my skill level in this game and it was too much pressure for me. I couldn't head-empty, immerse-myself-in-optimizing-gameplay-loop for that juicy state of flow anymore. One day I may return, but today is not that day. As a recovering WoW player, I'm just not ready to be judged.
You missed the three kinds of Lala enthusiast. The "comedy" lala wearing something like the piggie outfit at all times and such, probably male lala. Also will probably be disturbingly good at the game. The Lala who just wants a nice character, they looked at all the slutglams in the game and said "no, I don't want to be part of that" have nice glams (oh good god why does my new phone try to correct that to glans!?), Play well but complain about not getting more lala exclusive versions of items. And lastly the creepy lala players. Desperately trying to make the lala as loliish as possible, despite the popoto proportions. Will genuinely complain about lala 2B bottoms. Mixed bag play wise, But will abuse emote sounds. They are all treated as second class citizens by players who think they all fall in the third category and/or are evil.
As a PvPer I'm offended I wasn't represented in this video. Clearly you have an under appreciation of my awesome Zantetsuken PvP music videos, and superior look of superiority as I look down upon the plebians who would waste their time fighting pretty flashy dev bots instead of the mighty brain of that Dragoon who just used their limit break on the enemy team in casuals and uploads it to Twitter like the godchad(ess) they are. Our clear mastery of the game and breaking the shackles of rotation obviously intimidates you. (Yes this is sarcasm. I am still an avid PvPer though. CC is dope)
Definitely "the codex" myself, well sort of I'm not keen on the optimal rotation, but I know my mechanics and dungeons well and I *know* the lore, from history and magic to the in-universe explanations for the chat and the telegraphs (yes, ffxiv has those) Heck I even ordered the encyclopedias (no Lucy, you may not shove me in a locker)
I’m honestly relieved that the XIV gillionaires are some of the most left-leaning people I have ever met. If those people actually embraced capitalism irl, then they’d bring about the corporate nation states much faster than Disney ever could.
Still haven't started FFXIV yet, but might be the roleplayer. I write fanfic after all, despite you recommending Summoner, I'm leaning towards Warrior because of the aesthetic. At the same time, when I was a teenager I tried the Kirby Dream Collection version of Dream Land 1, and I couldn't beat Kracko.
It's officially Lucy has gone to a special type of hell by Yoshi.P And it's for and her alone, don't be surprised if don't see anything out of her for an entire month or two.
You know. As a Performance Bard (No RP. No Glamham. No Casual), I'm feeling alittle left out. The band and I (no multi-boxing) take alot of effort to put together a show every Saturday for a full hour before the Super Cactpot Numbers drop (Gold Saucer 9PM ET BRYN/CRYSTAL). Do you not think we Performance Bards are a thing? Some bands are out there making 100 - 600K Gil Per Hour. Is that not worth noting? (I mean, we don't cause we provide a free service) When are you going to give an honest review on the Bards of FF14? (Please, come see us. We'd love to see you in the chaos. Bring extra fans for your PC.) LUCY! Do us Justice! (Seriously. Bards don't get any love from reactors.)
I mean, no offense, that's definitely RP. Having a band in a game is like the most RP thing you could do, the ERP crew has nothing on you for dedication and commitment. With that level of skill you could easily play real instruments at real venues and make real money and pick up chicks and/or dudes, but commit your talent to the fantasy world. That's Hardcore.
Damn, American sub cost is $12.99? Even taking into account currency conversion, that's still around 33% more expensive than it is in the UK (£7.99, which comes to just short of $10). There's no value in me stating this, I just think it's strange that the price point is so much higher there. Maybe they're just trying to stop more American players from joining and going to Balmung.
As a glamham ghost who Lali-ho's at the start of every dungeon and nothing more, I can attest to the feeling of wanting to yeet myself into the nearest aetheryte the literal second another human acknowledges my presence. Anxiety can be a real bitch sometimes
I hit parts of the Glam, The Ghost, and the FFXI. Though I kicked my Fantasia Addiction, and have been pretty consistent with my Glams for the last 6 months. Where as my brother is the FFXI / Gillionaire... The man buys the FC house, crafts with every job, did Diadem Firmament etc etc all the places. Ridiculously rich and still hoards his money for.. what a rainy day? lol

For ghosts, I'm just there to play. In and out of the dungeon as quick as possible. We're the reason behind single person FCs for the sole reason of having the benefits without the chatting.
I'm a roleplayer that struggles to not be the ghost each time I get a random tell. It's a bit of a struggle, but I try to make do, especially when I can also be distracted by glams. :)
Gillionaire and proud! I bought all the reasonably priced materia on my data centre this week. Spent hundreds of millions. But holy shit am I gonna be rich when 6.2 drops!
Ghost and ff11 player here. I don’t logout on the rare occasions I get a random message but instead I pretend to be afk til they get bored and go away.
I never know how to react when someone sends me a tell, so I teleport away in front of the person then hide in an inn before replying with as few words as possible. After that I queue as a healer for ANYTHING for the insta pop and pray no one drops so I can get away.

The problem is the math bosses questions are so simple my giga brain can't parse them. I'm not math illiterate I swear.
I am extremely grateful that the algorithm randomly brought me to your channel. I'd def come back for more preemo FF14 shitpost listicles like this. 💥
"Suspicious emoting in Limsa"
Hey... you can't single me out like that...
As a Glamham... my unhealthy obsession with fantasia-ing and battle glam is what keep me alive. Keeping Yoshis lights on brings me joy
#7 Loud and goddamn proud. Vana'diel is the best, come at me.
Pissing those guys off gives me life
You're probably the funniest content creator I've ever watched. Ridiculously smart and witty. Thanks for all the content.
I was a ghost until literally last night. I feel weirdly called out, and am terrified of what black magic you wield.
So here's a sub
Thank you for the banger content again lucy, finally have a stable stream schedule at the cost of 3pm upload schedule, i am a proud ghost, i do what i can solo without touching any one and see human contact and socialization as a inconvenience.
I don't know how you come up with this stuff, Lucy, but it's gold. I sincerely hope it brings a smile to your face too. Always enjoy a new FFXIV video from you. :)
Being in a free company of gillionaires i can confirm that asserting dominance in the marketboard gives me more joy than beating [insert dungeon/trail] on extreme. Because if I can't have everyone's business then no one can
That surprise City Escape reference at the end put such a big dumb smile on my face lol
Even attended a XIV wedding once, avoided the photos. Nothing like being a walking myth according to the FC I’m in, and I prefer to keep it that way;
LET ME FISH IN PEACE PLEASE
After farming it tonight. 11: The Eureka Insta-pullers. The mere mention of the elusive crab throws them into an incoherent bloodloss for crustaceans. On the flip side 12: The Eureka Farmers. Will come up with every reason possible why they didnt join the prep 10 minutes before the boss spawns, they are legion and will bully Gillionaires off of Eureka. But they tend to help lower lvl players level up and farm. They also are thrown into bloodthirsty rages when crabs are mentioned
2:34 it's easy, you just blacklist all of the recruiters because 90% of the invites you get are from the same 5 people lol
@@e.k_liadon Adjusting your online status always felt like too much of a hassle imo... with it resetting any time you logged off lol
Join an fc? Lol why would i want to do that when they've already gotten their little friend groups formed and dont help other fc members outside of their groups?
The eye tracking and pupil dilation is spot on. Great job.
Unabashedly a “FF11 nostalgia” player. Game was amazing back in the 75 cap days.
I've got a friend who still does FF11 streaming. I didn't understand then and I don't understand it now.
I started FFXI this year after two years of FFXIV. Been loving it !
@@leoshieldsff3970 I played back in the hay day of Aht Urgan and WotG, when they first released. I was actually part of the world first spawn of Pandemonium AND the Infamous ATNM Test spawn “google FFXI ATNM Test” and I was “Selendile” in that screenshot 😂. Easily my fondest memories in gaming to this day is still FFXI.
@@selendile030 Lol that's so silly! How did folks even think to trade that specific piece

Damn Lucy fucking died
Also casual dead inside ghost checking in.
8: I feel especially called out. MY EXACTLY 12 ALTS are not happy with being outted like this.
I would like to know overly intimate details of Lucy's "Love Life" both for the twisted high and also cause wtf is going on to create someone like this? XD
Keep doing you Lucy while dangling deplorable desires above our heads like the love and attentioned starved no lifers we are.
As someone who came from FFXI, I just want to say that I came from FFXI.
You certainly are special, Lucy.
I have never subscribed to somebody so fast in my life!! This vid is pure gold!!
I say this video show all the love and care you have for everyone in ff14 maybe all your fans. Thank you for all the great videos
I miss MMOs having actual consequences for death. It made the entire experience more real, and parties more meaningful.
9:25 nice Lucy, now I'll have the song in my head for solid 52 hours
Well it's obvious, what kind of player is Yoshi? He's a content creator.
Every video Lucy, I question your sanity. And mine for watching to completion. Real talk though, your videos are hilarious.
THIS
OMG literally nailed me word for word with #7 XD, Great video Lucy!
Back in my day, BLU was way more fun then the BLU we have now! :P I appreciate this, good 'ol FFXI.
I'm 50/50 3&4. I am in an FC, but I'm mostly just there existing as a ghost, but if someone dares ask me an question in the FC chat, I could accurately explain anything that isn't lore.
I was hoping that the Glamhams would be rated 399/400
So I was watching and enjoying the video and trying to figure out which one of the types best fits me... And then you say final fantasy 11 players and I begin to immediately defend myself.
So amazing video, incredibly accurate.
12 out of 10 chicken nuggets
I just imagine immediately after recording or streaming, you pull out a cigarette, then sneer in the voice of someone who's been chain smoking for 40 years, "Fucking suckers...." Zoom out to reveal you have 4 different channels each with a different persona.
Yoshi-P has a category all to himself - Black Mage King
Did...did Lucy just 8=3 us? Ladies and Gentlemen, I think she's hit Perfect Form Lucy
Thank god, there's no way another one of these could fit me better than this one, so I got out of this without being a shitter!"
#6: 🙂
instructions unclear, got confused by the title when there were more than two player types.
#4 was the most beautiful thing I've ever heard.. You know the part.
I'll tell you a secret...
The ghost is just the dead inside casual's alt.
I'm double dipping on dopamine, leave me alone!
Type 11: The modder. They don't care about the game. They just want to look pretty and pose.
Lucy: “nerd, wake up its time to experience every human emotion again”
Me: (opening her videos) yes honey…
It was, indeed, extremely punishing and it felt so good.
You want to see a time sink look at the crafting shields in FFXI. Even with two people...."streamlining our gameplay experience" it took 2 and a half months of straight grinding just to finish the very last stage for one. I'd still love it if there was actually any content left to do though.
You make the most entertaining FFXIV content.
I appreciate Lucy not being an actual content creator do bring us nothing but hard cold facts to educate us
>"Remember when your mom told you you were special?"
Oh, I do; she tells me all the time.
I just wished she wasn't so abrasive about it. 😔
First 3 seconds she already made me laugh.
I have a friend who is the second and I see her deal with the the jokes and dismissal every day. She's a Casual Glam Codex
You never fail to make my day :)) love you Lucy!
CC is dope)
Definitely "the codex" myself, well sort of
I'm not keen on the optimal rotation, but I know my mechanics and dungeons well and I *know* the lore, from history and magic to the in-universe explanations for the chat and the telegraphs (yes, ffxiv has those)
Heck I even ordered the encyclopedias (no Lucy, you may not shove me in a locker)
Clearly inaccurate video, you left out the strongest player type in the game. The Fisher.
It's officially Lucy has gone to a special type of hell by Yoshi.P
And it's for and her alone, don't be surprised if don't see anything out of her for an entire month or two.
Bring extra fans for your PC.)
LUCY!
Are there places to find bands looking for players?
@@danielmantell3084
I sense sarcasm. (But I like it.)
@@chiekokurokumo In game, ask the advertisers of venues where they advertise. Follow the breadcrumbs to the discord communities.
"Ten types of people only" but I see you trying to stuff two in the first category. I'm onto you.
OR They know the degenerates on Balmung so they milk them.
As a glamham ghost who Lali-ho's at the start of every dungeon and nothing more, I can attest to the feeling of wanting to yeet myself into the nearest aetheryte the literal second another human acknowledges my presence. Anxiety can be a real bitch sometimes
Ever since 1.0 I’ve never seen a former FFXI player. They don’t exist on this universal plane.
Ridiculously rich and still hoards his money for.. what a rainy day? lol

I'm half Casual (type 1) and half Ghost, slowly fading to full ghosthood...
haha! great vid love the accurate descriptions!! 10/10!

I never know how to react when someone sends me a tell, so I teleport away in front of the person then hide in an inn before replying with as few words as possible. After that I queue as a healer for ANYTHING for the insta pop and pray no one drops so I can get away.
