Anyone realize as the Ice Age movies progress they get increasingly more child friendly, the first one starts out unbelievably surreal and confusing while the last one was just unicorns shitting out rainbows and something about friendship

I remember watching this in the theater and in the middle of the movie the footage started getting blobby. Something had happened with the film or the projector and we had to wait while they fixed it and started it back up again. I will never forget that. It was pretty trippy.

I remember my mom and grandparents watching Everybody Loves Raymond, years after I'd been watching the Ice Age movies, and being so amazed when Mom revealed to me that they had the same guy in them, hahaha
I love that these 3 have all these fantastical musical equipment that had to have cost at least a few grand per person, and they use it to be absolutely ridiculous in these videos.

I still like the movie even if the sequels got weird, i remember watching the movie a lot as a kid the watermelon scene with the dodos was really funny and even the “ where’s the baby” scene was my favorite sure it hasn’t aged all that well but it still has good moments in it.

The 5th one legitimately felt like a Direct-To-Video sequel and I can't believe it exists. It does have like 1 or 2 good scenes though.

The animation hasn't really held up no but I personally think the story and characters are timeless in the first movie.
