Thank you so much! Went to the gas station and the latch on my 2012 Civic wasn’t working. Had enough gas to get home and deal with it in the morning, but then I found your video and was able to go in through the trunk and pull out the lock mechanism. Thanks for saving the day! Although with the price of gas these days, I should probably fix the lock. Haha.

11:41 you are actually destroying your car. If gas tank door not open, just adjust the spring of your gas tank door. No need to remove the whole gas tank button and cable. If the door really not open, ask someone to help keep push the gas tank button to maintain release the lock. Then you go to gas tank there and insert a card to pull out that door. Now you may start adjust the spring inside that gas tank door.
