As so very many others have commented here previously; This is an excellent tutorial. I have taken down many firearm platforms over the years and this was even very helpful for me. Sig Sauer should make this part of their user manual literature. Well Done! Thank you.
I’m so glad you liked the video. I wish SIG would use my videos as the user manual. I wish they even knew my channel even existed. Hahaha! Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. Have a great day. 👍🏼🤜🤛
Thank you so much for your video! I was struggling to re-assemble the striker assembly and the slide end cap. Your instructions were veery clear and easy to follow. I have subscribed to your channel.
Thank you for this video. Very simple and clear. I just picked up a 365xl, haven’t shot it yet, but wanted to know a ballpark round count you that you recommend for cleaning the firing pin, and replacing any springs?
Hey Stephen, I’m glad the video helped out. Over the years this has changed for me. I do one of two things. If it’s a range gun only, I would wait until I had an issue with light primer strikes. If it’s a carry or home defense pistol, I would clean the striker assembly once I hit a 2k round count. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. Have a great day. 👍🏼🤜🤛
You did a nice job of explaining each step in this process. Do the newer P365's have a different mechanism that holds in the back plate that must be pulled off to the side rather than pressed down and held while slipping the back plate out?
Thanks, yes the newer P365's have a different mechanism. I wish I had that one too so I could upload a video of that mechanism for people that own the new setup.
Nope, you shouldn’t add any oil to the firing pin. Try to keep oil away from the firing pin housing. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment, have a great day.
would it be ok to just soak the striker assembly in CLP, brush it lightly to clean off debris and then just wipe and blow it completely dry using an air can? Seems like a lot of detailed work that could go wrong for someone like me that don't know what they're doing. Thanks.
Great tutorial and easy to follow! Question: how often should the firing pin be cleaned? I also own a 365XL and the firing pin assembly is different to the 365...hope you could do that one, too. Thanks!
I'm glad my video helped. I would clean the firing pin every 1000 rounds. I would love to do a video on the P365XL but I don't own one. I'm currently saving up to get one, but it's going to take some time. Once I get one I will record a video. Thanks for watching and I hope you subscribed. :)
It doesn’t get that dirty. I wouldn’t think about cleaning this unless your over 1k rounds. Even then I don’t it will be that dirty. Thanks for watching. Have a great day.
Hi Andre, if you look at the manual it doesn't say you ever need to clean your firing pin. So I would say the only time you would need to clean your firing pin would be if you know you accidentally got solvent\oil in the striker assembly area or if you start getting light primer strikes. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. Have a great day!

@@UBRArsenal There are youtube videos out on how to remove the newer P365 striker assembles.
Do you need to put any oil after cleaning it up? Please advise thanks.

You could try that, just make sure everything is completely oil-free when you put everything back together.
yes bone dry. Thank you@@UBRArsenal

@@UBRArsenal ive got least 3k rounds through it, no problems so far
Such a great video, thank you. Also, how often should I clean the firing pin? So far, I have a thousand rounds through my 365, just FYI. Thanks again!

So many ideas borrowed from Glock.
And Glock borrowed a lot of ideas from the 1911. Point is, guns use old technology and improve upon it.
Yup, very true.
You explain the obvious too much
Keep in mind this video is for people that are new to guns.
Thanks very helpful
