    This belt sucks for isometrics. Vid is misleading, it digs so hard into your hip you can’t even get a hard quad workout with it. It’s only for bands and cable stations

      Can wrap a cushy towel around a lifting belt so the resistance band rests on the protected area when you thread the belt through. Otherwise the carabiners are going to ruin the resistance bands.
      I agree this video is a fake review. This belt is going to lower the tension and thus the training stimulus. Way too over priced too for what it is

    It would interesting if they could add straps to the side instead of those hooks. Then it could be attached to just about any weight and would act like a dual sided dip belt.

      The hooks are for resistance bands

    It looks like kettlebells could be the better/ best conventional resistance option with this. I personally use a dip in my apartment and have used over 100 lbs without needing to stand on anything and get a good R.O.M ( with a band wrap)

    I've been using one for a few weeks now. You can do two leg squats or one leg split squats. It works great loaded up with the heavy bands. It was a little awkward at first squatting down low enough to hook the bands but getting used to it. When the set is over and your legs are screaming, it's nice to easily unbuckle the belt before unhooking the bands.

    The hooks seem to be connected at fixed long straps position. It is a drawback for me. If they have multiple holes to attach the hooks, it would allow hanging the weight at different heights for different exercises. I’m not a big guy and doing 260 lbs squat. I doubt I won’t need to stand on something to do belt squats even if the hooks are bigger to hang free weights.

      The straps for the hooks are adjustable.

    Thanks for reviewing this, Matt! I have a Titan Wall-Mounted Pulley... Do you think this would work well with that? It has two separate cables to attach to, but they're right next to each other instead of further apart like a functional trainer. Thoughts?

    Matt, I got that belt for Christmas, my wife got it for me. , I have arthritis in both my knees, and this belt is awesome, I can do squats comfortably with it, all the work in my legs, and I can go a bit deeper with using the belt also, I do my squats with it with resistance bands, it is definitely a lifesaver for my knees.

    I have one and it's nice that the hooks length is adjustable but i would like to see a more rectangular shape hook.

    If only you could load weight on it I would buy it right now.

      Interesting. How/where would you load the weight? On the back - would you need someone to load the weights? Wouldn’t that be hard to balance? Front? That would interfere with the squatting motion, wouldn’t it? Great idea though. :-)

      Have you ever tried x3 elite band? You don't need weight. The resistance in the elite band is insane

    • @onpoint357
      @onpoint357 7 месяцев назад

      You can load weight (resistance) on it from bands. Resistance is resistance. Muscles doesn't care or know whats providing the resistance.

      @@onpoint357Not exactly. If weight is hanging free from this belt, as one squats the resistance remains the same throughout the movement. The resistance of bands increases as the band stretches. That's okay and even desirable for certain exercises, not so much for others...which includes squats.
