Hi Nathan, I'm watching your channel literally from the other side of the world, couldn't be farther away! I've always been interested in different cultures, specially that of indigenous people. I knew a bit about their history and culture, read some books but nothing has drawn me in as much as your channel, been binge watching older episodes now for days and can't get enough of it. I can see how much you respect and appreciate them and in return how they do the same with you and welcome you with open arms in their midst ... It's a beautiful symbioses and also very important i think, specially for Australians unaware of the beautiful culture of these people. It struck me when you talked about cruelty's they have endured since us white folks arrived there and how they don't carry a grudge and welcome you. I'm Dutch and we did horrible things in Indonesia wich I visited two times, the same there, no hard feelings only love and smiles... very humbling to be honest.... sorry for rambling on, just wanted to let you how much i appreciate your work! keep them episodes coming bro!

Man, this series is mind blowing. Really really enjoying it so far, these legends are just so cool, my kind of people.
Listening to the old fellas talk is absolutely mesmerising, I could sit and listen to them forever.
Dude, that turtle looked amazing, I’ve never tried it like that either, sitting back bloody drooling, haha. And the fact everyone gets together and just bonds and gets on with it and shares it al around is what we all should do more of.
I can’t wait to get back up that way, very soon hopefully.
Thanks so much legend man. Truly loving it mate.

That was my takeaway from the day too mate, sharing all that time together. I learn so many valuable life lessons out on country with different mob, lessons that i then bring home and try to implement into my life and this one, being more present and making time for friends and family was a big one.

Aboriginal people and Torres strait Islander have been mixing in the Cape York long before the white Man came it's different up in far North QLD because their culture is a mix of Torres Strait Islander and Aboriginal in hunting, dancing, eating etc. Just try Go up and tell them Blackfullas up there that they're not Aboriginal. You'll be in for a shock!I know for a fact you've never been to North Queensland!😂😅

This is brilliant and informative. Its actually good to see indigenous Australians hunting, foraging and cooking in the way its been done for many, many centuries.
49:08 Are these Mantaray or Stingray skins? It's the shape of them? If so, their huge!!
Im probably real wrong here but, that gut feeling 😂 Great viewing.
