My grandma told me a long while ago "You don't need to like everyone, but you need to get along with them". I try to live with this, finding ways to get along, even if it means agreeing that we cannot agree and find a midwaypoint for us both to deal with. On other notes, I got tired of swimming alone so now I'm hosting a mermeet. Hopefully I can do it again in the future and get more people in tails.
I simply convinced two other girl teens like me to buy tails! We actually just went on our very first swim as a pod today. Previously we would go in twos but today it was all three of us! And now we're a pod and are having a mermaid sleepover tomorrow before school starts. :)
Lol I've tried to do that but unfortunately none of my friends are as interesting in mermaiding as me

I founded our pod, we dont swim together a lot bit it was fun to discover when we all got together that we were all goldfish girls (all red orange yellow coloured tails)
I have been unsuccessful in finding fellow mers in my area but I shall not give up! Although I am a lone mermaid, I really hope to find another merfriend some day ♥️♥️♥️

@@maceyharris7787 I'm in Washington state ☹️ but good luck with finding some merfriends! Have you tried googling "mermaids in *your city*" because I'm sure there's quite a few in Georgia

Friends still have their arguments yes but it doesn't mean they're not your friend. I have arguments with my best friend sometimes we still talk and get along great.

This works if pools are mermaid friendly. Unfortunately in the U.S. not many pools are mermaid friendly. The Outer Banks in N.C. Is mermaid friendly but, the YMCA is not.

Such great advice!! I’ve definitely started coming out of my seashell a lot more since moving out of state. I’ve joined a pod near me, but I’m still a little hesitant to go because I don’t have a tail to swim with. Other mers have offered theirs, but I have a hard time using other people’s things. Maggie Fluffy There was a hurricane hitting my state. Where I live hurricanes hit my state a lot. I love mermaids, maritime history, marine life, when I was a kid I had two strokes. I did aqua therapy at the pool. I think mermaiding can be great therapy for my leg, arm, balance, etc. so that’s why I want to be a merman. Plus I want to do cosplay too.

I need a place to swim
I want to start a pod, but I can't find literally, ANY mermaids in my area. The only other mermaid I have ever seen in person in my town, is 7 years old.
My mermaid name and social media tag/website/etc is literally The Mermaid of Albany (I live in Albany, New York)....searching that, or anything similar to that, doesn't yield any results... :/ algorithms are stupid
What I need to know is why I didn't think of making a group myself before? I live in the 4th largest city in america and there are NO groups, there's a mermaid party business consisting of like 3 merms but I'm in it as a hobby I already have a job on top of being a full time student, I need to make a group for 'just for fun' merms here- there has to be a lot of them this place is huge lol

Actually great info. Especially BE SAFE. Every self defense thing I took pounded it into us to be aware, file a flight plan (let people know where you are), listen to your instincts, and don't go alone into the unknown. You may be a warrior princess but you need to be smart!

I’m not sure, that sounds new since I registered. Are they asking you questions you need to answer before you can register?
Courtney Mermaid it’s reaaally strange. It says “Additional Required Information”. Then there’s three “Registration Questions” to fill out, but it doesn’t describe what that is or how to complete it. If you skip the questions and try to submit everything else it says you can’t move on without filling them
