I’m a newbie to the surf skate scene. And a middle-aged man at that! Your video really helped me to figure out how to slide. Working on it.
Hey Peter! So stoked to hear that you are picking up surf skating. It really is such a great vibe. If you need any advice just go ahead and ask me anything. Keep me updated on your progress!
@@comfortablylost6459 Dude thanks for offering assistance. I may have some questions along the way but I definitely want to be a surf skateboarder. I’ve never been a surfer. But I skateboarded when I was a youth and damn I miss it. Ready to prove that middle-age men can do this. 💪
@@PeterLarsenJr The beautiful thing about surf skating is that you can pretty much do it anywhere, you don’t need to live near the beach and it’s super affordable. I know you’ll get it down real quick! Enjoy the carve man!
Dude that was some rad progression
Thank you!!
Great inspiration to commit to practicing and awesome progress in short time. Wheels look so hard to slide, but amazing you got it started.
Ok I watched so many videos on how to tail slide and yours was the most helpful! Thank you!
Hey thanks for the sweet comment! Do you have any questions? I’d be happy to answer any that would have
Clean video man 🤙🏼 I’d like to see a part 2 on your progress with this!
Thanks a ton for the kind comment! I just moved to Spain so things are a little hectic right now but I will make one soon!
Just got done doing some baby slides through campus on my home. Nice timing
Let’s go! Those rear wheels will be slippery before you know it
Broooo the slides around 4:45 were definitely it somethin clicked so good there.
Also seeing how quickly all the pieces came together at the park on that bank was so damn cool bro like damn you
Got those down so clean 🔥🔥🔥
Dude! You were the final piece in the process my dude and I appreciate you for that
Big Pre-carves are a pretty major thing in longboard sliding, that might help
Great things you're doing man. I've watched couple of your videos great job. Big support for u
Hey thank you so much for checking out the comment and leaving the very kind comment! If you don’t mind me asking, where are you from?
@@comfortablylost6459 i'm from Bulgaria friend
Wow! Awesome! It must be a wonderful experience. I like those dogs🤣
Thank you Lilian! Those dogs are cute, but it is hard to capture videos when they are barking 😂
@@comfortablylost6459 most welcome 🤗. That's very true. Next time, pet them for me🤣
@@LilianChacha that I will! Maybe I will make a video of me doing that just for you!
@@comfortablylost6459 that will be awesome 😍. Thank you
Those dogs are going crazy!
Those dogs are a dang nuisance! Thanks for the comment mage
Enjoy thanks for sharing
Thank you for commenting! Much love
You got that pretty quick
I was lucky enough to be skating for a little while before trying this so it didn't feel too strange to attempt
Beautiful skate park.
Got pretty lucky with the local park!
Nice vid dude!
You're too kind
THIS. The hardest thing, especially on a stock YOW. Those wheels are so grippy...
If you’re going backside, press down on the heels to lift your toes up, shift your weight to your front foot and kick your back leg forward. Same goes for front side. Also you can always start by not moving. Ps stay low.
Dude, You have the roundhouse concave wheels on. those are the grippiest wheels from carver.
Hmmm... yup they definitely get pretty grippy hahaha. My current set up is on some smaller wheels and it slides like butter. What set up do you use?
@@comfortablylost6459 I have a YOW Christianson with Merakie S5 trucks with skull skate 66mm 80a. I find them to be a good balance between grip and slide.
Why don't you try with some Powell Snakes on to help with the slides?
What skateboard do you have? And what are the skateboard measures?
Hello!
The board is Carver Resin CX
The board has a 17 inch wheelbase and is 9.75 inches wide
Hope that helps! Thank you for your comment
What about harder wheels?
Yo, do you go to Cal Poly SLO? Saw the kennedy library in the background, looks like we are at the same school lol
Yo! Great eye spotting the library! I actually just graduated in December? What year are you? Slo is a great spot, glad you’re out there enjoying it
You should try squatting more or coming from the squatting stance. You’re a bit too high to really hold it.
Good call! Thanks for the tips, I’ve recently been working more on bending the knees and it helps a ton 👍
Yeeeew
YEew
Also you was throwin down at the park
Dude it’s actually so easy. With slippery surfaces you can slash it super easy
??????? ?
I’m not sure what you mean by this, but right on! Keep on shreddin
Dogs barking sounds like a beat 😂
That was the goal! If theres one thing they are good for it’s making beats
