The embossing powder you can get from hobby lobby. My other favorite nail channel she uses a glitter shop call Lrisy and they do have a huge collection. You don't have to buy you can just look. If nobody has warned you, it will inevitably kill your efile because your efile isn't meant for that much work. I had an efile engine stop working bc I used it for grinding chalk down.
Im LIVING for this video, uts so much fun!! OMG these nails turned out so prettyyyyy. So nice for the wallet too, you could basically just buy chalk and clear powder and make all colors you want yourself. So awesome, will definitely be doing this. ^^
Hi Anne, the embossing powder is from ranger we use it for scrapbooking card making to make txt have a 3d effect when heated with a heat gun and sets like an enamel, ranger embossing powders comes in a large range of colours, I hope that helps you find some ❤
If you put a bit of water on the chalk when you're picking them out, it might give you a better idea about what they'll look like when the acrylic powder and monomer are mixed :) so much fun to wait to see the colour reveal though!

I highly recommend chalk pastels ❤ they're so much more pigmented and u need so much less chalk to color the acrylic. It's also much more affordable for way more colors ❤

I swear, I could watch you make custom acrylics for hours. I LOVE it. My fave was the juicy watermelon colour followed by the purple, pink, and blue. Actually I really like the orange too. And the greens and yellow. Nevermind, I like all of them. 🙃 I’m excited to see the nail set!
You could put a thin layer of clear acrylic on your natural nail so that whatever you put over it, you can just file back down to that clear layer without ever touching your natural nail, it would help protect it from damage

Ha ha I love the smell of monomer, tires and cigarette smoke too!!!!! (I don’t smoke either) My husband hates all those smells haha. I never thought I’d know of another person who is like me that way. Plus I’ve used chalk to mix with my clear acrylic also to make custom acrylics. I mean by now who hasn’t 😅. Anne you have to try drawing on your nails with colour pencils! I tried it the other day and it worked so well! You just need to put a matte top coat on and draw with any colour pencils and it has such a cute sketch effect! ☺️💕🌸 Also thank you for the hour long vid 🤭 perfect to play while falling asleep 🌷

This set came out super cute, Anne! If you want even more pigment, you might try chalk pastels. I use them for colored ombre designs because they are so smooth 🥰 Just found your channel recently and am loving your videos! ❤
@AnneElizabethNails I just got a pack of Faber Castell off Amazon, but I'm sure even cheaper brands would work, too! I think they just have a higher pigment to talc ratio than sidewalk chalk and might be smoother too. Hope it goes well 😊

Before you add the acrylic, soft chalk through small strainer. It works wonders.

I think a tea strainer would be a good size, because hopefully it would fit over your pots so you don't lose too much out of the sides when straining.

to clean your sanding bands inbetween colors you can use a tooth brush. run the band over the toothrush and it will get the dust off
