I wonder if the peoples of Angola, Guinea-Bissau, and Mozambique would like to join the European Union, should they not have sought independence? But history is that Portugal was allowed to join the European Communities only AFTER they renounced its colonial empire.
Actually it was Portugal wanted to return Macau back to China in 1975, that year the Junta in Lisbon was disposed and the Portuguese let all their colonies independent. Tbh ,i don't know why Portugal gave back Macau to China when they alr had it since 1600's.
Because China seized Macau by 1967, but didn't officially reincorporate it until 1999.
Because it was originally Chinese land! Meanwhile the return of Macau to China was first proposed by the Portuguese government!
