How about the physicians who are refusing to write prescriptions for older people or people with painful diseases like cancer, forcing them to seek pain killers from other, often criminal sources? Should any of them bear responsibility for people dying from fentynl?
Chronic pain was being managed better for a time, and then the opioid epidemic shut that down.
People commit suicide because of uncontrolled pain.
Physicians must work With their patients so that they Do Not Suffer.

Doctors are threatened by the DEA for prescribing pain meds for documented incurable painful illnesses. Surgeons are paid MORE by Medicare NOT to prescribe pain meds after surgery.
I’m a Chronic Pain patient of almost 20 years and can’t have the pain meds I took responsibly for over 13 years, until the DEA arrested my 82 year old Pain Management Doctor in 2019.
The CSA needs to go. What about PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY? They make US suffer and die and are the cause of the illicit fentanyl crisis.

Cannabis doesn’t help severe chronic pain. I’ve tried it. ONLY narcotics make life bearable.
As a mother who has lost 5 children to drugs, it is embarrassing how little is really being done. I just listened to this interview, and Ms Milgram just really beat around the bush, never really gave a direct answer to questions asked. A lot more needs to be done or we are going to have alot more deaths
What do you want Ms. Migram and the DEA to do?
You have my sympathies, especially at this time of year.
What's to understand? The components are sourced from China where the US has no control over imports and made into a deadly drug for distribution by Mexico who can't control the murderous drugs gangs and rampant police corruption in their own country. And the drugs get funneled to the country who has the worst drug addiction anywhere in the world. Again, what's to understand?

The Kensington area of Philadelphia & Figueroa area of Phoenix are a disaster. The drug , is taking a horrible toll on the young people 😕 using it.
Until we address the mental health issues that lead people with access to money to escape into the drug culture, we will never get a handle on this problem. Mental health is the problem. The drugs are just a symptom.

Did you miss the part where she said they've made a direct connection between social media platforms and the distribution of the drugs? Perhaps if the government can get a handle on controlling the freedom the social media platforms now have, at least a part of this problem can be addressed.

Imagine how many drugs we could stop if we actually cared about securing our border.
Very difficult problem with no simple answers: ports, freight, mailed, and people coming as mules.

Its 100 times stronger and cheaper than heroin, the new stuff is so strong,i touched a piece of paper that had it on it, and 12 days later I tested positive for Fentanyl at the VA too, after my dad gave another vet a ride home, who dropped his fold, and it went airborne, my dad pulled over to a gas station after feeling sick, the guy left a fake note and somebody found him after an hour and a half..he needed 2 Narcans, I towed his little old Porsche home with my JEEP, and look through his car, found the fold, just grabbed it and threw it away...and that's how I tested positive...crazy...now I carry a dozen Narcans in my JEEP's medkit.

All commercial drivers who cross the border, need to have a special license to do so. These drivers need to pass a background check. We need to invade Guatamala and stop Drug trade from Columbia and South America.
