- A faction of the royal family has traditionally crowned Prince Simakade Zulu, as the AmaZulu King.
This is despite other members of the family and government officially recognising his brother, King Misuzulu kaZwelithini, as the monarch.

The Great King Sigidi (Chaka) was never appointed by his father the Chief Senzangakhona. King Chaka had to kill his brother Sgujana who was appointed by Chief Senzangakhona. Prof Mkhize just gave out a sound explanation. He has depth and he is neutral to the matter. Western Law vs Isintu/African law (Simakade). Simakade has a heart and spirit of a King man; he was ready to set us free from the Queen of England.

Now i know why our zulu kingdom was eventually defeated by the British and why Shaka predicted this.
It's because Shaka had done the right thing by taking the throne from Sgujana coz Shaka was the rightful king since he was born to an Elangeni princess.
Then Dingane killed Shaka for the throne. Thats when the zulu kingdom took a downward spiral that ended up to the complete defeat by the British and afrikaners.
Now Smakade is doing what dingane did to Shaka.

Zulu became a king because Gumede wasn't fit for the throne, Sgujana was a king through culture and tradition.
VVO is wrong. Shaka usurped Sigujana ligitimately. Why? Sigujana was not born of Royal mother, the Ntulis. Whereas, Shaka was born of royal matrineal blood, the Elangeni Kingdom. So Shaka was the purest candidate for the Senzangakhona seat.

Prof must take out that word *elected* out of his vocab when his talking about this. A king is not elected but Born and the mother of the king is of Royal blood. Even if Shaka killed his brother to ascend to the throne, The rightful heir is still known.

If it happens that a Man have two sons:, the first born son, with his mother not getting married and the second born son given birth after marriage, even if he's a month old. King Shaka bhuti his mother's kingdom was undermined, so Shaka deserved to fight for the kingdom as he had two royal bloods but not Sigujana. I was going to fight as well if was in his position. Elangeni Kingdom was suppose to be given respect by the Zulu King ( Senzangakhona ) and Zulu royal elders.

uKhabazela remains adamant in his stance that king MisuZulu is the chosen and rightful king while prince Simakade has the first born son's rights as inkosasa. Inkosasa doesn't mean he will be king it only means he is a first born son. A chosen hire is will be king. Indlalifa, undlala ifa endlalela abantwana.

I agree with you but the biggest challenge here is that there is no law or Custom which clarity or indicate as to who should be the King, and the Zulu Nation at large does not have right to elect or to choose a King.

Ramaphosa has no say in who becomes the king that argument does not hold water. This matter needs to be resolved by the Royal Family alone. Shenge you have done enough but for the sake of peace please stay out of this issue now. Whoever becomes the king eventually he needs to have a buy in of the Royal Family. At the moment Misuzulu does not have that buy in and that does not look good for his kingdom.

I've never heard that a son born out of marriage can become inkosana. 🤔 yoh how about a first son born in marriage? 💑 then there's no need for marriage if people can come and take our kids things in the name of inkosana
If the father acknowledges her first son and brings him into the family that son qualifies to be inkosana. If the father is distant to that son than its a different matter. It's up to that son to fight for his right once his father has passed on. That is what Shaka did.
@@mysticman9331 Prince Senzangakhona actually paid dowry for Nandi. There was a back and forth between their families, but dowry was paid 55 heads of cattle. That said, they eventually separated leading Shaka to grow up in exile. Shaka challenged Sigujana because his mother, Nandi, being the daughter of a chief, was ranked higher, than MaNtuli, Sigujana's mother.
