Another busy day taking care of your faithful herd of lady Holsteins. It is amazing to watch how well you utilize your Kubota skid steer to do so many different tasks. I hope you have a good “back up” for it …..just in case. Looking forward to maybe another video on putting some new baby calves into that nicely cleaned barn. Thanks for always paying attention to the details. Thanks & God bless.
You can really see the difference those floor scrapers do when they don't run for a short period of time, so much better when their running all the time, but sometimes things happen. Your getting that drainage area looking good, just a little more shaping and you'll have it. I wish my skid steer was running, it's an old one, but I still would like it running, maybe some day in the near future. Great video, love the detail you give, thanks for sharing, have a great night and a wonderful day tomorrow and the rest of the week.
Nice video Eric! Great progress on the water drainage. Clean, healthy calf barn thanks to Megan. Productive day on the dairy. Enjoyed the video. Well done!
It is always a treat to watch Eric the Excavator at work. So nimble at the controls. Milk over soda is always best. The robot scraper does a pretty nice job. Great shot of the feed wagon dispensing the feed. Super video and thanks till next time.
Love watching your videos. I'd like to recommend that you get an electrician to look at that wire in between the man and overhead door in the calf barn. If he could run it through some grey PVC pipe it would make it look nicer, and also eliminates the risk of accidentally snagging it with a piece of equipment. Or if you're comfortable doing it yourself, I'd just do that. Easy enough and I bet you're more than capable of doing it.
I just found out I developed a moderate allergy to milk. 😭 I was miserable every time I ingested milk products. Gas, diarrhea, pain, hives. And other minor stuff. It sucks ass.
It seems as though that gal Meghan works very well there for your farm, I hope she's shown the appreciation for her steady and reliable work ethics!! Hello Miss Meghan!! (Robin)
It is funny, Larson Farms in Minnesota recently bought and started using an end dump trailer like the one you are using, except it is bigger. Nice simple fix you you farmers.
Hey Eric, would it have been possible to run the top soil slowly through your spreader? Then you wouldn't have to flatten it out with the skid steer. Cheers for another great video at the perfect dinner time for me.
I was working on a waterway yesterday but it's a much bigger one, as in probably about a mile bigger. I'd say you're doing a pretty good job on the waterway you're working on though
8:56 Do you think it would be a time saver to get a scale on your skidsteer? You would not have to feather it into mixer, and would not have to return to the pile with the surplus.
@@HoLeeFuk317 yep, but maybe a scale on the loader would still eliminate the trip back to the pile for the extra. Loader driver could still pour slowly to help it mix better
I think that if you built a backboard for your forklift setup, you could essentially lift 3 bales easy without them dropping. I'm not sure how many you can lift before it becomes too heavy and ruins the bale on the bottom tho.
Kubota has great power! only downside is this machine is not mechanic friendly. Every little maintenance job takes forever since the filters are hard to get too! Also, inside the cab(even the new kubota skidsteer) all have the a/c controls under the arm rest things that kubota could fix but choose to avoid! Overrall for farm work its a workhorse!
You and your dad should invest in a Self-propelled TMR SILOKING Mixer , it would save you a lot of time and headaches cause it can cut and load the silage into the hopper then all you gotta do is add the other stuff with the manitou and afterwards you can feed the Heifers with the SILOKING. By the way Greetings from a fellow Pennsylvanian , im just east of Pittsburgh.
Great vids! You all are hard workers! Have you thought about doing some paid promotions? I am sure there are many companies out there that would provide things as you promoted/ advertised them! We would love to see more in depth tool/equipment analysis! 😊 Just a thought.
When you use the Hoover silage defacer start the machine low and work upwards instead of starting high and working down as you do. You'll be able to get a clean cut down low and already have the cutter up high once silage starts to pile up instead of trying to cut down into the pile of silage. I'm no farmer..just had another farmer mansplain it to me.
@@10thgenerationdairyman thanks for your reply! The kubota is a very busy machine on your dairy. Looking forward to your next video. Ps, the robots are doing a great job on your slats

Just learned about your channel and subbed. Got a question for you: Have you seen the Udder Gun? Do you use one (or more)? It was designed and is built by a team that competes in BattleBots, and it looked like it would be incredibly efficient and useful and safe for the cows. Just wondering what your take was on it. Keep up the great videos, and all the best to you and your family.
Its a slight misnomer. Chocolate milk will have far far less added sugar, but the nutritional information cannot differentiate between fructose, sucrose, glucose or even LACTOSE. Lactose is a sugar. Milk has roughly 6% Lactose g/mL. Roughly 60g per liter. So a 2L bottle of chocolate milk might say, 22g of sugar per cup, but only 7g of that is added sugar.
Eric said it has 1300hrs in a previous comment reply above yours. They also have a New Holland skid steer which from what Eric said not long ago is probably the next piece of equipment to get replaced
