Great overview, nice job! I’ve been playing a lot of this lately and love it. I also picked up the two TMNT games as a result. I really get sucked into the theme and can’t believe how quickly time passes by when playing. Fun stuff!
The moves available to the heroes are very faithful to the source material. Touches like that really makes this game shine. This game nails the theme! I purchased TMNT back in December 2021, as well. That’s the game that brought my attention to Batman. I would like to mix both of them together and come up with a scenario or two.
Wow. Just ran into your channel. An instant subscribe. I like the approach, the perspective, the production, and above all - The honesty. I wish you'll make much much more reviews.. (I know it requires lots of efforts, But you're really good at this..)
Thank you! I’m glad you enjoy the channel! There will absolutely be more videos in the way. Life has been busy lately. However, I’m still working on several videos behind the scene. See you around!
Love, love, LOVE this game! I agree, this one has so much theme to it. -When you fight Two-Face, you have an actual cardboard coin you get to flip. I can't wait to play as Two-Face in one vs many, I'm gonna feel like I'm cosplaying a bit! -Supergirl. Straight up powerhouse, high stats, crazy good action dice, powerful passives, permanent flight, can't be put under fire, etc etc. However, she's balanced out by the fact that she only has 2 focus tokens, AND, if she runs out, she counts double hits as blank. So in a way, she only has 1 focus token. This means, being the powerhouse that she is, she gets to chuck lots of dice, but she also has little to no luck mitigation... almost like she can easily be caught unprepared, as if she's a bit ...cocky. -Batgirl is the polar opposite, tons of focus tokens, can use more an one per roll, gets one back per turn, etc; as if she's over-prepared. Makes sense for the commissioner's daughter! Just examples from the top of my head, but I love this game. It is definitely is far from perfect, but as a huge BTAS fan, I'm very happy to have this. I still haven't been able to start RE3 or RE2 yet, because I'm still playing through all of the scenarios of this one. Lastly, great intro! Some work had to be put into editing it, looks and sounds great!
I agree with everything you wrote! They nailed the theme! I wish I would’ve back it because I didn’t receive any stretch goals (they look great). At least I was able to find the expansion, I’m happy with that. Those minis are so cool! They look great and they make the game POP when they’re on the table. The scenarios (like the Two-Face scenario) are varied and feel unique from one another. Lastly, the homage to the title cards of TAS was a nice touch. I was smiling while filming the intro! Thanks for watching and for commenting! Take care.
Fantastic intro I had a feeling this was the animated series you were talking about. I absolutely love this game. After hearing IDW was going out of business I purchased the base game and expansion for batman, and Ninja Turtles City Fall. Excited to mix and match these two franchises together. The Adventure system IDW created, although a bit time consuming, is fun and allows a lot of options. Just finished painting the Ninja Turtles and will soon start the Batman mini's. Cheers and thanks for the review.
Thanks! Yeah, I did the same when I heard the news of IDW. The Adventure System they created was good. Too bad we probably won’t be seeing it in other franchises. At least we have TMNT! You’re going to make these minis look great once you paint them. Awesome minis! I appreciate that you’re always stopping by and checking out what I release! Thanks again! Take care.
Hi my man! How U doing? I Hope you is well! So, I've a doubt at the minute 12:21 , for example in which case the figure get the token free fall? If the manual tells that any villan can't stand on bottomless terrain by choice or by takinga move action?
I’m good! You’re right. The villains cannot place themselves onto bottomless terrain. A villain may be hit by an attack or ability that moves it onto bottomless terrain, however. I should’ve explained that in my example. I just wanted to include a simple example that went straight to the point. Hope this helps!
@@SoloBoardGamingKnight Oh my man! So thanks, this is really really helpful for me.. cause I'm trying to learn how to play and I was confused in the bottomless terrains
Sure! I found it at Hobby Lobby. You get to customize it to fit your needs which is really helpful when a game has a lot of tokens. www.hobbylobby.com/Art-Supplies/Storage-Organization/Storage/Large-Utility-Box/p/7702 I hope this helps! They are pretty cheap and they come in small, medium and large boxes. This is perfect for games with a lot of tokens. I also have a machine that creates tags that I use to mark them. You can also use a permanent marker. It works wonders when it comes to organizing my board games.
Unfortunately, I did not get to back it. If my local store ends up getting their hands on it, I will definitely pick it up. I know there are two Masters of the Universe board games. One for the EU and one for the US. Hopefully I can get my hands on both somehow.
@@SoloBoardGamingKnight I found a UK store that is selling Fields of Eternia version (Europe only) preorder. I believe it is called Wayland Games. The shipping was 20 pounds.
You say you mixed and matched Resident Evil 3? I take it you mean with the RE2 board game? They have rather different mechanics that don't gel though. I'm also very curious as to exactly which episodes are in all the expansions.
I do not have RE2 but if I’m not mistaken, you can mix and match the tiles (unless I was given wrong info). I’m not sure about the cards. You can, however, create your own scenarios using RE3 and it works great. I created one where there was an upstairs and an elevator that takes you below ground before confronting a boss. I was inspired by the RE2 video game. Things like that work great and are fun to do! For Batman and TMNT, you can create your own scenarios mixing both worlds together and it mixes well. I haven’t created a scenario for that one yet. The episodes in the expansion of Batman are: Pretty Poison (1-3) Feat of Clay (1-3) Mad as a Hatter (1-3) 4 different arcade battles There is also a Clayface Mode that turns the game into a 3v1+A.I. Hope this helps!
Also when I mentioned mixing and matching in this review, I meant it for TMNT and Batman. The RE comment was meant to point out creating your own scenarios.
@@SoloBoardGamingKnight You can use the tiles together, but as far as gameplay goes, there are differences that would make some characters not work as well in the other game.

Yea all of my idw games are well below minimum quality of proofreading or basic playtesting of rules etc. it’s a shame because the games are good. Ghostbusters blackout actually has rules straight up wrong in the rulebook, only spotted how the game actually played because of the back page cheat sheet. Batman Gotham City Under Siege is straight up missing a key rule of what to do with some basic cards. (Still a good game, but a shame that folks might play it totally wrong rules as written). And then there’s the TMNT game which also had scenario errors. But because this game was their last (or second to last depending on when it came out vs MIB) and a KS mostly game, my guess is they cared even less than usual. Which is impressive! And a bummer. The designer is awesome.
@@nathanielchambers8974 It really is unfortunate. You’re right, their games are actually pretty good but the rule books are really disappointing. Probably the best rule book from IDW that I’ve read was for the Ghostbusters x Men In Black board game. Overall, I didn’t find any huge misprint or errors in it. The art looks great for that game!
