What a legend and very much underrated! There is always reference to the likes of Sarah Vaughn, Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Dinah Washington etc when talking about jazz icons, but rarely is della's name included in this long list of phenomenal singers, and she was PHENOMENAL. She reminds of Shirley Bassey mixed with Nancy Wilson.
