Duduk is the most difficult cane I have ever encountered. You need to very carefully select the desired stiffness of the reed itself, learn how to properly soak it before playing, and still it will be many times more difficult than a clarinet, for example.
But the minor tonic is still at the very bottom, without an introductory tone, the duduk still will not allow playing medieval music. So after several months of trying, I put it on the shelf with a clear conscience.
And yes, it depends on the repertoire you want to play with it. I found very beautiful to play some medieval pieces with ney (for example Hildegards repertoire) but with duduk is a different story. I'm glad you have given a try though!

You can say it loud 😅 I'm really struggling 🫠 but with a small step at the time I believe it will work!
