Hope this helps people understand the armour changes a little better! 🥰 For the most part, the armour change negates the new headshot passive to keep it feeling similar to the pre-midseason patch, but then once tanks lose their armour (or didn't have any to begin with) they're tankier than they currently are.

Good thing lifeweaver is support and not dps then.
Pro's give bad advice for support players on how to rise to GM. I see a lot of support players don't believe healing will get them a win so they fight dps for most dps. What pros should be teaching is securing a kill is THE MOST IMPORTANT thing in OW2. That doesn't mean to do as much damage as you can. A support doing as much damage as they can is a support aiding the enemy supports ult. But securing a low health enemy is aiding your team. DPS are able to kill in 1 second. only Illari and Baptiste can do that and they need their ult to do it.
At this point lifeweaver is just catching strays 😭

This change is gonna be good. I feel they’ll have to mess around with certain heroes stats but I this is good.
It makes tanks not just explode with back to back with headshot damage.
Soooo it’s gonna make tanks stronger but ALSO make them take more damage BUT have the ability to not explode.
8:06 keep in mind the 25% headshot passive so still not really viable to do headshots unless you're sure you'll hit them but should be focusing more on a 50/50 where it'll be a body shot with a chance of headshot but don't miss for a headshot focused attack.
LW went from unplayable to healing enemies.

You should still go for headshots, they will still do more damage overall by landing the head shots. Just trading a slight amount of head shot damage for more body damage
There's a HUGE caveat with some of these that they dont just make it apply to everything so that DoT are also reduced.
Been wondering how it works with DOT and beams. Good design that ticks do not equal unique projectile instances. But I don’t get why/how beams are unchanged, just an exception I guess bc beams weren’t really op or weak into armor.
I don't think anyone has mentioned it yet but this is a sizable nerf to mauga

Does blizz think they buffed tanks? They absolutely missed the mark if that was their goal.
So armor tanks are fucked 😭 rip ram
They take ~10 to 20% more damage against mid/long range poke (except headshots, those will mostly do the same or less damage), and 30% less damage to every shotgun and fast firing gun in the game, which is most tank buster characters.
They're slightly better against their most annoying counters. Shotguns and continuous fire are all nerfed, so Reaper, Bastion, Mauga, etc. do less damage.
Isn't this supposed to HELP tanks survive longer? I don't see that happening. Yeah, 25% decrease in headshot damage but other than that I see MORE overall damage across the board against armor. Armored tanks will get their armor melted A LOT faster. Only pellet damage will effectively be reduced.
It does help. Ana and Illari poke were never a problem for tanks. Bastion, Reaper, and Mauga were, and they all got nerfed by this.
The length OW devs would go to nerf LW. Next patch, his thorns now heal enemies and hurt allies.
I am kidding about Blizzard targeting LW especially of course. Even I who suspect that OW devs hate LW somehow don't think that they target him especially. But it is still amusing to see that he is somehow the loser of the patch.
