Nintendo made some awesome consoles over the years. I still have my DS lite and 3DS. There are so many good games. Some of them are getting to be ridiculous expensive though. Of course there are ways around that.... I enjoyed seeing your collection. For sure check out PSP and Vita. This was an awesome first video. Keep them coming because there is plenty of room for fresh new game channels.

My favorite handheld as a kid had to be the DS lite, there’s just something about the nostalgia of playing Super Mario Bros CO-OP together with my cousin over summer break because we both had DS-es. I don’t think a handheld will ever beat that. ❤

I modded an old gameboy advance and I love playing kingdom hearts and pokemon on it! Honestly collecting and modding handhelds is more rewarding for me then playing games sometimes lol
I grew up with an original DS, but I think my favorite is my Switch. It has a lot of gaming options, but it’s also easy to charge. I have more than twenty games for the DS and 3DS, but I haven’t played them in so long, and I recently started exploring my options with jailbreaking my old crystal blue 2DS, so I can enjoy older games at my leisure, and without risking losing or damaging them away from home. I have so many games that I miss playing, but I don’t have the time to play at home too. I have always dreamed of taking a GameCube and putting it in a shell with a battery to play away from home, and now I kind of have that option.

addendum because i got to the end. My favorite handheld console right now is the Anbernic Arc D. It is a little emulation machine thats made to look like a genisis controller. I dont like to play sega games without the specific controller, so this lil' thing makes it super easy to pop on Ristar or Gleylancer real quick.
my fav handheld so far has been the switch lite because it was my first! I got it in 2019 also as an animal crossing machine lol and it helped me get back into gaming again
bought a lavender and white 2ds xl recently as a lil christmas gift for myself, i love the ds family of consoles if i had the money i’d go absolutely crazy with it. i have my light blue ds lite and red 3ds xl from childhood too

I'm now trying to start a collection of them, they're so cute and silly and i can play everywhere, including class. edit: totally unrelated but you NEEEDDDD to get pink/purple highlights or smth like that, istg it would look AMAZING
I got the same pink 3DSXL used from gamestop around the same time! I didn't know it would become so hard to find. Modding them to use homebrew stuff is a game changer, I never imagined I'd use my 3DS as much as I do now! I love how you've decorated all of them!! :)
You should check out a Neo Geo colour pocket. They're a great little handheld with great games in the catalog. Also the clicky analog stick is soooo satisfying to hear and feel!! You won't be disappointed :D
It is a bit tough to pick one from the many years of gaming I have XD. Since my first handheld was a Game Boy Color back in the 90s. With oddities out there like the Sega Game Gear even, Game Boy Advance has a lot of nostalgic value for me. But I feel like my all time favorite for what it offered was indeed the Nintendo 3DS for all the same reasons like Street Pass and all that. I wish I had people to street pass with locally xD. I grew up with both the DS and the 3DS. I love both because with the DS I have the pink DS Lite (only thing that doesn’t work anymore is the microphone, otherwise it still works fine). I don’t play it that much anymore though because the DS games are backwards compatible with the 3DS, which I play on almost everyday (I have the New Nintendo 3DS XL), mainly because of Animal Crossing, heh. I’m thinking when the Switch 2 comes out I might get it if it’s any good. It sucks the 3DS network closed down, because there were some really good games on the eshop. Anyways, my favourite handheld console is definitely the 3DS. I’ve had it since I was 9 and still use it a lot.
Also one of my siblings’ friends gave us a Pokémon Moon cartridge that he used to play on. It’s fun, but also he has some really good Pokémon on there heh, so yay free Pokémon.

@@jennstube1130 I would either go with the DSI XL or 3DS regular out of your options! The 3DS has an incredible library of games that is not worth missing but I am partial to a XL system so if I could reccomend- the original 3DS XL is in the same price range & is the best of both worlds!
personally, i think that you should get a 3ds. i dont know very much about the switch besides it having great exclusive games and the joycons sucking, so i cannot really recommend or speak badly about it. the 3ds is cute, has good games and I'm pretty sure it's good for modding if you're interested in that

The 2DS is super comfortable and IMO the best way to play Kid Icarus Uprising. I own 4 3DS models and still play on my 2DS a lot of times.
