See i had a problem when they first came out with the nerf for pathfinder, now not so much once you're used to it. The only problem I have now with pathfinder is that he is named a forward scout. He does not push forward anymore nor does he scout anything other than the beacons used for the ring.
i would suggest if in ranked is SLUM LAKES and CONTAIMENT my least favorite is Salvage its fuckin trash but those 2's i usually get 12 kill games there so try it if you want!:D
No, dont go the edges of the map if your new to game play pubs and only fight, fight dont loot dont waste time on loot go where the most enemys are landing and just fight, i love when lvl 500 players or so spend looting entire game then comes to last squad deals 0 damage insta dies and leaves even in ranked and pubs, so dont be like that just learn to fight, let the enemys do the looting for you and just deliver the loot for you.
Honestly play ranked solo from bronze and dont worry about RP. Just get into fights and learn the flow of the game. Ranked will let you face people of similar skill. Just land in popular spots. Or close to them and rotates towards action.
Honestly, learn the gun classes and your personal preference, and to legends as well. Practice your recoil control in firing range and change your controls. The "default settings" can only get you so far. I recommend you change buttons. Put auto sprint on as well. Play in pubs (normal matches) and get into fights. It might be scary and panicky but if you keep doing it, you'll be more calm and have the idea of a flow of the battle. Watch videos about tips.
