Great stuff, Sam. I appreciate the insight to the shift of uneconomic activities that start joining the GDP. The revenue flow for TaaS will mostly be from what were previously 'un-economic' drives, so that should be like economic jet fuel. And on top of that, the people paying for the TaaS are saving money. All kinds of win, unless you're part of the Big Oil racket.
Love this discussion but @ around 30:00 this discussion goes down hill. What data/study points to Robots not leading to job losses? Tech is a huge killer of jobs, saying otherwise is kinda disingenuous. Also I have exposure to the field (Construction/Industrial) so I can tell you the real reason for employee turnover in the Construction and Industrial space, and it's not the "interest" it's the combination of relative low pay and horrible working conditions. Mainly horrible working conditions. Way too many people in this space speak about the employees as though they were slaves. The disrespect blue collar workers get is the primary reason they always form unions.
@@tomcat8662 you are right and safety is a huge appeal. Unfortunately the work conditions I mentioned also include toxic managers who ignore safety 🦺 and treat employees horribly. You know the type of stuff in the harassment policies of a business...
34:22 "That's cool, hadn't thought about that one, that's really interesting" If something is interesting, you don't say it's interesting. As Saman Farid says it is "interesting" with the most bored face ever as Sam Korus is mansplaining it to a genius for 2 minutes.
Excellent questions! Great interview.

Well. You have to change it from the base textiles production industry first. Then change the rest of the production supply chain.

If working conditions are a problem, isn’t it better to have a robot doing the work? Seems like it would be a clear solution to the problem.
