Oh man, my whole body is sore from reaching over the engine bay for a total of 8 hours
Steemax That damn clutch man.. I told you.. annoying man
This is helpful the fact that you pointed out the secondary internal brake fluid resevoir for the clutch. I had a similar situation with my manual MK6 years ago 😄
Thanks man, I couldn't believe no one had mentioned it in the instructions or any of the threads. Just says don't run it dry or you'll get air in the brake lines... that's apparently impossible to do lol.
Steemax thanks for the video! So you mentioned that there was a separate internal reservoir. How did you end up filling it?
+EvoLou1126 that's correct. So although it looks full and it's filled to the brim when you look through the fill hole you just slowly keep filling it and it will start filling the clutch side. It's very odd
Steemax I think I understand. It eventually fills, it just takes time, unlike bleeding the brakes where you see the reservoir level go down immediately as you drain from the brake lines. I've been thinking about doing this preventative mod. When I changed the transmission mount, my 1-2 shift improved like it felt more connected. It's been a few months now and maybe I got used to it but I'm looking to tighten it up some more. Having a tighter pitch stop might get that done.
Steemax how long does it take for the clutch to eventually fill up since it is divided in the reservoir?? I'm definitely gonna do this mod, but you got me worried 4 hours of bleeding!??
awesome congrats man
+WHENZLUNCH thanks dude!
8 hours! wow that is crazy. I've wanted to do this but hmmm??. btw welcome to the ambassador program, you deserve it!
What's the ambassador program
I have to do this soon with my added power.. Piece of mind like @Lasthumansgararge would say...
Definitely... just take your time with it
Next time you pull your intercooler, you should cut the tape and tip-tie on the wiring loom. After that it should lay flat and not scratch anything.
+Casper W thanks Casper, good call. I completely forgot to address that
Good. God. No thanks!
I know right?!
