Americans own 45% of all firearms on earth. Gotta love that. Hell look at whats happening in Texas. if the governor gives the go ahead this invasion of people from Latin America will stop immediately.
This is all I kept thinking the whole time. Yea, are military is beyond impressive, but don't forget about the millions that have legal and illegally owned guns. They think 9/11 brought everyone together? Invade us and see how we rise up and defend our lands. Lol!!! It will be a revolution like never seen or heard of before.
A quick correction: The cyber attack on the pipeline that ran from Texas to the east coast of the US did not cause the pipeline to shut down. The hack caused the company that operates the pipeline to be unable to monitor the amount of oil flowing through the pipeline, stopping them from being able to bill their customers. It was an internal decision by the company to shut down the pipeline to prevent financial loss. The pipeline was fully capable of transporting the oil, but the company shut off the tap intentionally in the interest of profits.
As an American, I will say that internally we argue a lot with each other, but nothing brings us together more than someone from outside our country trying to start shit. If anyone tried to invade us, all of us citizens would be armed and ready to fight within 24 hours.
We are a big American family… we fight like cats and dogs but come after one of ours and you’ll regret it. We will defend our own despite our differences. 🇺🇸
Yes, western Europe, USA & Canada specialize in troop training. A large part of the Chinese Army is only good enough to keep their domestic population cowed. Both Russia & China are facing demographic collapse within a decade, and now Putin is putting breeding age men on the frontline to die.
And it's a lottery system, right? So not every dude would be drafted. In WW2 I believe the us military drafted only 9% of potential draftees. If necessary we could have brought more had the war gone differently. Then there's Vietnam ... Smh
@@Longhauler85 however, as fallacious as the "quote" may be, it holds some significant truth. The United States has the worlds largest nonstanding army in the form of it's citizenry. No military force on this planet can match the United States citizenry in arms per capita or the readiness of the population to take up arms against an invading aggressor. That includes the United States government should it become tyrannical.
I laughed so hard at your reaction when you realized the people of America had not crossed your mind yet. That was hilarious! Thank you for the great giggle.
As kids we grow up shooting. It is a hobby of many here. There are tree stands and blinds that hunters use everywhere here in Oklahoma. Invaders would have a hard time finding them.
Man I was smoking some weed he said that I couldn’t quit laughing. Then when he realize our secret of no matter what we do in America and how much we can Piss each other off once you interfere with us we will all be happy to mess you up lol
Another thing people also don’t consider is US civilians don’t only have standard firearms like rifles, shotguns and pistols. We are also allowed to possess tanks, anti aircraft guns, and rocket launchers. All you have to do is pay a $200 tax stamp.
The bit about our antimony supply is a moot point. The US has antimony (stibnite) deposits and would be able to supply ourselves if need be. Our mines were closed because it was cheaper and easier to buy it from elsewhere. If we were cut off from buying it, we would just reopen our mines.
Before, during, and after the war. We are always helping and giving to other countries but they continually berate our country & people. We are not perfect, but we are kind, generous, & compassionate.
America is a good Ally to have due to mutual friendly and loyal ties to their military. The civilian people however are another matter that NO ONE wants to deal with. Their arrogance, lack of intelligence or common sense are what makes them mere sheep to the slaughter. The rest of the world just shakes their head at them and constantly asks their military why they bother to fight for a country of people that really should be left to fend for themselves so that some healthy doses of natural selection helps to regrow the countries people.
In America ~CDB And we may have done a little bit Of fightin' amongst ourselves But you outside people best leave us alone 'Cause we'll all stick together And you can take that to the bank That's the cowboys and the hippies And the Rebels and and the Yanks
That's not true. Following the Mariel boatlift when street crime rose so high that police did bits on TV teaching the public how to defend itself bc FL still had no deadly force law, all the guns in FL weren't aligned to prevent the disaster. Also, in TX, southern born ppl and most immigrants proclaim hatred of "yankees" (meaning northerners), although most couldn't tell you exactly where the Mason-Dìxon Line is, so wouldn't know who their enemies and allies even are. It's much worse today when tik tok and news channels go all out to sow enmity among all groups of ppl. I would doubt a democrat would even take a stand next to a republican to fight an "enemy" even if he could recognize one as such.😂
I've traveled a lot and have never seen a country less likely to defend its own for any reason. Ppl just "wish" it was true that they would stand together. More likely we will have civil war as you see northern folks ready to destroy southern governors for shipping migrants to Northern cities. Speaking of such, how are you going to "fight together" when Uncle Joe has opened the border and allowed everyone in from 180 countries, (I think was reported). Wh of these folks are your enemies? Are the Africans going to stand w you or their brothers or fight other africans from the continent? Will the cartels fight to defend the Americans or use their status to take over? American born ppl know little about the rest of the world and almost no languages other than English. Not only would we not know who to trust among the mayhem, we wouldn't even be able to ask?!
You should react to Native Americans. Our communities are extremely patriotic overall, and have the highest rate of military service of any racial or ethnic group in the US. We too, are part of the US's secret weapons. Navajo language was completely unintelligible and was used in WWII to communicate without surveillance. Despite everything that has happened, the US flag and veterans always lead the grand procession at almost every Pow-Wow and many Native Americans will defend the land in the US. Many people do not know this, but the US government recognizes 574 tribal nations within the United States and these tribes have a government to government relationship with the US, including treaties, trade, and more. Tribal citizens are dual citizens of the US, and their tribal nation. Some tribes have even issued passports!
While living in Central AZ, there was an arsonist torching the Mongolion (sp.) Rim. When the firefighters showed up they were shot at by the arsonist. Finally cameras were set up and caught the arsonist in the act and identified him. He was a Tribal member. The AZ police apprehended the fugitive and turned him over to the Tribal chiefs to take care of. Then was relieved of his life.
You don’t get “no training”, when you go into the U.S. Military, whether it’s through the lottery OR on a voluntary basis. You get so many weeks of basic training. I went through Basic Training twice, in 1976 (6 week in the WAC’s: Women’s Army Corp) & 1982 (8 weeks in the regular Army).
Civilians COULD??? No civilians WOULD join fight. We might have a lot of infighting but don't mess with us. We fought for this country once, we have NO problem doing it again. #fafo
We fought with each other even. Americans have never had a problem fighting for their beliefs or their country. No one has killed more Americans in any war than other Americans.
Another thing to consider is our prison population. Just look at the stuff these folk can create with limited resources. Suicide squad the worst of the worst, if absolutely necessary. Commute sentences for the skill sets other prisoners can use against the enemy. We’re going to need the prisons for POWs anyway.
My sister is in the Army, my brother just retired from the Army. My husband served as an LA County Sheriff’s Department for 30 years. I am a retired high school teacher, my children, and grandchildren all grew up with guns in the home. I may be 58, but we live in a small town 20 minutes from the freeway. Our neighborhood had multiple law enforcement and military as neighbors. Plus, 90 plus percent of us have AR-15s and are more than willing to die fighting before bowing to anyone but God and Christ! America could be completely independent if attack. All my neighbors grow and have gardens and chickens. So, we are all good in our country. God save us all!❤️❤️❤️
We have a lot off frmr military personnel working all types of jobs! I have a coworker who is about to retire as a library technician. He was military police in the U.S. Army. He joined the army out of high school, yrs ago. If Mr R did not disclose he was frmr military, you would never guess!
14:25 I should mention that "last" antimony mine (and other rare earth metal mines) were not closed because they're depleted. They were closed because it's cheaper to import them from others who've done the dirty and 'environmentally damaging' work of extracting them. Remember, we CAN reopen those mines if needs be.
Correct. We also could mine our own lithium after passing a law to repeal the stupid restrictions we've put on rare earth metals whose oars are typically found mixed with thorium.
@@atomicmonkeysquad , plus, we make solid copper bullets , no lead cores, no antimony needed. The US military now uses the M855A1, which has a solid copper base, with a steel penetrator tip. There is no antimony in it. Antimony was primarily used for lead bullets. Lead is very soft, and once you hit a certain velocity, it will foul the barrel easily, so they use either antimony, or tin, to harden the bullets.
@@atomicmonkeysquadDo you have any idea how awful lithium is to humans and the environment? I believe how poisonous and damaging has far more to do with mining it being avoided in the U.S.
It also means we can let others deplete their own and when needed we can fall back on ours and deny the world critical resources. That's extremely long term thinking. We do the same with oil. Most of our wells are capped. We buy foreign because who doesn't want the US as a customer. They aren't likely to turn on us if their economy depends on us.
Keep in mind as well that the gun number shown here 10:25 is only counting REGISTERED firearms. I’d honestly say it’s probably at least 25% higher than that number.
Even during WWII, draftees were sent to basic training before before being sent overseas. My father was drafted by the Navy. He was in basic for about 2 months before being shipped out to Pearl before the attack.
Fun fact: A surprisingly high number of US citizens have Tanks and Fighter Jet aircrafts. US Citizens can buy old military equipment from the Government itself.
Love this video bro. I absolutely LOVE watching people from other countries who become flabbergasted at American might! Literally NOTHING makes me more proud. And as a true patriot myself, while I would surely be scared and would NEVER want such a thing, the idea of fighting for my country, and even dying is the most honorable way to die I can possibly think of. Again, not saying I’m some crazy war crazed mad man that would be a war hero… I’m sure I would be terrified. But I would happily do it to protect my family and country. Next, our guns… this is why the left here in America has lost their ever loving minds! Our entire countries founding doctrines, are literally based around two ideas. 1. Rugged freedom and individualism, but a core belief in country and fellow countryman. Not that a government has to force us to help our fellow countryman, but a man with true freedom, will do so willingly. And we have. And still do. 2. That we would rather die on our feet than live on our knees. And a large part of that is to protect our country from enemies both foreign AND DOMESTIC! Our founders were BRILLIANT men. They saw how quickly a corrupt government will turn on its own population. And a well armed militia is crucial to the defense of our sovereignty. A war against the civilians would be a nightmare. I have… some guns we will say. And I know guys with arsenals that make mine look like I’m playing with GI joes.
Not everyone keeps guns at home, but, overall, we have more weapons per capita than some nations' entire militaries. Lots of highly trained veterans, too. FAFO.
Yep. It's likely that every family in America has or had at least one member who joined the military. In my own family for instance, my grandfather served in WWII (though he did not see actual combat, he was about to be sent overseas to fight when the war finally ended), my great uncle is a retired Air Force Lt. Colonel, and my younger cousin is currently an active duty Marine (last I heard, he's a Lance Corporal, but he may have since earned a promotion, as it's been quite a while since I last received an update on his rank). Both of my parents & my aunt used to hunt as well, and my uncle & cousins still hunt (the older of the two has even taken down a bear before). So they would all know their way around a gun. And I want to learn myself, just for self-defense purposes.
People don't understand, even Americans that want (auto-rifles) to have some regs, own guns. Almost everyone I know has a hand gun, including Dems & Libs.
I live a block away from Rock River Arms. If the US mainland is ever invaded, the doors to their armory are going to swing wide open, and everyone in my hometown, who isn't already armed, will be armed to the teeth.
I am a very well trained veteran, and I would bet I could take out at least 5 before I would go down. 'Better to die on one's feet than to live on one's knees' - Zapata
Thank you for serving..... It is because of men like YOU that me and my (upper middle class) family sleep well each night..... Because we know that YOU are there to protect us if any enemy ever does attack. --The US military personnel are the best trained, most well equipped and highly motivated soldiers this world has ever seen.
As an American, we love to exercise our individuality and freedom of speech. Overstep on either of these in a real way and we will band together and stand up strong in a heartbeat.
I don’t think any other Country is dumb enough to invade us. That being said, our citizens will stand shoulder to shoulder with our military and defend our Country till our last breath. And we are taught from the time we are young’ns how to hit what we aim at.
And add to that the fact that America has friends who would come to our defense in a heartbeat. The UK, Canada, etc. Plus fellow NATO members would be obligated to come to our defense as well. So if you tried to go to war with the US, you would very likely end up facing off with half of the world, if not more....with America at the forefront.
Sadly if someone was to attack america, it wouldn't be to invade but rather all out genocide. America is ready for a physical attack, their own peoples lack of intelligence means a non physical attack is their greatest weakness and would annihilate them easily. And the people would help that attack along in their blind stupidity. America is all about Me, Myself and I. They forgot and decided to forgo the mentality of its people as a whole a long time ago.
@7:09 I believe (The internet will correct me if I am wrong) during WWII, Germany tried to court Mexico to invade The U.S. Mexico declined the request.
Yes. In the unlikely event that we were invaded by troops, any step they took would likely be their last. I’m retired law enforcement and between me and just a couple of my neighbors we could defend ourselves for weeks. Even months. Plenty of water and food, arms and ammo, and plenty of pride.
Yep. In the event of an emergency, it is incredible how quickly we pull together. I can't speak for big cities, but in my circle of friends we have individuals who can handle transport, food, medical, armament, etc. For example, a friend of mine died a few years ago from old age. At her funeral, the head of a major disaster relief network showed up and said this about her: "When Katrina was first making landfall, I started calling out to my network looking for aid for New Orleans because it was going to be bad. Everyone I contacted was telling me it would be a day or two before they could get into the region, but maybe I should try this number... Eventually I made contact with (the deceased), but it was hard to hear over the noise, so I shouted into the phone: "I'm looking for help in New Orleans, this storm is going to cause a disaster!" (The deceased) replied into the phone, "I know, I'm sorry I'm late, but I'm doing 120 down the freeway in a semi. I've got a busload of volunteers an hour behind me and we expect to be in the area before dawn, but I can't drive any faster." I was stunned. Everyone else was telling me it would be a couple of days before they could even get moving and here was someone already on the way and expecting to be there before sunrise, so I asked, "Where are you coming from that you can get here so soon?" (The deceased) replied, "South Dakota.""
@@kittenisageekand that’s our amazing beautiful American right there for you ❤. One part of our country gets ripped in half you best believe the other half of the country is trying its best to help repair it. Love it comes in all different shapes and sizes. Even when we’re not getting along. ❤❤❤
I once saw a Reddit thread about this exact topic. They were talking about how hard it would be for another country to seize and occupy the US territory. If they could somehow get through the Navy, the Coast Guard, Army, Marines and gained Air superiority over our Air Force, (and Space Force) they would have the geography to contend with. So let’s say they somehow got their troops and supplies over the Rockies, Appalachian’s, the desert environment of the Southern States. After all that- they would be faced with 300 million well armed, pissed off American citizens who are unabashedly trigger happy and have home field advantage. It would be impossible for any other country’s Army to occupy the United States because they would essentially be fighting a second, much larger armed force. After losing a good portion of their troops in the initial conflict with our Military, the rest of the forces would have to out-shoot the American people. And that’s impossible to do. Hell, we even shoot our selves and each other. An invading country doesn’t stand a chance.
“They ran through the briars and they ran through the brambles, and they ran through the bushes where a rabbit couldn’t go- ran so fast that the hounds couldn’t catch ‘em, down the mississippis to the Gulf of Mexico”. Johnny Horton song makes me think of the people fighting off an army
Large bases in southern CA and throughout TX. The Gulf Coast has military installations. Going through Mexico including setting up would be extremely difficult. It would become a kill box.
They talk about how much money the US spends on defense, but I would be curious how much the average citizens spend per year on guns and ammo. The armed population would be every bit as dangerous. We know our land around our homes and any invading force would take heavy losses.
And they would be spending every minute of every day worrying if an American had a gun aimed at them right then and there. Those of us who are hunters could easily resort to guerilla warfare and take one or two stealthy shots before slipping away, robbing an invading force of any peace of mind or ability to get a good rest. Law Enforcement would be able to coordinate with civilians and the military to identify and eliminate enemy leadership. And the military itself could just relentlessly hammer any would-be invaders into submission. And we would know the layout of our towns and wilderness far better than an invader, and could thus even bait an invader into a nasty trap, such as a "killbox" or luring enemy troops into the path of some of our more dangerous and aggressive wildlife. I mean, imagine the panic for an invading force for some of their troops to have just stumbled across and been bitten by venomous snakes (like the Eastern or Western Diamondback, which we have an antivenin for in the event any of our own were bitten, but an invader more than likely would not), into the path of an angry bear or moose, etc. Americans are very clever when we need to be, and we could almost certainly find ways to turn even our wildlife against an invader.
I personally have a thousand rounds for every gun I own and I have a lot of guns. I only spend maybe $1000 on guns every year. However I know people who spend 5-10k a year. I’m a retired firefighter/emt. I can guarantee you that we have disaster plans in effect for every scenario. We have our radios set up so we can all talk outside of 911. The DOT, cops, fire, ems, utilities and military can all communicate and coordinate during times of an emergency if need be. Not saying it always works perfectly but the set up is there. Also believe it or not there are volunteer groups of HAM radio operators that are also involved
I believe that is the reason for the 2nd Amendment. An armed civilian population is a deterant. The enemy can only do sneak terrorist attacks. Hit and run. It may hurt for a minute, but we unite quickly. They could not sustain a long-time invasion.
I'm in Alabama. My sister and brother-in-law came to visit from California. He was shocked when someone in the group of 20 +/- suggested we do some target shooting and every one of us pulled out a gun, including all the women. Generally speaking, we're allowed to fight amongst ourselves, but nobody else is allowed to mess with one of our people. When it comes down to it, we're a family and we'll stick together.
America is not just full of civilians who own firearms it’s full of veterans who own firearms. On top of that the marine corps and navy are on the coast while the army and national guard are spread out in the interior states. We have military spread out across the world after that and it’s intentional. So before we are invaded the invading country/countries will have to deal with our deployed forces giving the states ample time to prepare for an attack. And if for some strike of luck the invading forces manage to win we have subs placed all over the ocean with payload to individually destroy countries.
that mentality has a very severe, dangerous and troubling weakness. You are prepared for a full frontal attack, you are not ready for a reignited Cold War of Darkness and Espionage where you do not know which direction they are coming from and you never see them coming because they were right behind you the whole time. Just food for thought of just how scary this world really is, it is not as easy and black and white as everything thinks it is.
Yup we have the main military then the reserves, then the Guard which includes both national guard and the national air guard, then you have the fact most states have militia laws to draft those that are unfit for the other groups to provide training meaning you could end up with most people having training while working and not light training like russia is currently doing
And here I thought it was just refreshing to see a young, curious Brit bringing it our sadly uninformed and poorly educated youth, I’ve really learned lots and had long forgotten learning awakened. I really enjoy his curiosity and joy of learning. Keep it up. I’ve been around since Eisenhower and much has changed. Always have loved almost everything about the UK. I’m still equally as curious about y’all. While we’re impressive, we don’t have the NHC or the depth of history.
In the US, we are lucky we don’t have a National Health Services. Here in America, you can call your doctor for an appointment and get seen pretty quickly, or if you need surgery, you are cared for promptly. It’s not the same in countries that have free health care. In some places, like the UK or Canada, you must wait many months to see a doctor or even more time to get surgery. Sometimes, things look good on paper, but when putting those things into effect, it doesn't look or work as such a good thing.
When he mentioned all the guns in the US, what he forgot to say was how many veterans there are. After Japan attacked Pearl Harbor, Admiral Yamamoto made the statement,"I think we just woke a sleeping giant". He may be the one that said invading would be to dangerous because behind every blade of grass is a rifle.
"What's the best position to invade America" Laughs in Texan Joins Louisiana, gives them a beer "what's the best position to invade America" Texas and Louisiana jovially laughs in a brotherly manner
The US interstate system is comprehensive. There are all sorts of rumors about it that I've heard over the years, like every so many miles, there has to be a section straight and flat enough to land an airplane on. And that there's a priority system in case of national disaster, where the interstate will only be open to military vehicles, then emergency vehicles, then commercial deliveries, and lastly personal vehicles. Every state has its own National Guard branch, so that would be super easy for them to deploy at a moment's notice.
It's not an 'empty rumor'..... One of every five miles of the highway system must be straight. This is not only for the possible military use but also for emergency situations involving civilian aircraft.🙂
Lets be for real...if there was a national emergency so bad they had to shut down the interstate every vehicle in the area would be on the road trying evac all at once, and every lifted 4wheel drive pick up would just go around the blockade. Im from fla ive seen it happen.
Most kids, at least in rural areas, start with BB guns. We are taught at an early age not to waste ammo meaning hit what you are shooting at. All of us kids, brothers, sister, cousins started shooting real guns at around 5 or 6 years old. Mostly single shot 22's or 410 shotguns. Not all the time but a few times a year. By 11 or 12 we were hunting on our own. I let all my grandkids shoot at 6yrs old. Still have that old .22 passed down to me by my grand dad. Family tradition
Not to mention, we create our own weapons, not only guns but bombs (think of Thermite as an example) or other chemical (fertilizer) based. Parents bought my own chemical kit when I was 6. or sticky bomb flame thrower. (for Info use only of course)
As an American who never served in the military, seeing foreigners react to the US military always makes me smile. It’s easy to forget, as I sit here watching silly RUclips videos, that I’m only able to do that because our military is so strong. I can own all the guns I want, say whatever I want, and dissent all I want, because we’re protected by the baddest MFs who ever lived. If you ever served the US military, and you’re reading; THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING!!!
Many of us are in families who have a lineage of military service. My grandfather died in 1921 from the grievous shrapnel wounds he suffered in WW-I in France. My mother wasn't born until 4 months after he died. I wouldn't be born for almost 37 years to my father who served aboard a Battleship in WW-II. My older half brother served in the Navy aboard a Cruiser during the Cuban missile crisis. While I served in the Army Infantry after Vietnam up until the Gulf War. Though we prepared for months our unit never deployed. Unfortunately my military career was cut short due to an injury. So that why Toby's song always brings a tear to my eye.
No one's ever gonna invade the U.S.A. because we also have a lot of ex - VETs that are still willing to still protect ! As an Ex-Army Ranger for 22 years and I can insure you that the oath that we took to protect this country from all enemies foreigner and domestic ! So bring it on🎉
My uncle was drafted and went to Vietnam. The draft hasn’t been used since then. I have friends who are armed to the teeth. They have whole rooms for their guns. The average gun owner has 2-3 minimum in Texas.
I'm pro self defense and personal firearms.... --I thought it was surprising that I heard on the news one night that, even with so many armed citizens in the state of Texas, death by gunshot, is relatively low! I would assume that the trend would be just the opposite but then a friend corrected me: Because everyone knows that everyone else is armed..... They are not about to pull their weapon and start anything! 😀
@@jeff-hopkins Parents are also teaching their kids to hunt and gun safety. Everything starts at home. Good behavior and bad. Might as well teach them young so they grasp it early under the correct guidance. It’s better to get your first gun from your dad than the thug in the streets.
You might invade, but you won't live long enough to enjoy it, once grandma finds out. Back in the 1910's thorough the 1940's, my grandmother won the county shooting match every year. She would always put 6 bullets in the same hole, reload, move over one inch, on put six more in that hole. She ran a country grocery store for years by herself, and her kids, while my grandfather was out making deliveries, or answering a service call with the wrecker. She wasn't scared to be by herself. Not with that Saturday Night Special in her apron pocket.
There is no Draft currently in the US , but every male 18 to 25 still has to register, the last time the Draft was active was in the Vietnam era. In 1973 the US finally got out of Vietnam, just a few months before I turned 18 in 1974, I was still required to register, and I did. Many soldiers in the Vietnam war were drafted, but not everyone was chosen, many slight medical conditions would eliminate a large percentage of them. And the ones who did pass all the medical testing were not immediately thrown into action, they would go through months of training before being a soldier.
The spring of '87, shortly before I graduated high school, a Marine Corps recruiter called me. He told me that he heard I might be interested in serving with the Corp. (Am I spelling that correctly?) I snapped to and told him, "Sir! Yes, Sir! I have always felt it was honorable to serve the nation through the armed forces.... But I'm not certain if I quite qualify physically any longer, Sir." The firm sounding man responded, "Oh! Is there something specific that you think might disqualify you?" I sadly hung my head and admitted, "Well, Sir.... from the waist down.... I've got quite a bit of metal in my body, Sir." He hardly paused then replied, "Ooh! Car accident?: he asked. I grinned and solemly nodded my head, "Sir! Well, yes so.... One of those too, Sir!" --He liked that response. We both laughed at that one! 😀 (A car accident with broken leg, skull fractures and 3rd degree concussion in fall or '85. Broke both legs again, repeated skull fractures and 10 days comatose after I was hit by a speeding pick up truck while riding my pedal bike in '86.)
@@Kevmaster2000 Have you ever registered to vote? In most if not all States you more or less have to sign that you can be drafted if your 18-25 and male and your health doesn't disqualify you (if someone has a health issue it could wind up leading to their own death or the death of the entire unit if they try to save you) when you go register to vote...hell may also be for when you get a license/photo ID as well (got a drivers permit with my photo and voting registration at of that at the same time so any one to those may have been the thing I needed to sign up for the register but I'm 99% sure it was signing up to vote though that did it)). Granted hasn't really been a concern as there's been no emergency where a draft is required (granted depending on how Ukraine vs Russia goes it could lead into a World War I guess if things keep escalating)...granted at that point it's your problem as I'm unlikely to be picked up due o being older than the max age of 25 (I'm 33 next month) and having some health conditions that would likely have them not pick me even if I wanted to go as like I stated before I'd be too much of a liability on the field...at best I guess they could throw me on logistics here in the US but or some other off the battlefield role but that'd be about it.
I think the biggest threat to America is America itself. For instance, we have to be careful as to who we vote in as the Commander in Chief (President) who takes authority over military spending, troop movements, and weapon deployment.
As reference to Commander and Chief..... maybe it’s NOT a good idea to have thousands of miles of open boarders for your enemies to sneak in anyone and anything!?! Research just how many thousand
(sorry, wrong button) thousands of illegals, “got-a-ways” that they have no idea who they were! People’s republic soldiers? Special Forces, hackers, suicide bombers, electrical engineers? The gov. didn’t even know the Chinese had Secret Police stations in USA cities!?! The invasion began when the boarder was opened. They will beat us from within! Taking control of our infrastructure and holding the entire country hostage by turning everything off and waiting for the Commander and Chief to surrender! Wonder how many millions were paid to.... someone...to open the boarder ? President Xi must be laughing his @$$ of at us!!!
Yes as the other comment said we would be trained, the draft is just to garuntee a certain number of troops if we need to draw from that, but we would be trained just as every other soldier would.
If we don't have guns, we will find something to fight with. Wasp or hornet spray with a lighter would make the enemy think they made a mistake. I don't think any American would surrender without a fight. This is OUR home and we are brothers no matter our race or beliefs. We are not going down without taking the enemy with us!
@@deegibb6368this makes me think of the video I saw of the grandmother in Ukraine making Molotov cocktails saying “let those Russian shits come”. Ahahhahaha. Carbon copy, - I’m taking at least 5 of you with me. Don’t come here.
Mexico is to the south of the United States, not South America. South America is an entirely different continent separated from the U.S. by many other countries in between. Any country would be foolish to even try invading America because they would not only find they were significantly outmatched militarily, but they would also face a very heavily armed citizenry at every turn.
After 9/11 there was a very long period of unity where everyone in this country felt like family…and an enemy had hurt that family. It didn’t matter if you black or white, gang member or cop, banker or farmer, gay or straight…you name it. EVERYONE in this country was ready to rally and fight for our freedoms, our safety and each other. It was a tragic, but amazing thing to experience 🇺🇸
We also had unity, with the world at this point. Ill never forget the day of silence across the world. Countries were with us, standing firm by our side. Things have changed so much. But i am with you. It was tragic. But it was an amazingly beautiful thing to witness a sense of unity and peace within america, and the world outside of it. Everyone wanted us to get the enemy.
Yes it is so sad where we are now. I have always loved any color. As a white girl I Baltimore I grew up with all and we all liked each other. Now it seems like a civil war in between Trumpees or not. Sad.
When you become an American citizen, you’re required to swear an oath to many things, one of them being that if the country needs you, you’ll be willing to take up arms to defend the US
@@nbody6942 Negative. You can't be drafted above the age of 26. You might be thinking of the age of enlistment which is the latest age you can enlist in the military, but that varies by branch: Air Force: 17 - 39. Army: 17 - 35. Coast Guard: 17 - 31. Marine Corps: 17 - 28. Navy: 17 - 39. Space Force: 17 - 39.
Yes, when we turn 18, as an American male, we have to register for the draft. I was in the US Navy when I got the notice there was an arrest warrant on me for not registering. I guess that was quashed fairly fast as I was already a member of the US forces. SMH
FYI The highway system in the U.S. was built during the Eisenhower presidency in the 1950's. And yeah, that's Eisenhower as in "Ike" Eisenhower who's previous job was as the Supreme Allied Commander during W II.
Anyone drafted would be fully trained. They would never be sent into combat without training. Just because Antimony mines were closed, does not mean they could not be re-opend. There are other metals, like Gallium, that are produced in China and Russia. Gallium is produced during the process to make Aluminum, it does not exist as deposits by itself. But just because we buy it from China only means it is cheaper to buy it than produce it. In war, cost is somewhat irrelevant.
Dude, if you were to get drafted, they wouldn't just stick a uniform on you and ship you to the front, you have to go through training cycles first. You would go through boot camp then specific infantry training etc. The problem with destroying your adversaries satellites is, they create space junk from the debris, which can then take out your own satellites. So, you have think long and hard about doing that.
Bear in mind, the most of the military budget goes to foreign support. So imagine if we took away all of the money we give to others, and put it towards ourselves, either economically or militarily. Things would be insane.
lol thats exactly what i was thinking when i saw the chart. We spend that money defending YOU! And all your pretencious neighbors, and their neighbors, and a bunch of other assholes....AND theyre suppose to reimburse us! Which they often dont, least not in full.
They had better not come through Texas! The amount of citizen owned weaponry is ABSOLUTELY INSANE!! ❤️❤️(and…THERE IS NO WAY IN HELL WE WOULD JUST SIT IDLY BY!! 🤜🏼🤜🏼)
7 million illegals "came through” Texas in the last couple years. That’s called an invasion, you did nothing about it but sit in the air conditioning. You didn’t pick up your weapon and use it.
I spent nearly 20 years practicing counter insurgency operations . I’m armed and fervently love my country. I will not hesitate to unleash any hell I can on an invading force.
Don't take it the wrong way but, you know your on a list right? just like EOD guys. IF the gov ever tried something they'd cuff everyone they could get ahold of in secret first. But again big "IF".
If you ever travel by car in the US, a good thing to remember about the insterstate highway system is that highways are numbered by direction. Highways ending in 0, such as I-20, run East/West, and highways ending in 5, such as I-35, run North/South. If a highway has three digits, such as I-635, then it is a loop. 😊
About the three digits: If it is a 3-digit Interstate Highway, the first digit matters. Even first digits, (2xx, 4xx, etc.) are either loops or simply go around a major city. Many are not loops. 476 is an example of one that is not a loop. Odd first digits, (1xx, 3xx, etc.) are highways that go directly into and sometimes through a major city and most times into the highway that has the 2 digits that correspond with the 3 digit highway. Bring a map up of Washingron D.C. That is the perfect example. 95 is the major highway that goes North and South through the D.C. area. 495 is the Beltway that goes around it in a loop. Part of the time, in this case 95 & 495 are the same highway. There is also a 295 which helps you avoid going into the center of D.C. You will also find spurs off of those highways like 395 which take you from 95 and 495 directly into D.C. You can also look a little further N.E. at the city of Baltimore with a similar loop and spurs directly into (or away from depending upon the direction you are going) the city. I know there are many out there that can clean this up a bit for me and explain it much better, but I hope it was fairly clear.
I have a family member who has several firearms and he and his son know how to use them quite well. He could protect his family quite easily from invaders. He first got interested in them from his father-in-law, who has several firearms too. He’s a collector. Another thing. You gotta figure the illegal gun owners in with the legal ones in the U.S. Because I’m pretty sure that, when it comes right down to it, they would protect our country from invaders just as easily as anyone else in our country. And there’s not tellin’ what kind of guns they got.
Oh yeah, I just saw a thing the other day that said US civilians own something like 40-45% of privately owned firearms ON THE PLANET… And I was like “aw man, I thought for sure it would be higher than 50%.”
I think that Big City folk, like from LA or NYC, are the reason the number is so low. They're skewing the scale for the rest of us. My dad started teaching my sister and I how to handle guns when we were 8 to 10. My niece and nephew got their first guns (kept in their daddy's safe, of course) when they were 8 to 10. I regularly have customers come in carrying and nobody even thinks twice about it. I remember back in the '80s the post office and most banks would have a table just inside the door where you would place your firearm until you finished your business there.
That 40-45% is just the legally owned weapons. You will not believe how cheap and easy it is to obtain a firearm from other countries, without all the pesky taxes and background checks.
Look up the comment by Admiral Yamamoto from Japan prior to attacking Pearl Harbor. He was asked about potentially invading mainland US. He said under no circumstances should Japan consider invading the US since you would find a guy behind every blade of grass with a gun (not a quote). If you want to see a great movie about civilians using personal guns against an invader, watch Red Dawn with Patrick Swayze.
I personally don't own any guns. I used to drink a lot. It didn't seem like a great idea. Anyway, despite not owning any, I took my son for his 12th b-day to the range and spent half of the day teaching him how to load and unload, aim and fire shotguns, rifles and handguns. When he was 16, I rather unwisely used my own manual shift car to teach him how to drive one. There are just some things I think everyone should know how to do in the case of an emergency.
Also we have a mind boggling amount of decommissioned military vehicles and equipment that could still be used if necessary that are not even included in the numbers that you see videos of. So the numbers of trucks, tanks, aircrafts, ships, etc etc are WAY higher than what you think they are.
We tend to just put them in the desert. Although with how long it's taking things to get ready for Ukraine I'm not sure how fast it'd be. I'm not sure if we have production lines for the Abrams anymore too.
I think it would happen a lot faster than that though because we would all agree with it. As far as sending money and weapons to Ukraine, 95% of us do not agree with doing so.
Not only do we have weapons and vehicles, aircraft and naval vessels in storage but in a national emergency we can nationalize the national fleet of airliners (like we did for Desert Storm) or any other civilian or commercial vehicle or asset. About one third or so of Americans are gun owners and regularly go to the range to practice their shooting skills. But of those gun owners they have enough rifles and pistols to supply many of their neighbors with weapons and probably with the necessary ammunition to boot. We Americans like to think we can shoot the balls off a piss ant at 300 yards, so we do pride ourselves in our marksmanship!
@@aarondelafuente8507 Yep! And I got a marksman pellet rifle when I was four and learned to be a crack shot like Papaw. Je had me killing bluejays, crows, and woodpeckers because they would get in the garden and pecan trees. Got my first 20 gauge shotgun at 8 to kill the snakes in the pond. So yeah I learned to be deathly accurate at a young age. Also learned to respect guns and know they are not toys, and that you should never point a gun at someone without just cause and with the intent to use it.
Love the will to fight line. The last time a country questioned our will to fight, they got nuked twice. Although not the only mistake, one of the biggest ones Japan made in WW2 was thinking Americans wouldn’t have the will to fight back after they attacked Pearl Harbor. Boy were they wrong.
The biggest mistake the Japanese made at Pearl Harbor was not bombing the fuel tanks containing 4.5 million barrels of fuel oil for the Pacific Fleet. Would've crippled the US Navy for a lot longer than the ships that were destroyed. Serious miscalculation on the Imperial Navy's part.
@@proxyminer6876 likely not. The USA was NOT a super powerhouse at the time. WW2 turned us into one. In terms of global power, we were quite low comparatively. #17 I believe. WW2 and the Red Scare turned the US into superpower.
Correct about the military power of the U S. when we entered the war. The WWII museum in New Orleans is outstanding and has a great display depicting the force strength of Germany vs the U.S. at the start of the war.
14:30 We buy antimony from other countries because politicians decided it was not worth the environmental impact to mine it ourselves. Our mines could be reopened in days if needed.
2:25 It's even more extreme than he mentioned here. Almost all production occurs outside of large cities. And there's usually multiple contractors that produce or can produce most vital components (redundancy). And most stuff is made in the middle of nowhere in Oklahoma or Alabama or something, and those companies are seen as like the benevolent benefactor of that town.
What we also have is what is called the Intercoastal Sound on the East coast. It's an inner water front protected by land. Just inside our coast is a long sound of water so that we can move ships and whatnot while being protected by a strip of land
We commemorate every year the one time our soil was seriously attacked in modern times - Pearl Harbor. Such a surprise attack would be impossible today. If we were attacked I would load up and serve, with several choices of equipment based on my assigned mission.
Not just Pearl Harbor. 9/11 as well. We never forget when we have been attacked, and we memorialize the lives lost in both incidents, and we learn form them to ensure that they can never happen again.
On the issue of shooting down satellites. Something the video surprisingly didn't talk about is that while China and Russia boasted about how they were able to shoot down our satellites, they seem to have forgotten that we'd already done that. And to make it even more embarrassing, we did it back in 1985.
People give us hell for not having free healthcare but I think the ability to glass an entire continent without fear of retaliation is a much better perk
worst comment I've ever read, jfc. You'd really rather your own neighbors die in the streets, homeless and sick, so long as you can mass murder another country without repercussion? Seriously? Unironically? You are going with that?
I knew the civilian angle was coming. I myself own 3 semiautomatic handguns, 4 rifles, a shotgun and a long-range precision sniper rifle (and I'm not alone in my circle of friends and co-workers.) I have more than 3,000 rounds of ammunition in my closet at home, as I participate in precision shooting events and club events every weekend. I find it more satisfying as a hobby than collecting stamps or coins. And, again, I am not alone in this. Something like 97% of the personal firearms and ammunition in the entire world resides in the USA. And trust me, you get into someone's neighborhood, a place in which they have spent their entire lives, and you are on the defensive, not the offensive. So, even if another country were to get "boots on the ground" in the USA, they would be facing an entire population of armed citizens who know how to shoot to kill. Until we get into a Star Trek/Star War type of situation, invading the US mainland just isn't a feasible option for the other nations on the planet.
As long as said guns are kept safe, operated safely and are not used on Innocents, then you do you, I may not be a gun person but I respect my fellow Americans rights the own guns as long as they follow those rules I said earlier and such
@@Yuki_Ika7 Appreciate that. Guns have become a hot button issue this decade. It wasn't like that when I was young (I'm 60 years old.) I remember going hunting after school on Fridays with a group of students led by our High School PE teacher (the "adult supervision", so-to-speak.) We would arrive in the parking lot with our rifles racked in the gun racks of our pickup trucks and LEAVE THEM THERE during class. They would still be there once school ended. A different time to be sure. There were just as many guns per population back then as there are now, just no "school shootings" or massacres. Seems like a lifetime ago. On the other hand, there was no homeless population, drug epidemic or mental health crisis in those days either. And families back then had both a mother and a father in the family unit. And let me tell you, most of us were more scared of what our fathers would do to us than what the law would do to us. I think all of that is missing in this day and age. Far too many of the kids these days are missing father figures, wrestling with unchecked mental health issues and being raised by the streets (instead of their parents.) ALL of the school shooters and people shooting up churches and theaters, etc. have had (sometimes long term and severe) mental health problems. All of them. But that, according to the liberal politicians, is not the problem. It's the inanimate firearms, that can do nothing without the direct intervention of a human being. What we have in this country, is a mental health crisis, which helps to fuel the drug epidemic, which fuels our homeless population. Cheers.
This man is a god damn content KING! I swear every time i hop on youtube, even when its multiple times in the same day, dude has a new video up less than a day old and I AM SO HERE FOR IT. Thank you for doin the lords work man
Just to clarify, even when you are drafted, you go through boot camp. That is what happened to the characters in Full Metal Jacket. We haven't used the draft since The Vietnam War though, we've found that a volunteer military is easier to train and more cohesive in battle.

If drafted, you would get training. We're not Russia.
Yep, they will make sure we are trained in the proper use of pronouns.
Yes, western Europe, USA & Canada specialize in troop training. A large part of the Chinese Army is only good enough to keep their domestic population cowed.
Both Russia & China are facing demographic collapse within a decade, and now Putin is putting breeding age men on the frontline to die.
😂😂😂
You'd likely get some equipment too, rather than be told to ask your girlfriend for a tampon in case you get shot.
And it's a lottery system, right? So not every dude would be drafted. In WW2 I believe the us military drafted only 9% of potential draftees. If necessary we could have brought more had the war gone differently. Then there's Vietnam ... Smh
I love the China swagger about the satellite kill.
We did that back in 1985 with a missile launched from an F-15A, a design first flown in 1972.

The bit about our antimony supply is a moot point. The US has antimony (stibnite) deposits and would be able to supply ourselves if need be. Our mines were closed because it was cheaper and easier to buy it from elsewhere. If we were cut off from buying it, we would just reopen our mines.
Thanks! I was wondering about that, but Google didn't want to return any quick, direct results.

@sunshineandwarmth I disagree. I'd definitely fight for my fellow Americans. Period. 🇺🇲 ONE
Thank you, brother. Although I hope the day never comes, I will be proud to fight by your side if it does.
Facts!

WWII would have been longer and bloodier if it weren't for the Code Talkers.
Ya we like siblings we fight each other but when someone attack one of are own we join up and fight back
Agreed
Our armed civilians would give our own military fits. I can't imagine what they would do if another country tried to invade.

Same reason we import oil instead of using ours. We drain the rest of the supplies first
It also means we can let others deplete their own and when needed we can fall back on ours and deny the world critical resources.
Not to mention in the event of a war on our soil, the gun stores would be empty in a hurry haha. I would say that 25% would go a whole lot higher.
I suspect that would be much higher than 25% old guns don't die easy and even old guns can pack one hell of a punch.
Even during WWII, draftees were sent to basic training before before being sent overseas. My father was drafted by the Navy. He was in basic for about 2 months before being shipped out to Pearl before the attack.
As a man who lives in the hills with more guns than kids I can promise you the saying "a gun in every bush" is very much true.

Draftees aren't sent into action with no training. In fact, the training is extensive and grueling.
I have a spare for the neighbors.

I'm with you bro. The vet community alone are waiting for an excuse to go Mad Max on someone.

Yep. In the event of an emergency, it is incredible how quickly we pull together. I can't speak for big cities, but in my circle of friends we have individuals who can handle transport, food, medical, armament, etc. For example, a friend of mine died a few years ago from old age. At her funeral, the head of a major disaster relief network showed up and said this about her:
"When Katrina was first making landfall, I started calling out to my network looking for aid for New Orleans because it was going to be bad.

Yep. Former law enforcement as well. And where I live, most guns per Capita in the country.

And the fact that this entire time we would be bombing their capital into a new glass desert.
The very thing that makes people freak out the most inside of our country is the thing that ensures we are safe from our enemies.
That’s why it’s so contested, excellent point

Thank you for that. Didn't know about the loop part.
It is simpler then that. Even 2 digit numbers are E to W. Odd are N to S.
About the three digits:
If it is a 3-digit Interstate Highway, the first digit matters.
@@bobmurphy1935 Thanks for the info! I always wondered why I-110 was called that!
I agree.. as redneck southerner we were taught if you knew how many guns you had You don't have enough. I think those #s are wrong 😊
Double that
I think that Big City folk, like from LA or NYC, are the reason the number is so low.
You will not believe how cheap and easy it is to obtain a firearm from other countries, without all the pesky taxes and background checks.
that they know of ;)
I remember job applications asking if as an eligible male, have you registered for the draft.
Look up the comment by Admiral Yamamoto from Japan prior to attacking Pearl Harbor. He was asked about potentially invading mainland US. He said under no circumstances should Japan consider invading the US since you would find a guy behind every blade of grass with a gun (not a quote).
If you want to see a great movie about civilians using personal guns against an invader, watch Red Dawn with Patrick Swayze.
ive only seen the remake, it was ok. it has one of my fav qoutes tho.
'Marines dont die, they go to hell and regroup.' lmao
Marines are great.
@@Bar-Buryin95%? That's wrong. As of June 2023 American support for aid to Ukraine is around 65%. The percentage has gone up since March 2023
I'm a Retired Military veteran I have over 50 Firearms and Thousands of Rounds of ammunition myself

@@j_karmathat was actually part of the plan. They missed, which is crazy. The ones that aimed for it got shot down before they hit them.
From what I recall, and I could be wrong, Churchill cracked open a brandy when he heard about Pearl Harbor and said "we've won the war"
Also keep in mind that out of the entire 244 years of its existence the US has only had 15 years where we weren't fighting someone somewhere.
14:30 We buy antimony from other countries because politicians decided it was not worth the environmental impact to mine it ourselves. Our mines could be reopened in days if needed.
U are exactly correct we have lots of guns and would defend our families and fellow Americans to our last breath happily.
Just watched your vid on our deadly wildlife great vid btw. Our bears alone would be a nightmare for the enemy
What we also have is what is called the Intercoastal Sound on the East coast. It's an inner water front protected by land. Just inside our coast is a long sound of water so that we can move ships and whatnot while being protected by a strip of land
A Southern American and 4 of his best friends would be an absolute nightmare for a platoon of ground soldiers in their own backyard
I remember it was in high school that military personnel came to sign us up for the draft .
There are a ton of retired combat vets for War on terror all over the place.
The first time the United States was invade was the War of 1812.
9/11 as well

On the issue of shooting down satellites. Something the video surprisingly didn't talk about is that while China and Russia boasted about how they were able to shoot down our satellites, they seem to have forgotten that we'd already done that. And to make it even more embarrassing, we did it back in 1985.
No to mention USA did it with a f16 and a missile not a ground fired rocket

worst comment I've ever read, jfc. You'd really rather your own neighbors die in the streets, homeless and sick, so long as you can mass murder another country without repercussion? Seriously? Unironically?
You are going with that?
@@paulm581Hahaha…this is gold.
A Japanese general was quoted saying, "I would never invade America, there is a gun behind every blade of grass."
anytime someone says “and i’m telling you right now” my brain instantly goes to plane lady 😂😂
It wasn't like that when I was young (I'm 60 years old.)
I remember going hunting after school on Fridays with a group of students led by our High School PE teacher (the "adult supervision", so-to-speak.)
We would arrive in the parking lot with our rifles racked in the gun racks of our pickup trucks and LEAVE THEM THERE during class.
Far too many of the kids these days are missing father figures, wrestling with unchecked mental health issues and being raised by the streets (instead of their parents.)
ALL of the school shooters and people shooting up churches and theaters, etc. have had (sometimes long term and severe) mental health problems.
All of them.
But that, according to the liberal politicians, is not the problem. It's the inanimate firearms, that can do nothing without the direct intervention of a human being.
What we have in this country, is a mental health crisis, which helps to fuel the drug epidemic, which fuels our homeless population.
Cheers.
