Thanks much brother listing with my SONY -EXTRA BASS ear buds - WF-XB70 awesome job. No bass player should leave home without them. Thank you 🙏. And the great dog diggin it is heartfelt. 🙏👍
Very nice playing and very nice lesson.
Great job !!!!!! Greeting from Brazil
Good Job!!
I played on the demo at SMR in Nashville.
Nice job. I used to play this tune back in the mid-1970s.
According to the album's liner notes, the bassist on this song was Mike Leech, who was also the arranger/conductor. Not to change the subject, but other musicians credited as having played on the song include guitarist Reggie Young, keyboardist David Briggs and drummer Kenny Malone. Back on track, Mike Leech was a very underrated bass player, and overall, a very talented guy, who also arranged many of the recording sessions that he played on.
I gotta cover this in a few weeks - perfect lesson. Thanks!
This is my favorite bass cover video ever! I love your little audience!
Thanks, Scott. Nice job.
Big help man. Thank you from CHICAGO!

Nice job! If it is not an exact copy of the original bass line, it is very close to it.
Awesome job!

nice dog.
Nice
thanks man
All over it. Word up!
how different is this from Judson Spence version in terms of the bass line? Thanks
it's different but there are some similarities the basic notes sound the same
Great job, Scott! (I guess that's your name...from your screen name "scottstube101"). I was having a really hard time hearing the bass line on my crappy laptop speakers, but seeing your right hand made all the difference. I'm doing an instrumental version, where I play all the vocal parts on guitar. If I ever get off my ass an finish it I'll post it on RUclips - which would be my first video ever. Hey...how did you overlay the tab? Is that a software you can download from the internet? Is it free or for-pay? Seems REALLY cool for teaching what you're playing!
I overlaid the tab with avs video editor it is not free but there are free video editors that you can download
Btw was your dog thinking - “not this again dad!” 😄
Great rendition. Just when I though I'd nailed it, our singer wants it in C - two whole tones down 😒😒
Dude! Your hand won't fall off if you look away from your 10 happies once in a while
It is a nice bass line he just wish he knew how to play it because that ain't it I've played bass for 40 years and I can play the bass line to it so I know that ain't it don't teach people something you don't know
Hi in the description it says. Hi this is my bass cover of Drift Away by Dobie Gray i did not say it was exact sorry you thought otherwise
40 year bass ? Wow! How long have you been a complete @ $ $ hole?
Chill out dude
Are you as good at playing the bass as you are at run-on sentences?
You seem unnecessarily critical where’s the link to the video of you playing it better?
