It really irritates me when certain people discriminate people who are disabled. Mentally or physically. Or both. I’m mentally disabled but I’m able to take the regular city bus to work and have the dial a ride bus take me back home safely. If anyone dares to discriminate me, I’ll defend myself.

I've been a one leg amputee since 8 years old and I still receive that treatment to this day for over 30 years I put up with this it never dies down. Disability discrimination unlike racial discrimination is not based on hate well not most of the time anyway most of the time it's based on pure ignorance and thoughtlessness. Most people don't realize this but disability discrimination is based on a pre-programmed viewpoint perpetuated by Society and politics. I'm sorry to tell you this my friends but based on my experience I don't think things are going to change in our lifetimes. Instead of giving us the political Spotlight to help protect our rights we are ignored instead we get the I'm so sorry for your loss God bless you you're such an inspiration or the wise guy cracks we get when people think they're being funny or cute. To me the worst of it is the false pity. And even real genuine pity I don't like I don't need to be pitied I'm not going to self-pity myself so why do I need it from others. My disability doesn't get me down it doesn't stop me from living my life or trying new things or getting married and having kids or having a job even though it's harder to find a job with one leg but I manage. I don't need people's pity it seriously irritates me that's the only thing that gets me down as other people's pity and ignorance. Besides my athletic experiences what did I do to inspire these people that's any different from any other person. Walking on one leg at crutches or hopping around just doing what I do is it normal to me as normal for a person to have two legs doing the same things. I don't need to be called an inspiration I don't need to be pitied what I need is for people to start treating me like a normal human being as one of them rather than in their minds setting me apart from normal society. Whatever normal means. Normal it's just a label that causes societal segregation among minority groups. When a Pity people like me but they really do is trying to make themselves feel better. They look at someone like myself with one leg and it makes them afraid to think that that could happen to them. That is why they either give me the pity treatment or look away after a moment of being caught staring and socially and politically ignore.

I have Autism and my disability is more invisible and mental and the treatment I get from people is quite disgusting. I know things look like they are getting better and there is more awareness. But predjudice is still prominent. A lot of people don't make the effort or take the time to get to know us and just make assumptions on how capable we are.
I have been masking most of my life (although exhausting) it's the only way to get through life sadly. If I ask for support, get upset etc I'm made to feel an inconvenience to most people or I'm accused as some kind of snowflake.
I also hate how a majority of nuerotypicals are so fake, dishonest and vague. This makes communicating with Autism exhausting because we rely on detailed, specific and articulate infornation as well as honesty.

      I agree with you, Ms/Mrs
Sarah. These companies and corporations are very prejudice and do discriminated against the disabled without no compassion 😭😢 I didn't asked to be born with a disability and always hate myself for it

I've also been let go on many occasions because "I wasn't the right fit". In other words because they couldn't be bothered to get to know me and didn't want to make adjustments when asked.
I'm penalised for asking for help but also penalised for not mentioning my autism.

I'm a caregiver, and I had one woman ask me how old she was ( I was pushing her wheelchair). She was sitting right there. It reminded me of someone asking about my dog. And then she just hugged her without asking.

Ik how u feel i have a bone disability which is obvious mostly I'm my curled fingers and odd walk and ppl are always like AW it must be hard, I'll pray for u and do u want me to write for you and I'm like NO but also I tend to hide it when making friends but I can't use stairs well so I use lifts and I always get comments like lifts are for wheelchairs stop being lazy and I try to explain but when the other students forced me to use stairs they would laugh at my struggle and yeah it can be a kick in the box

not just people are born with a disability. Anybody could develop a mental or physical disability it just pisses me off that people discriminate against people with disabilities, but it can happen to them as well too and Karma is a bitch to the disability discrimators.

Hi Actually there’s a very good chance anyone of us will become disabled in our lifetime and even in a wheelchair….Currently approximately 20 to 26% chance of a simple concussion and developing Adult Chronic Brain Disease/Disorders/Disability/Child TBI/Hunger game type futures up 80% in less than 3 decades, come see.

karma is the action, so it will always have its effects... just may take a very long time, if they are not intelligent enough to question themselves! Pain is inevitable to learning...

I'm high functioning on autism with a mental retardation, and I happen just to get so much obsessively attention towards like just by asking me dumb questions as fan of mine! My friends are often jealous of me due to every stupid accomanation I'm getting. 👎
