Quick update, I have been using my N22 for nine months now and it still runs just fine. I use it for RUclips, Google Hangouts, Gmail, Facebook, ebay, etc. and it is still speedy. My cat even knocked it off the counter top, it fell 3 feet and hit the kitchen floor and it has shown now signs of damage.
Jesse Afolabi Looks like I may have been mistaken, it is an eMMC type of storage unit. I'm guessing that because it is eMMC that it is soldered to the mother board and can't be removed.
Great video! Very detailed and helpful. I ordered mine recently same 4GB. I heard chromebooks will get Android soon and be able to use most apps. Know any dates about that? Have you tried HDMI to TV and say stream 720p to a 40 inch TV?
You can run the Google play store on it which gives you access to the Chromebook Compatible apps that you have you have on your phone, so long as you use the same Chromebook login that you with your phone.
As for running a straight up Android OS, I'm not sure exactly when that change will come through but I'm surprised that it hasn't already happened. I haven't tried the HDMI out on this particular model but I have on my Toshiba Chromebook 2 and my Asus C300 Chromebooks and it runs just fine to the TV at 720p. With my 60 mbps connection speed, 720p is not an issue.
The keyboard isn't bad and you get used to it after a while. I own two other Chromebooks and they all tend to have shallow keystrokes with some keyboard flex while you are typing on it. Oh, and as for the old Powerbooks, I have yet to find any newer computer with a keyboard that matches the sheer comfort of typing on my G3 Powerbook (Lombard/Bronze keyboard model)!
MGD No. I had not taken this machine apart so I didn't know there was one inside. It is also not advertised on the specifications. I also did not realize that it had that slot until Lon Seidman showed it in his recent review of the N22.
I have the refibished Lenovo Chromebook of this and i want t reset it and hack it so that its a windows 10,could you help me with that please?also nice video
Krystal FairyFriend I wish I could help you but I've only hacked or rooted one device in my life (a cheap tablet that I wanted to use with a different operating system). As for Chromebooks, I wish I could help you but I don't know where to start.
Commandos12 The architecture is definitely there so I would answer that question with yes. Ive never installed Linux or any of its variants on a Chromebook but I'm sure you could at least create a bootable from memory card/flash drive partition that would run Linux.
I would take this over the Stream any day. Build quality is much sturdier and performance is on par if not better than the Stream 11. I researched the heck out of these smaller Chromebooks before I decided to buy one and settled on the N22 after I got to test one at an electronics trade show.
Miguel sachez dominguez No. I don't think the video processing is powerful enough. It can run some games through the Google Play store but it is a bit limited for gaming.
It's possible if you use crouton to run Linux, then find out how to run .exe files on it, but I won't recommend it as it can barely run Happy Wheels at minimum settings.

just ordered mine. after watching this detailed review. Thank you it was very helpful.
Steve Quintana I still use mine daily. They are very good Chromebooks!
Thanks! I was torn between this model and another and after watching your review this is a great machine for the $$.
Glad to help! I still use mine on a daily basis and it runs well!
My mom ordered one for me! I can't wait!
Tiana and Cierra Lynn I've had mine for almost a year and it works great!
travisp11 Thanks for replying! I'm ordering a case/sleeve right now!
Cool!
Octane score for this device is around 7200. The battery may be a 35 watt version instead of 45 watts but I get around 9 hours of daily use out of it.
Hi, pretty good review, but are you sure it's SSD and not eMMC? can it be replaced?
Jesse Afolabi Looks like I may have been mistaken, it is an eMMC type of storage unit. I'm guessing that because it is eMMC that it is soldered to the mother board and can't be removed.
Jesse Afolabi If I said SSD that would be my fault. I was reading the specs off of Amazon so I may have not been paying attention.
travisp11 that's fine....i later figured that it must have been a mistake..
Jesse Afolabi I will get in the editor In a bit and will change the title, too.
travisp11 ok cool...

Thanks for the build quality comparison to the Asus (and old Powerbooks). How's typing? (Keyboard)

Excellent review! Thank you. Can you install Microsoft Office on this machine?
No but you may be able to run Office 365 through it while working online.
Great video! I just bought one of these and was wondering is the ram is expandable?
Nope.
No chromebooks have the ram upgradeable
Great review, I bought it :)
Awesome!
how's the webcam? Could it work well in making youtube videos like these?
It works alright. Not the best resolution. Just be sure that you have good lighting on you while using the camera, especially for podcasts.
can you upgrade the eMMC storage to something bigger? Like a 128 maybe?
sophie092249 no but you can use an SD card for more storage
you forget to mention that this machine has a m2 slot for more storage
MGD No. I had not taken this machine apart so I didn't know there was one inside. It is also not advertised on the specifications. I also did not realize that it had that slot until Lon Seidman showed it in his recent review of the N22.
its freaking September 3rd and its on amazon UK for £100 / $115 (ish that's a guess)
For the 4gb RAM N22? That is a great price! Amazon in the USA was $175 last time I checked.
this is the 2gb model, with 32gb SSD. I got mine a few days ago. It's great!
is the screen glossy?
Vanda Kolesnikova No. It has a non-reflective matte finish.
it's got more sd card slots and USB 3 slots than the new mac book.
I have one and my problem is the harddrive does not have enough room for an op system update. Can the storage be increased
Renard Prather try moving any documents, music and photos to an SD card or to your Google drive account and then delete them from the Chromebook.
I found a video that shows me how to add an m2 ssd and increase my storage. Just reserved a 128g m2 ssd and will let you know how it works
Renard Prather Right on! I wasn't sure if the SSD could be removed. Sounds good!
travisp11 i won't be removing the original, it has a slot for an additional harddrive.
Renard Prather Ahh! Ok! Good to know!
Is it can upgrade ssd m2 bro?
I don’t know as I don’t usually upgrade my Chromebooks.
I bought one like this today... but i have a huge issue ...windows is installing but gosh it is 3hrs and still in 18% is that okay?
Josselyn Diaz That sounds a bit excessive. I’ve never installed Windows on a machine set up for Chrome so I wish I had a better answer for ya.
travisp11 thanks anyway but i kinda think is because of the wifo conection jijiji
Josselyn Diaz That is a possibility. Are you running updates? Or just straight up installing via a flash drive or wifi?
travisp11 it was the first time because i just bought it. So it took a lot, but i think it was because of the wifi 😥😥
Josselyn Diaz yeah, it probably had some large updates to download. Takes forever.
yo can i, or can we buy emmc 64GB and change that 16 or 32gb?
Charsgil Sandoval it depends if the emmc is soldered to the motherboard. If it is then you probably won't be able to change it or easily swap it out.
I have the refibished Lenovo Chromebook of this and i want t reset it and hack it so that its a windows 10,could you help me with that please?also nice video

Is it a touch screen?
James Hamilton No. There may have been a touch option back then by my N22 does not have a touch screen.
if only I could get this in The Netherlands.... chromebook start here at 250 euro...
and Yes I could order it from Amazon or eBay but with over 50 euro or More on shipment....
Im bout to stickerbomb mine
Same here!
can u install linux on this :o?
Commandos12 The architecture is definitely there so I would answer that question with yes. Ive never installed Linux or any of its variants on a Chromebook but I'm sure you could at least create a bootable from memory card/flash drive partition that would run Linux.
Does this run on Intel or Arm?
It has an Intel N3050 Dual Core Celeron processor.
This or the hp stream 11
I would take this over the Stream any day. Build quality is much sturdier and performance is on par if not better than the Stream 11. I researched the heck out of these smaller Chromebooks before I decided to buy one and settled on the N22 after I got to test one at an electronics trade show.
is it run pubg mobile???
Taha Tanveer I don’t think so.
this or the acer Chromebook 11
Gabriel B. the Lenovo n22
N22, or N23. Definitely more durable.
hi this computer run gta v?
Miguel sachez dominguez No. I don't think the video processing is powerful enough. It can run some games through the Google Play store but it is a bit limited for gaming.
Can I play tf2 on thia
This*
Pinhead larry no u cant
