My favorite part by far is the morning binder and the book of the week. I was trying to find a gentle way to introduce letter recognition to my 3 year old. He’s eating it all up ❤he saw big brothers binder had upper case and lower case and felt left out so we started giving him the upper and lowercase for his play dough. The write it find it is working out so well. He isn’t writing yet but definitely can recognize the letter so he’ll mark it with his marker. Looking back I should have gotten the printed version. Next year!
Erin, I downloaded the teachers guide like a year ago and loved it since. I recently bought the digital version and cant wait to start on January with my 2 and 4 years old!! Greetings from Michoacán, México!
This is just such a beautiful program. I’ve seen it from several RUclipsrs and have been very intrigued. I definitely plan to use it when my littles are a little older. My son just turned two and I have a newborn arriving soon. 😊 I need to look at your older kid levels for my daughter.
My almost 3yo is way ahead. He knows all his letters, letter sounds, shapes, colors, and can count to 50. I love the idea of this but I’m scared he will be so bored. Should I start him in kindergarten? Scared to jump ahead too 😩
Did you watch this fully and read the parent guide? This isn’t focusing on ABC’s and 123’s. This is more of a morning basket virtue based program. I’d suggest hanging out in some homeschool vlogs and seeing how they implement the program. For example, you may use this in conjunction with another curriculum that is teaching phonics, etc…3 years old is not typically when homeschool parents begin formal instruction. If you like gentle and classical, you may benefit from reading some of Charlotte masons books or looking into her philosophy. She doesn’t suggest formal education until at least age 6. Hope this helps. I’m just another homeschool mom ❤
We offer a separate program called Gentle + Classical Primer for kindergarten. It covers the same subjects and has the same values behind it. Though we will honestly say, and so will many other people that have used preschool, that if you've not used a gentle, classical program, it's a wonderful idea to start with preschool even in kindergarten. It has a lot of meat to it, so your child won't be bored. And for kindergarten you would just add formal reading instruction and formal math instruction alongside it. And it would make for a really sweet day. But if you're interested in our primer which is kindergarten or first grade, you can find it here, shopgentleclassical.com/collections/preschool-level-2/products/gentle-classical-primer-bundle-1
Hi I have a question about this for my 2 younger children; one will be 5 in September (not sure if I should do preK or kinder for her) and the other is going into first and knows how to read fairly well, and I’m struggling on deciding what to use. Where can I email you?
@@mirshaetiennealexandre8628 I'm sorry I'm just seeing this! We'd love to help! Email erin@lifeabundantlyblog.com and Whitney (our curriculum advisor) can help you make a decision ♥️
