- Here is my Loc Bob using pipe cleaners. On this video I'm providing a step-by-step instructional on how to create this look.

That is RIDICULOUSLY creative. No one would ever suspect that your hair is as long as it is with that style. And I love it because it gives you the illusion of a look without actually having to chop your hair. Cuz as people with locks know, we don't have clip in pieces to give us length (not that I'm aware of), so when we cut out hair, we can't run down to Mei Ling's 5 & dime, Chinese Food & Hair Emporium & by us some extensions so our hair can be long again for the club on Friday & It's Tues. We just have to wait for it to grow out naturally. So anyway we can cheat without damaging our hair is great. I was going through a period about a month ago where I really wanted to cut my locks & I kept teetering back & forth because it took me 6 1/2 yrs. of struggle go again my current length, & I know how quick I am to change my mind. Plus, I work out a lot, & it's hard to put locks up & out of your face when they're super short; not to mention you have to resist them more often, the shorter they are. Ultimately I decided to just get a trim & even out my layers. And even though I ain't got the patience (& maybe skill) do to what you demonstrated in this video, it's cool to see what can be a accomplished. If I were a celebrity, I'd make you my personal hairstylist just based off of what I've seen you demonstrate in this video. I also love how smooth and uniform hour dreads are from root to tip. This is my 5th set of dreads in about 14yrs--- the longest set I've ever had--- & I still not have found a way to get mine to have that smooth, polished look; they always look somewhat fuzzy. Even when freshly done. But anyway . . . great job.

I've always installed my pipe cleaners upside down. it makes so much since and it so much more comfortable. The only thing I don't like is sleeping with pipe cleaners in it is very comfortable.

Real nice job. I was going to shampoo my yarn wrap tonight (my bedtime, additionally need to wake up early, writing a book). So... I thought I would shampoo my hair and put pipe cleaner on for a couple days. With the way you're doing it, it's a style. Girl, once you put that makeup on, it really brought everything together. Very nicely done. It takes me five hours to put one lock at as time on my pipe cleaners, so I know it takes you a lot longer and your hair is longer than mine. My locs are just about to my butt. Great job! Work it girl. I might try this.

I saw your pipe cleaner loc style and it took a very long time but it went well in an interview and I got plenty of positive compliments. The people could not tell I had loc style hair.
