Thank you very much for your time, you've sold me cos I was on the fence
You're welcome, thanks for watching.
One of the most helpful videos i have ever seen. I was worried about what aio i should get but now im sure that i will buy this. Keep up the good work goat 💯💯.
Thank you for the kind words, glad I could help!
Best review of this Ryujin III! Thnx!!!
Thanks, you're welcome!
I am currently using version 2, and it's so nice, I'm thinking about getting version 3. Nice video 👍 thanks
Personally if the temps are fine I'd stick with what you have, that's already an amazing cooler. Thank you.
😬 It's for my new computer. Version 2 will stay with my old computer
Alright baller 😋
@@anbuzero367 My Ryujin II broke in only 10 months... and they won't warranty it unless I ship it to China out of my own pocket.

Cracking review of this product. Many thanks.
Thank you for the kind words! You're welcome.
Great video thank you for the infos really helped me!! By chance do you know the resolution of the display? I heard 2k frames but Im not quite sure if its actually the resolution.. Would be cool to know
You're welcome, glad it helped. It's not actually specified, just "3.5" LCD", I wanted to know too to be more specific, but that's all I could find.
Hello!,really really nice presentation, but i am wondering, which one to buy...the one with the noctua fans or the ARGB ROG one ? do the cool the cpu the same and just the noise is different ?
Thank you. The Noctua one might be 1-2 degrees cooler and a little quieter, but otherwise they're pretty much the same.
@@jordanash cheers mate, keep up the good work and i wish you a good and easy week :)
Thank you, will do. You too :)
Hey Question I ordered the i9 13900k with the Asus rog Ryujin II cooler they did not have III sadly do you think in terms of cooling they're kinda the same or is the III a lot better?
The second is a 7th gen pump over the 8th on the third, plus the third has a thicker rad. Temps seem to be about 7-8 degrees cooler on the new model. The second-gen should be fine with the 13900k though.
I’m new to pc building but I got a Msi Z790 Ace motherboard. Will the Ryujin III display work with it? Will the display work with MSI Center and will the RGB work with Msi Center?
It's using it's own software to control it, Armory crate that I'm showing in the video
So this thing already has a pump? Im confused and building my first water cooled PC and trying to make sure i dont need a reservoir or anything extra if im going to have this as my cpu cooler? I also want to cool my gpu by water as well so is this good for the set up i have in mind.
Yes, it's an all-in-one (AIO), so you don't need anything else. If you want to water cool, using parts like a reservoir would be a "custom loop" 😊
Hi, great video. I have the same issue. Fans are stuck at +3000RPM and I can't lower them down on Armour Crate. I tried some stuff in the bios aswell but nothing works. Can you tell me what you did in the Bios to control the RPMs? Just put together my 1st build and I am desperate at this point... Thank you in advance
I used Q-fan control in the bios. Here's a guide on setting them - I used manual though, but you can try different things - ruclips.net/video/65vsrzYOLZg/видео.html
hi thanks for this video. Armoury crate is not detecting my Ryujin device in the software so I cant change any of the settings. do you have any tips on how to fix this? I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Armoury Crate and power cycling the whole system and AIO but nothing has fixed the issue. very frustrating for such an expensive component
Is the USB header cable connected okay? Could you try another header too, sometimes I've had AIOs not like specific ones.
@@jordanash appreciate the response. I decided to completely uninstall Armoury crate and use Aida 64 to control the screen going forward. I am able to use aida64 with the Ryujin fine (for now) so it looks like the issue is with Armoury crate only.
No worries, that's very weird though
oh i love my 360.. i dont care if the pumps a little audible as they are supposed to be and the lcd screen is lovely!
Good good!
i'm hesitating to buy it with the lian li ga 2 lcd inf for my 7950X3D hhhhh , what do you think about the ga 2?
Looks good but I've yet to use one myself, trying to get one at the minute.
very cool, I want to buy one of these, very cool💪👍
NIce, isn't it. Expensive though 😅
Which version do you think performs better, the RGB or Noctua version? I hear the fan speeds are little different.
On paper I'd say the Noctua, just as they specialise in fans where as Asus' do multiple things. I expect they'd perform slightly better at the same rpm too, so they could run quieter for the same temps.
@@jordanash Thanks man. Looking at one of these for a 14900k Z790 Pro Art fractal Torrent build here. The LF3 seems to be somewhat of a letdown with their contact frame from what I've seen so far.
Maybe I should just wait for the Pro Art LC420 to be dropped and reviewed..
Decisions decisions.
If you don't need a screen, I'd get the EK Nucleus 360, that's an eight gen pump like this, performs like a beast plus is so much cheaper
i have this AIO on 5 or 6 different rigs and love it on each and everyone, I use to replace the fans but with the new magnetic fans it has me trying to find more fans with no luck.
Why so many PCs? 🤔
@@jordanash lol that's like £2000+ of AIO's
Exactly 😂
It's my hobby. I enjoy building them.
So do you build them to sell?
That’s so much for a cooler in your area. insane how you can get it currently in the US for 339usd with the 3.5” lcd.
That was the launch price, and don't forget this video is seven months old too
Hello. Will this system fit into the Asus ROG Strix Helios GX601 case, under the top panel? The specification of the case states that the maximum length is 360, and this dropsy seems to have 360, but in the parameters the length of the radiator is 399.5. A bit unclear.
They word what it can accommodate a bit odd, by 360 it means a 360mm radiator/AIO without taking into account the true measurements. It should fit fine without issue.
Thank you very much@@jordanash
No problem
That's good to hear because I have the same case and I felt like they had the dimensions posted all wonky
Yeah, it's a bit odd really
I also have a ASUS RYUI III ARGB but my display is circular as opposed to your square based one, is there a difference in models? I do prefer the circular one mind. Cheers.
I think you have the RYUO, over this RYUJIN.
@jordanash you know what I didn't even realise the name difference lol, they're just the same but different shapes then?
Lots of differences between them. This has magnetic fans, thicker radiator and a different style screen.
In your opinion is it better than the Corsair iCUE H150i ELITE LCD XT?
Yes, performance alone is a lot better. Downside is that this costs a lot more.
Can you buy the FANs to put them in the chasis so they are the same standalone? i tried to find MF Fans but couldnt find something.
Unfortunately they're not available separately yet. Bit of a miss from Asus not having them available at the same time
@@jordanash megafail… also i am unable to buy it in europe in white… cant find it
Ah that sucks, I think Scan have the white one but that's the UK
@@jordanash i ll still buy if they ship and got warranty
Ah it's a pre order, that's why it's not easy to find
hi would you recommend this one over the Lian Li Galahad II LCD for the ryzen 9 7950x3D ? thank you!
Hey. I've not tried that, but as far as I know, it uses the same pump block so temps would be close between them.

Amazing Video, So you would say there's no need to add thermal paste since it has pre-applied on already?
Thank you! No need at all on the first instalation.
what do u think is better this or the nzxt kraken elite 360. what's better which one do u recommend
This is better thermally as I covered, the thicker rad and 8th gen pump make a lot of difference, but it's a lot more expensive. Kraken has a better value for money offering I think.
@@jordanash Thanks for replying!!
another question sry would u recommend the nzxt kraken elite 360 or the kraken z73, x73?
@@jordanash you think in terms of performance and cooling the Asus ryujin 3 360 is the best cooler in 2023?
I've got the EK Nucleus to test which is also 8th Gen, but if you want a screen then this is the best on paper.
Pc noob here, just ordered a rog strix RTX4090 with the 7950X3D and this cooler. I also ordered thermal paste, looks like I don’t need the paste since it already comes pre applied?
Yep that's right, handy to have if you need to reapply in a few years though (it can get a bit crusty after multiple years and temps might rise)

Good day - can I use this cooling system for SWRX8 socket ? With AMD Ryzen™ Threadripper™ PRO 5975WX, 32-core?
It doesn't come with the mount for thread ripper, no. ™
@@jordanash thank you for your answer Jordan! If you know - is it possible to buy this mount separately.
Not that I know of. I'm not sure if it's possible, as the previous gen had a rotatable mount but this one is different. It might be something they offer later on.
@@jordanash thank you very much for such a quick reply. I found a mount in a box with CPU- Will try to compose a custom mount from one that CPU Had and one that Cooling Has on it. Will see - if it will work. Thank you very much for your reply and best luck!
Fingers crossed for you! No problem
Have you used OCCT for stress test?
I used Cinebench as I mentioned
I recently had an upgrade to 14900KF, my Coolermaster ML360R AIO which I used on my old 10900k can't handle it at all, it's going up to 100 degrees the second I click stress test on default frequencies, I ordered the white version of Ryujin III and hope it can cool well enough.
The 14900k is super hot, but runs at that temp without problem, so don't worry in the meantime.
I'm not worried about it burning, but it does throttle and affects performance, so I think a better cooler would help@@jordanash
Yeah of course it will help, also day to day use will he lower than stress tests anyway.
I just thought I'd say as some people worry about that high temp, I didn't know if you knew or not 🤷♂️
@@jordanash I knew it but thanks for the information anyways! Daily use will be lower than stress test but it’s still hitting 80+ on normal gaming and even higher in certain conditions, I’m in NZ so room temp is hot here atm.
At least it's not 100 all the time I guess 😅 Hopefully you'll see a nice drop with the new one.
Is the cpu temp accurate? I was comparing with two other programs it was reading different but they other two were almost identical lol
If I recall, mine read accurate but with about a second delay. What difference does yours show?
@@jordanashso mine was around 33 like yours but nzxt cam and core temps were saying like 40-44
I wouldn't use NZXT cam for an accurate reading, use HW Info
@@jordanash okay I will try hw. Would you trust core temp?
Yeah should be fine. Might sound silly but are you sure you're looking at the *exact* same reading between pieces of software?
I am going for 14900K cpu. Should I go for this AIO? I am gonna play games at 4k and also gonna edit videos at 4k
Yep!
Would it be a bad idea for me to get an Asus CPU cooler with a Gigabyte motherboard? I heard some things might be locked to Asus motherboards
No, not at all. Armoury crate can be a bit hit or miss, but the motherboard it's used on shouldn't matter.

ROG tax 😉
It's good to see it in stock at MicroCenter too for $350
Ah nice
$329 USD now
Which one is better on performance the rayijun lll or the ek nucleus ?
I'll be able to tell you accurately soon as I now have one to review. Spec wise the rad on this is *slightly* thicker which on paper should mean more cooling potential, but I won't know for sure until I get it on the test rig.
@@jordanash ok I'm looking forward to your test because I'm looking for watercooling for my 7950x3d
Shouldn't be too long now, it's in the queue. Oh nice!
Would you say this is better then the H170i Link?
The thicker rad and 8th Gen make a lot of difference, look at the H170i in the charts
with this cooler i get 70c degree celcius in games with 20-25 % cpu load i9 14900k is it ok ? how to fix ?

Thank you for your answer, I will order in the coming weeks and then I will write to you how it went.
No problem. Okay 😊
How does it compare to the kraken elite 360 ?
Much cooler with the slightly thicker rad and 8th gen pump over thinner rad and 7th gen pump on the elite.
@@jordanashyah I just noticed that the kraken is 7th gen and this is 8 was going to delete comment but man your fast 😂
@@jordanashwell I bought the elite and I don’t think I will have high thermals with the I913900K so I don’t think I need to upgrade mine , but I might OC so should I get it ?
I don’t think it will make a huge difference
Hmm, I was going to say if you're not overclocking then stick with the elite, but on the other hand an OC might be the same kind of volts as boards can put more through more volts than it needs anyway. Also depends what you're doing with the CPU, I used Cinebench which is arfificial dso it may run cooler anyway, hard to say without testing it to be honest.
Why do many people say that Armory Crete is very bad, and others say that it is good? I have not downloaded it yet and I do not own anything related to Asus, but I am confused about this issue. I am planning to buy the Asus Ryujin III 240🤔
You'll see when you use it, it's very buggy. Also I'd get the 360mm if you have space, the extra price is worth the lower temps and noise, the fans won't need to spin as much to cool to the same level.
@@jordanash I WILL TAKE I5 14600 NON K SO THE 360 MM IS overkill

Nex tech step is to add Gifs to the spinning fans . I should work for Asus creative department 😂
Lian Li have just brought out fans with screens on.
First time i've actually seen Armoury Crate working as it's supposed to lmao. Sad that they have to ruin their hardware by giving it that TERRIBLE piece of software

My friend has been using it for more than a year and he never had any problems, maybe he was lucky or this problems are not that frequent?
@@thelukygamer17 Might've just been lucky honestly lol I see so many people trash-talking it, me included. When it works, it's a great piece of software, but it's ruined by the fact that it nearly never works
@@marcusthegamer348 I’m gonna verify that myself really soon since I’ve ordered the components for a pc and I’m just waiting for them to arrive

I heard it has the same performance as the last gen, but I really want a functioning lcd screen.
I'd recommend checking that with some other trusted review sites because I've seen nothing but better performance.
This is a Gen 8 pump and thicker rad, and as I said in the conclusion it kept the i9 in my test rig a *LOT* cooler that even a 420mm AIO
@@jordanash There's plenty of better performing aios for half the price but I'm still getting the Ryujin 3 because I'm kind of the fan boy. If those are idle temps for the 8th gen then it already seems like it's lacking especially for that price.
The idle temps in the video are just after tests being ran, so don't take them as usual idles. The ones on the screen in the conclusion are more realistic
@jordanash it should be better with a cpu contact frame, I hear it helps alot.
They can help, but I don't think the majority of people, especially new builders will want to take a motherboard socket apart to install one. Either way this gives great temps even with the crazy voltage spikes some motherboards give to CPUs
This or lian li galahad II lcd 360?

Why didn't you talk about the AIDA 64 integration, or the fact that all these mo ths later things still dont work, water flow information, for example? They still list it as being able "instantly" display that information, but it can't. It also can't display the AIDA 64 information in portrait mode.
I'm sure I filmed part about Aida. There's so much to do and remember, maybe I accidentally cut it out.
Unfortunately, it's hard to talk about things that are not fixed now when I was one of the first to upload a review on the product almost eleven months ago.
I love the Ryujin AIOs but I have heard and seen (users uploading pics of what AC is doing to their system) plenty of serious horror stories with Armory Crate on desktop. Pure bloatware, messing with other system processes, people have even had a hard time uninstalling the software also...sometimes to the point of having to reinstall Windows just to clean everything out. Thats what made me stay away from the Ryujin. If there was someway i could customize without having to use AC or if Asus actually fix the software I would buy one.
Armoury crate is certainly a pinch point for the user experience. From what I've tried it either works well or not at all, there's no real middle ground. Hopefully they'll put more work into it before the next launch.
Quite a lot of money for what can also be achieved with a $30 aftermarket display.
The 8th gen pump, magnetic fans and thicker radiator all add cost
Got the Ryujin 2, it was ok but the armory crate is shit! This new ryujin 3 400 pounds is well over priced LOL. Staying away from ASUS. Went for MSI. Using the MSI 360 Coreliquid aio with LCD screen :)
As I said it is a very specific target audience, but there are a lot of features that drive up the cost. ASUS does lots of good products, I don't think just the price of this is a reason to stay away. Take care of that AIO, that one has had *hundreds* of RMAs for suddenly failing, plus MSI has been awful with sorting it and a lot haven't been replaced.
Bit extreme 😂😂 they're amazing imo. Money obviously is a factor for many but if y can afford it and know what you're doing, it's great.
I bought one, and I am VERY disappointed that for the price you pay there should be LOTS and LOTS more hardware monitoring, there should be 1000’s of options available. Yes you do get a 1 year AIDA64 licence but Armoury Crate where you can create your own panel, but you cannot import it to Armoury Crate, there is simply no option to do so....... There are NO options and or NO tutorials to add new HW monitoring..... VERY disappointing..... 😡😒
Ah that sucks, hopefully they can do a firmware update for that. There was a few things they didn't think about when it launched.
What is the AIDA64 license for? Is that required to use the features shown in this video for changing your screen to display the preprogrammed options for the Hardware Monitor and Custom Slideshow?
@@cmdrbillpaxton4302 AIDA64 is a creation tool where you can create monitor templates, for your display, EXCEPT FOR THE RYUJIN III DISPLAY.... You can use the software for 1 year and that's it. You can create your own display HW monitor with AIDA64, the Ryujin is detected, but YOU CANNOT IMPLEMENT YOUR CREATED DISPLAY INTO ARMOURY CRATE. The Ryujin is connected to a USB port, BUT the Ryujin has NO stand-alone software for the display. It all runs over Armoury Crate, which Does NOT have the option to implement your created active Template/HW monitor to the Ryujin. So that basically means you have to live with what Armoury Crate offers.... and that's almost NOTHING for the price tag of almost $400 bucks. To get your own custom HW monitor display on the Ryujin display, you will have to use a some kind of other display monitor software. I do not know which one because I did not what to download and install some weird software for my $400 hardware....
I've been trying to get them to actually bring the monitoring they list to the device, flow rates, for example. They're still advertising that it can display this information and it can not. I'm surprised they haven't been sued yet.
Still, all these months later, there are relatively few reviews. I suspect they know this is garbage and didn't send units out for review because of it.
