    Good video but man you make that extractor look difficult lol....its actually very easy with proper technique. get your extractor in place then push plunger down and get extractor partially pushed in. Then push down safety block and snap extractor in place all the way until plunger pops into its hole. Hard to type instructions for it but basically you dont need to push safety block and plunger down at same time while you try to push in extractor...that would take 3 hands as you noted. You can push plunger down, get extractor in part way to where it will stay without holding it, then push down safety block and snap extractor the rest of the way in....if that makes sense. Not knocking your technique, just trying to be helpful. The ppq or in my case, Q4 sf is one of the easiest pistols I have to completely disassemble.

    Great video, helped alot. My only issue was that little spring and getting it back in place. I didn't have a slave pin so after a few hours of almost to the point of going insane. I actually used a piece of sewing thread. Fed it through the spring and it held it in place perfect.

    Good video! When I took my extractor out I launched that detent across the room 🤣. Just got a Q5 Match the other day, it was a used trade in at my local gun store but it was incredibly dirty. After cleaning it the trigger was very heavy and gritty. I cleaned the striker and striker channel and sprayed brake cleaner all over the internals then wiped it down with alcohol so it was bone dry. All the crud is gone but the trigger just feels heavy and staging just as it’s contacting the firing pin block on the rail. Smooth take up again after cleaning but it’s a little heavy yet and staging feel just before the break. Any ideas? Do I just need to lube it some more?

      Make sure all the springs are in correctly and not binding anywhere

    Just changed the trigger on my Q5 SF PRO with the Walther Dynamic Trigger. I’ve never had any light primer strikes until doing that. Had probably 8 out of 160 rounds. What would you suggest?

    Thanks for a great video - liked and subscribed! I would like to do a complete disassembly in order to clean everything after putting more than 5K rounds through my PPQ. Question: when you reassemble do all the parts need to be perfectly dry or you should apply a little bit of lubrication? Thank you in advance.

    If I have seen that trigger option, it has more finger support surface, but it does not solve the trigger weight of 2.5 Kg.
    Replacing the trigger recovery spring, the original one with 1.5 kg, which I have already replaced, I thought I would lower the trigger weight to 1.5 kg, but I have not noticed the difference in trigger weight, only in the trip before the shot.
    I do not speak English, it may not be well understood.

    Great video...thanks so much! These are the best how-to gun videos I've seen so far. I just wish it was this easy for me! :-) Keep up the good work!

    How about a disassembly of the PPQ Sub Compact slide.

    • @TheGunBench
      @TheGunBench  4 года назад

      Should be the same disassembly as this minus the optic plates

    • @edwardkawecki8101
      @edwardkawecki8101 3 года назад

      Sub compact has a totally different stricker. SC has a dual spring module. It is best to replace it as an assembly. If you want to see a very detailed and much more complete take down go to the Walther site. They have a series of about 8 YTvideos.

    My friend reassembled her q5 but she’s got a dead trigger. Any idea what she might’ve missed?

    • @TheGunBench
      @TheGunBench  3 года назад +1

      Either the sear isn’t back in right or the trigger bar isn’t in the right position, easier to start with the trigger bar. Should be able to take the rear pin out and lift up the housing and make sure the trigger bar is in properly.

    • @1214mpickett

      @@TheGunBench So I believe she had so much trouble with the rear pin, she never removed the trigger group. Thanks for the reply.

    Goodnight:
    Does anyone know how to reduce the weight of the trigger of the Walther PQ5 Match, from 2.5 Kg, to 1.00 Kg?
    I already replaced the spring that performs the recovery of the trigger, that first displacement has decreased the weight, but the shot continues to be 2.5 kg.
    Thanks to who gives an answer.

      Unfortunately there’s not a ton of aftermarket options for the Q5, you can look into an apex trigger, from what I hear it makes the trigger pull loads better

    • @EstorilEm
      @EstorilEm 4 года назад +1

      Ugh screw that, the trigger is already one of the best - I've put a ton of rounds through mine and every now and then if you're not 110% focused you'll get an early shot. More my fault than anything, but NOTHING I've ever experienced on a pistol before. DAMN I love the PPQ match / polymer. Some day I'll save up the $$$ for the SF.

    • @TheGunBench
      @TheGunBench  4 года назад

      Just make sure you aren’t blocking it from moving from the other side, and knock it out from the right side. It shouldn’t be very hard

    • @TheGunBench

      No you can just use tooth brushes and qtips to clean and get in harder to reach areas
