I love seeing Rowan McDonnell instruct Jack Williams, who is well known to be one of the best throwers if not the best in the AUDL

I think 9 times out of 10 I will stick to my lefty but still a stellar video

I will use the lefty a bit as well, depending on the distance and mostly where the mark is! thanks for checking it out!

I use the full flick n' go motion for middle to long range shots, gets me a lot of separation as people don't expect a thrower to start sprinting after throwing longer distance forehand - I consider it pretty useful
I remember a situation from this year's u24 worlds final when the same throw was used by the Belgian side, if I find the exact timestamp I'll drop it here

nice video. Audio is kind of low, I'm at full volume and it's tough to hear Rowan, can't really hear Jack

I'm currently learning the Chicken Wing and go, but can't seem to find any good examples of the Chicken Wing ;)

why not just throw a lefty and go

    • @RowanMcDonnell

Grip change, mechanics, distance all suffer

@@RowanMcDonnell so good. That release point is farther out (fewer point blocks as Jack notes).
Dropping to one finger changes the release angle to make that oi best option. Kind of the opposite of adding 3rd or even 4th finger to flick. The latter being hilarious if you can get behind the back of the defender because it goes so far left.

You guys got me out throwing for the first time in way too long. So of course I'm opening with trying to throw and go forehand. And push passes.
My daughter enjoys my failures, so we both had fun.
