I got to the ‘mother’ chapter on death stranding and then realised I had to keep going online to help me remember the story everytime I played it . Left it after that
Never even heard of the Space Jam game - love the sprites though, looks stunning! You need to get an old school wrestling figure from back in the day to go in that collectors edition ring, what a fun little thing. I’d be tempted to keep the Goku statue out - looks so good!
TL;DR: You made the the right move on Death Stranding, and I say that as someone who loved it. Yea some really cool tools come in later but I feel like you already described / experienced the core of the gameplay style. If it didn’t hook you after 5 hours, you’re not likely to like it any more later. In case you’re curious why I liked it, so you can confirm that you’re not missing out. I LOVED those complex UI screens. I loved the walking and delivery, the absence of meaningful combat. It’s a literal walking simulator. The story goes completely off the rails to be honest and I was so fucking confused I forgot it the moment I finished it. Great vlog!

But when you're an adult game time is limited and if a game doesn't grab me in the first hour or so then I've not got the time to stick with it when there's so many more games out there Ps. The use of space on this weeks game room tour was ingenious. Its given me a few ideas for my own set up!
You nailed an issue I have with many modern titles. I shouldn’t have to play 12-15 hours for it to get good. A game should grip you almost instantly. It’s why I dropped Starfield, 13 hours into it and I was so bored.

I'm sure that Muti-Mega use to be mine as my box had a damaged sticker on the side like the one on the video I wonder if the bottom of the actual machine has pittin/bubbly of the paint as mine did?? I sold it way back in 2018 I think and if its found its forever home with Kevin thats good to know.

The original Sonic and Sega All Stars Racing game was the best in the series but microsoft just refuse to make it backwards compatible for some reason, There was also a great little RC game back in the day that i used to play on Dreamcast called Re-Volt, should give that a try if you are into those type of kart racing games.
My hometown! The store is awesome. I remember watching it being built as I worked up above the store. I visit a lot of cracking bunch of lads! I try not to go crazy every time I go in. The retro stock and the custom stuff are amazing. Retro all the way!
Death stranding....I got to a delivery drop off after carrying 100s things by foot past several mountains rivers and baddies, I got there and it said to go almost all the way around again. Similar route pissed me off and uninstalled it 😂 Had some interesting elements, nice visuals but gameplay is frustrating and not that fun
I picked up the same wwe special edition in CeX for the price of the standard game £1.50. Can’t wait to see the grail. The end of this video made me laugh you rushing out the door 😂

Answering Kev's questions about the pal Saturn games. First they got released on the half cardboard, half plastic cases that in my personal opinion they are a terrible design. They always tend to come off the plastic. They got them replaced with the second variant which is the full plastic ones, similar to DVD cases. But in my opinion they are way worse than the Japanese ones, especially with the golden spine cards. If you truly love that system is a no brainer going for the Japanese exclusives.

Space Jam on the PS1, can you get more Nineties than that? Not sure if it fits the All Killer rule gameplay wise but definitely a worthy addition, i loved it as a kid even though it was very bare bones and simplistic.

Death Stranding is one of my favourite games ever but you really have to stick with it through the first sections. It didn't click for me until much later in the game.
Love a retro shop visiting episode! That Goku statue is great. He's based on an already existing Banpresto model I got around a similar time this game probably came out! This one is lighter / more pale in tone for some reason... It's based on the Majin Buu saga Goku design. 😎 I'm not a fan of MK but that steelbook is one of the best I've seen 💪🔥 space jam is definitely a childhood movie highlight. Love it!
I loved Death stranding, put a 100 hours into it. I was addicted to doing runs, it opens up when you get the robot legs and vehicles. The menu system is awful though, can understand why the game is like marmite though
