Gene's not just a basic thumper either: he adds much to the riffs! And regardless of whatever else happened substance-wise: Gene and Peter Criss were one *hell* of a rhythm section!
Same for his playing ability - while lots of his licks are on the simple side - they also can be interesting. And he's always 'on' - rarely do you hear him play sloppily
I love kiss. My first musical love. One of my three favorite bands, along side Black Sabbath and rush. Never saw Rush, but lucky enough to see kiss and sabs.
im 62 seen kiss 3 times....im from the uk been a fan from buying alive I on its release.......its over boys when its time its time....hope you retire after this tour with youre dignity.....and still remain the hottest band in the world!........
It would nice if Ace could perform one last time with his band mates on the End of the Road Tour and give him the sendoff he deserves.. that's my hope.
What sets paul away from most is his non-chalant approach. Lyrics remain intact, but he changes his tone, also timing at times. Very good entertainer, as well as muscian. Halford has exact same natural approach, sence of humor not within a book within live performances. Paul is a natural within this catagory as well. Predictability creates un-attentiveness, stanley and halford are stellar",

Sorry but when they played the Brooklyn Bridge with Ace & Peter... That blew this shit away. This is half a band trying to relive it's glory days. The whole act just seems so phony and forced. Tommy still hasn't risen above the level of a stagehand/last minute fill-in. Watching him perform is like watching a car rust. Hell, that holds for the entire band at this point.
Which is exactly why, when tickets were announced for my hometown, I shrugged my shoulders and went “Meh”. I’ve seen them three times during their best years and several more times where the law of diminishing returns was clearly evident. I’d prefer to remember the REAL Kiss and not this version. All you’re paying for is an elaborate pyro display now. That’s not enough for me.
