As long as they don't implement offline gameplay it will still be a hard pass, no matter how much the game is fixed. It's good that they finally came to their senses, but offline is still the most requested feature.
Out of curiosity, are there any modern open-world driving games that you play? Forza Horizon, The Crew Motorfest, and CarX Street are online-only as well, so I'm guessing not those. I thought about looking into Need for Speed Heat, but it's just too cartoony for me.
@tenpoundburrito Forza Horizon isn't online only, I've got the whole series, from 1 to 5 and play all of them offline. Grid 2019 is offline. Ubisoft announced they will release an offline patch forMotorfest, if that ever happens I will get it. The only online game I do have is the Crew 2, it was a gift on the Xbox. It does need an internet connection, but still works without gamepass. It should get an offline mode too. CarX Street isn't on the Xbox yet, it's temping, but offline is a concern. The previous CarX game is still supported after 7 years, which is pretty good. I don't have it though. With TDUSC I'm very careful, KTRacing and Nacon aren't the best companies when it comes to support. If this game is abandoned within a year it wouldn't surprise me and if the servers close within 2-3 years, I would not be surprised either. I won't take a gamble with this game.
@@benjamina6915Really? Because I ended up getting a refund for Forza Horizon 3 back when I didn't have internet because it was online-only. When my internet is down, I get the same error from Forza Horizon 4 and 5. Maybe it's because I'm on PC?

for those people who just watched the new dev diary video from KT and Nacon for TDUSC, they said they postponed the Clans wars season to replace as a more TDU DNA-aligned season for season 3 to fix the game as it should be
Yes, they have mentioned that they want to implement ‘TDU features’. But what does that mean? It's far too vague for me. Nobody knows what the developers mean by TDU DNA. And I bet they don't even know themselves at the moment. So for my part, I'll wait and see what comes next and whether the developers have finally understood their assignment.
It has TDU 2 vibes again, real vibes, car sounds are the most accurate that I have ever heard, the colors the mood, I really enjoying it again, it will get better and better so please be a little positive and give it a try, I’m on wheel and with the improved steering animations it’s really more immersive, I’m pretty much getting the hype back 🔥
Tiny island, 30 minutes of driving around. No proper new cars in the update, mainly reskined ones. Races in the game are too repetitive, feels like there is no motive to go to ibiza. Tdu2 had a reason to hop between islands. But hey we get new stickers
totally right on everything but Ibiza is a small island when irl driving "normal" takes about 45 minutes to do a whole drive around i hoped to see a casino here but yeah....
There really needs to be a career mode and there needs to be some order in the events. Organising say the Daily Driver Sub 450 PI events into a championship of say 10 events including time trials, races and other PR stunts would be a good idea. You get repeatability because you can unlock that championship in the next class and so on. Their current scattergun approach is the biggest turn off, plus the grind and the price of content is ridiculous. I still have a few races to finish that requires a specific car and I can't find the motivation to grind the same things over and over to earn the credits to buy it.
Doesn't seem like exploration is rewarded. That was the beauty of the original. Enjoying cars, finding dealerships, tolling the line between driving a delivery car fast and damaging it, giving random people lifts, *earning* the credits to buy cars and homes. Who cares about influence? Influence never stopped someone from buying something they had the credits for. It's a stupid mechanic.
Now I'm even more glad that I managed to squeeze a refund on my gold edition, never know maybe FH6 will be what this was meant to be... A spiritual successor if you will.
The only thing that will make me get this game again is an offline mode. I played it a couple weeks after it came out and it was abysmal. IDK what it was, I assume it was the always online, but I couldn't get the game to run more than 30fps, and it averaged about 16fps. It's not my PC, I play FH5, NFS Unbound, MWIII, BO6, Snowrunner, and some other games at maximum graphics in 4k and I get anywhere from 80-120fps on those games. Even when I dropped the TD:SC graphics to the bottom of the barrel in 720p, it got 60fps, but I couldn't drive over 60mph for more than 10 seconds because it wouldn't load the map ahead of me. It only loaded the map once I got to where it needed to load, then it would freeze for about 15 seconds, and after it loaded I was allowed to drive for 10 more seconds. Even in races, it wouldn't load the map for the race, so when I got 10 seconds into the race my car froze in place while it waited for the map to load, but the NPC racers don't need the map to load for them, so they just scooted on by through the void, making it literally physically impossible to get any other position than last. I didn't finish a single race or event before closing the game and refunding it. I played Cyberpunk day 1 and it couldn't even hold a candle to the problems this game has.
To me, the tru next feature for TDU would be to be able to walk and drive. No bullcrap loading screens. I want to park next to the clothes/car shop, exit my car, walk over and look around for what I want to buy. Now, I understand they don't want to have pedestrians and cars because of ratings, so maybe give me a parking lot with a direct path to the store or something. Also, those futuristic buildings need to die. They stick out so much and they are boring as hell to look at. Destroy that trash a give me the beautiful dealers we had on past TDU and, of course, houses. By the way, I should be able to buy a house and throw a party for other players
ive been watching since day 1 ... i havent bought the game, i was about to buy it during the steam sale since i knew ibiza was coming, but after seeing reviews, its still not worth buying in my eyes. But seeing that dude talk about their plans, and admitting they need to fix it, gives me hope. They got a lot of potential sales... im sure im not the only one. Hopefully i will buy it at some point
Never hated anything more than this piece of shit game. Nothing will save it, just bin it already lol, they just tried to cash out on the TDU name with these laughable servers and that stupid region lock
You can "fix" all you want, but they need to almost completely rebuild the game. No amount of "oh we need more content and features" will fix the fact that the game just isn't fun or TDU at all.
Reason they has postponed season 3 is cause how are you ment to have online racing and ranked when no-one can play with each other because of region locked, I think if they don't open region then it's gonna die soon
So I've watched the latest developer diary. Towards the end they mention that they want to add TDU features. But not a word is said about what those features will be. Nobody knows what the developers mean by TDU DNA. And I bet they don't even know themselves at this stage. So I for one will wait and see what comes next and whether the developers have finally understood their assignment.
They didn't mention it in the latest one because it was already gone over in their previous ones, things like adding houses, adding the casino back in, possibly another map in at least a year, and some things that they did fix like the steering wheel animations.
The problem is if they add an offline mode, there is no actual story mode to the game. There is nothing there to keep you from mindless races that have no plot, even going to ibiza is pointless
I gonna wait for Assetto Corsa EVO to be Honest in the last time we didnt got realy good racing game Motorfest, Solar Crow they dont realy are something many like.
Offline mode is the cure, it waste a lot of resources and even KT and Nacon can't handle the region lock and the server stabilities, just let the game go mostly offline and focus on finishing Ibiza ASAP
It's infuriating how it's normalized for a game to be complete trash at release, and then they try to patch the trash up with updates... compared to 2000s when we had huge yet polished games at release (think GTA SA, Oblivion, Underground 2 etc). There is no excuse for this BS and people are dumb for enabling this behavior by preordering.
I've come to start blaming No Man's Sky & Cyberpunk to normalize such behavior for every companies to compete on who can has the worst possible launch of any new game releases
This issue has affected test drive unlimited since the very beginning. The very first game had graphical issues, server issues (granted this was in the early days of online play), invisible traffic cars, screen tearing etc etc. all were fixed of course the newest 1.66a version had none of these issues. But they did happen in the beginning. TDU 2 as well had many many issues basically the same issues as TDU SC is currently having. And it made the game unplayable to many people hence why it never became mainstream popular. The people who did persevere and wait for the patches did enjoy the game and hold it in very high regard today but the issues did happen and put a lot of people off. Although both of those could be played offline if you set up 2 profiles one for online play one for offline which did mean you could avoid the online problems which you obviously can't with TDU SC
I think ppl got it all wrong, I think their inspiration for making the game was Test Drive: Ferrari Racing Legends not TDU. The first installment since 2012's Test Drive: Ferrari Racing Legends"

The flip side is if it tanks hard like many are predicting it will, it may disappear entirely, like many other very good series like Midnight Club, TOCA, and Driver. Even though it was a rough launch, I hope they can save it with patches and updates.
Fail hard enough and other companies will be afraid to make similar games too. Then it's just a Microsoft monopoly with endless Forza Horizons.
@@tenpoundburritoidk about you, whole update reeks them trying to cutting their losses after also releasing that shitty ass MXGP game shortly after, and having them working on whatever tf is this "Endurance Motorsports" game is doesn't sounded like a good news to anyone including myself
meaning they're might gonna abandon this game if them stickers, solar passes & Selene Editions of existing cars didn't sell well to justify the costs of maintaining this game, hence why Ibiza is like only the capital part of the city rather than the whole island, which is full of empty nothingness for those whose lucky enough managed to glitched out the map boundaries
nothing is saving this game
True facts. This game Suxz.
I feel this way to 😢 I'm so mad that they think stickers is what we want 😂
Brother a whole damn map@PIXX3L5
If they keep updating the game properly then they probably will
Yeah it's over for the game unfortunately
I would buy games, download them somewhere with internet, then go home to play.
When I tried that with Forza Horizon, it would work for awhile, then give me an error the next day saying I couldn't launch because the server was unavailable.
I contacted Microsoft, and their official response was that it has to connect to the servers at least once per day. They ended up giving me a refund, and I repurchased the game along with Forza Horizon 4 when internet was eventually offered in my area.
When my internet is down, I get the same error from Forza Horizon 4 and 5.
Maybe it's because I'm on PC?
Releasing an unfinished game that should have had all this content on release day and making an excuse for "free content updates" is a bad trend I'm seeing man.
I'll jump in when I see back to Hawaii
So now instead of stickers they giving us cars already in the game and putting stickers on them - salene. Well done saving this mess
R.I.P Test Drive 😔 was excited for this game for over a year man
"This is your progression, a shit hat"
The original TDU is 18 years old - today it's in Ibiza.
All it's missing is 'we no speak americano' and some dancing animations and it's memed itself.
Gotta be honest here, for all those problems we have suffered from launch to these days in this game, I think every one of us players deserve that Chiron super sport as compensation for us 😅
Agreed An I Don't Even Own The Game Because Of The Bad Reviews....
I'd much rather have my money back instead & spend it elsewhere if I we're you guys
but then again I'm just couldn't anymore glad I didn't even had a next gen console or capable gaming PC/laptop, nor do I didn't wasted my money buying this turd
@@tristandavis8364 Yeah really should consider yourself lucky for not buying this game. Launch situation was such a shitshow that I don't even have any mood to play this game anymore. But I do hope this game will make a healthy comeback just like both cyberpunk & no man sky cause despite all those issues, the map & car sounds in this game are truly amazing.
@@adlibbed2138 Yeah if they will give us a option to refund right now I will definitely refund it & use it to pre order the new Asseto corsa game cause it do look promising.
14:39 I’m crying
New wheels is nice, map is alright, but two cars is... yikes (especially as they can be played in other games since launch)
Very cool video black panthaa
tesssssss. the memories of her rampaging and smacking down cameras 😂
One thing i noticed is it takes alot more grinding to level up in the solar pass which is super frustrating played for a couple hours and barely got to level 2
I say again... until the Offline is not here it's a no buy for me. I won't grind and then have my progression locked.
Who thinks the game is a slap in the face. Just like the compensation???
Istg I forgot about this game's existence
Well time to give Test Drive 2nd chance!
for those people who just watched the new dev diary video from KT and Nacon for TDUSC, they said they postponed the Clans wars season to replace as a more TDU DNA-aligned season for season 3 to fix the game as it should be
Which he saw the video of, in this video near the end.
@@fredcharleskrueger5183 thanks a lot, i will edit the comment to some people who didnt watch the full video
@@benn87 Sounds more like they are just really scaling back the post launch support.
It has TDU 2 vibes again, real vibes, car sounds are the most accurate that I have ever heard, the colors the mood, I really enjoying it again, it will get better and better so please be a little positive and give it a try, I’m on wheel and with the improved steering animations it’s really more immersive, I’m pretty much getting the hype back 🔥
thanks for keeping us in the loop - i weirdly enjoy these ever so often. just makes me think about evo in january!
My mouth opened to the floor when the Tess Wintory appeared
People need more dopamine nowadays. Specially in gamers.
Yeah, I want the whole Island to drive. Wide open spaces was the main feature of TDU2. And missions, and real estate.
It's lost the foundations and soul of what a TDU game is.
The simple fact that you still can’t access 20:47 and walk around a physical clothes store says it all…this game is a frode.. I hope they fix it
It’s wild on their site that they still advertise the delivery missions smh
Doesn't seem like exploration is rewarded. That was the beauty of the original. Enjoying cars, finding dealerships, tolling the line between driving a delivery car fast and damaging it, giving random people lifts, *earning* the credits to buy cars and homes. Who cares about influence? Influence never stopped someone from buying something they had the credits for. It's a stupid mechanic.
I do not see no 'th' in Ibiza.1:31
But, it's still on-line and servers go up and down, and things get lost.
ive been watching since day 1 ... i havent bought the game, i was about to buy it during the steam sale since i knew ibiza was coming, but after seeing reviews, its still not worth buying in my eyes.
But seeing that dude talk about their plans, and admitting they need to fix it, gives me hope.
They got a lot of potential sales... im sure im not the only one. Hopefully i will buy it at some point
Split the small amount of player they have is the worst idea. Honk Kong gonna be more empty than ever
Never hated anything more than this piece of shit game. Nothing will save it, just bin it already lol, they just tried to cash out on the TDU name with these laughable servers and that stupid region lock
The manufacturer brand SUBARU is missing
YES.. NFS Unbound was on the same boat
Yeah now nfs unbound is one of my favorite racing games
Some cars have had their audio fixed, seemingly all cars have a sort of deep rumble effect added to the engine sound.
They should change the name to soulless crown
Solar Concord
Solar Frown
Server Crash
anything else I've missing out?
So glad I never gave them my money. Not my test drive.
Hate to see it, but the clothing store screen looks like the customiser thing in Fortnite
You can "fix" all you want, but they need to almost completely rebuild the game. No amount of "oh we need more content and features" will fix the fact that the game just isn't fun or TDU at all.
i actually enjoy the game we need way more stuff but i actually like it, motorfest just couldn’t do it for me
hey pants ferrari roma got added to motorfest
Much nicer vibe than HKI.
if they add offline & houses it will completely change everything
Reason they has postponed season 3 is cause how are you ment to have online racing and ranked when no-one can play with each other because of region locked, I think if they don't open region then it's gonna die soon
Test Drive SC gets a rare update before Assetto Corsa EVO!!
Offline Mode can maybe help them redeem their self. I was a fan until I seen they did that weak move.
When you build a map have things in it for people to interact with otherwise its just set dressing.
Tess Wintory wow omg I can’t believe
Like the main hub works like the Mainstage in The Crew Motorfest.
So are they never adding purchasable houses ?
Didn't know houses go bad mate...
I didn't even know this game dropped
Why do the wheels turn like they're connected by a rubber band?
The problem is if they add an offline mode, there is no actual story mode to the game. There is nothing there to keep you from mindless races that have no plot, even going to ibiza is pointless
agree to disagree, having an offline mode adressed pronto beats not being able to even boot up the game after they're done with this game to me
That mirror at 5 fps
I gonna wait for Assetto Corsa EVO to be Honest in the last time we didnt got realy good racing game Motorfest, Solar Crow they dont realy are something many like.
This game NEEDS crazy taxi style missions!!! ASAP
Like adrenaline missions in TDU 2
Offline mode is the cure, it waste a lot of resources and even KT and Nacon can't handle the region lock and the server stabilities, just let the game go mostly offline and focus on finishing Ibiza ASAP
This ibiza map is smaller than than the ibiza map on TDU2 to which we could use the whole map
But is the Ibiza map just the city? Or is the rest of the island unlocked later in the game?
1:30 Why does Pants *insist* on pronouncing Ibiza like that? He over here arguing with the announcer!😂
Because that's how you pronounce it....
He`s trying too hard lmao
The correct way to pronounce Ibiza is “ee-BEE-tha.”
@ Really? Why? It’s a “Zeee” tho lol. What language is it based on? (Genuine curiosity)
Now we just need a Oʻahu map.
I'm gonna focus on anime rpgs or visual novels more than car games
Found an artical from 2020 saying that "Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown will be the newest entry in the previously popular series. The first installment since 2012's Test Drive: Ferrari Racing Legends"
Then they need to make that clear, and not put 'Unlimited' in the game title...
The only two prouncing Ibiza right, Theo and ... Mike Tyson
I've lived in Ibiza on and off for 25 years. I have driven every road since long before they even had motorways. Nothing I have seen in this video reminds me of ibiza. Also, you corrected the pronunciation of ibiza at the start. You were wrong lol.
at least could’ve gave us the whole island
I miss the original test drive for the PS2 I remember me and my dad spent hours playing it trying to beat vasily great memories 😢
The voice in the game pronounced Ibiza correctly and Panthaa tried to correct it 🤣🤣
I'm not American
@BlackPanthaa it was just funny😅 in the game they said it with the Spanish pronunciation.
They say it with the American pronunciation in game
@@BlackPanthaa I know it's the Spanish pronunciation cause I'm form Spain, yo se perfectamente como se pronuncia y como se escucha la pronunciación de Ibiza.
