- The 17,700 seat arena is more than 70% Complete with 228,700 sq ft of PTFE and 11,400 sq ft of ETFE panels.
Work on the Plaza continues with a platform that will provide access from the pedestrian bridge. The Plaza will include restaurants and a team store. I didn't think they could fit the new arena in that spot, but they did it. Right in view when you're getting ready to land at LAX. Can't wait to see Intuit Dome on top of the arena from the air.

This why I love the Rams, Clippers and Warriors owners they didn’t ask for public money they just bought the land got city approval and started building
Maybe because the Clippers owner is Steve Ballmer, majority shareholder in Microsoft.
Steve Ballmer is one of the richest men in the world. Not every owner can afford to build a $1-2 billion stadium or arena.

LA is getting a lot of new toys but the Freeway infrastructure is the most important. More than Arenas, Spaceship museums and people mover trams

Not really sure what to think since Ballmer bought the Forum a few years back. But yeah, kinda makes it obsolete. Not really sure though how concerts will be audio fidelity wise, Forum vs Intuit? I'd like to hear from their PR what concerts would be like since it's designed as basketball 1st venue.
@@JEK Didn't know Balmer bought the Forum. I heard him say in an interview recently that he plans on having concerts at the new arena.
He bought the Forum for $400 million just to not have to go to court against MSG during the time Intuit was trying to get approvals to be built.

It's not that hard. Through FAA Dronezone, submit your coordinates and intended AGL it took less than 2 weeks for a long term airspace authorization, if you are Part 107 licensed.

Intuit arena will cost 2 billion to build for basketball and Cowboys Stadium was 1.15 billion for football. Am I missing anything here?
Inflation? Built in 2009, in today's economy it would cost about $1.77 billion to build. Also, It is 80,000 capacity and expandable to 100,000. Intuit Dome is only 18,000. I imagine more building regulations in CA do to close proximity to earthquake fault lines.
