And what happened when the first female to drive the TARDIS, she crashed it, women drivers lol
The best ever reaction to the TARDIS?
*"It's smaller on the outside"*
In a way, the TARDIS is the longest serving companion for the Doctor, and it all started when they “stole” each other that day on Gallifrey.
Oh, and a minor correction for you, the chameleon circuit was actually briefly repaired in “Attack of the Cybermen”, but the fix didn’t last very long.
Well, it did and didn't. It was and presumably still is 'fixed' ... she just likes being a police box and refuses to change.
True but he's known The Master longer and that was his friend when they were still kids.
@@cryptozoomauler5505 But the Master was never a travelling companion to the Doctor.
The TARDIS has always been though.
The Doctor procrastinating on repairing the TARDIS for 64 years is relatable
Where are you getting 64 years from?
@Liam3015 Idk I probably counted wrong 🤷🏼♀️
@@ninavermoesen3907 I guessed as much, it's 60 years :)
@Liam3015 I know the show exists 60 years, but I wouldn't be surprised if it actually was 64 years because he's a literal time traveler, but tbh just 60 makes more sense
@@ninavermoesen3907 Well, the Doctor's not 60 years old so the number is far, far higher than that.
Not my first trip...that was with the 4th Doctor in the 70s. But I love hearing about it. ALLON-SEY!
My theory, (if you'll pardon me saying), is that there's nothing wrong with the TARDIS's chameleon circuit. It's just tired of changing shapes all the time. It's happy enough being a London Police call box and if The Doctor doesn't like that, he can stick it up his jumper!
Cool theory, but it actually obviously can’t be true since you can’t theorize on facts in the show. Not to be rude or anything, I’m just saying that the broken chameleon circuit thing is just a fact. I actually really like that theory regardless, shows off the tardises sassy and rebellious side!
Well it was fixed by David's doctor but the doctor liked it so it stays. It's no longer broken technically.
The Sixth Doctor once temporarily repaired the chameleon circuit with decidedly erratic results; materialising as a pipe organ, an antique cabinet and an ornate archway before reverting back to the familiar blue police box.😊
Attack of the Cybermen
In a novelisation of “The Doctor’s Wife”, or in a script for it, I don’t remember clearly. But it said that the Chameleon Circuit has been repaired long time ago. But it’s the Doctor himself, who doesn’t want to change the appearance of TARDIS
It's a shame that RTD never properly explained why The Doctor regenerated back into Tennant, hopefully more explanations for this and other potholes will be answered within series 1/14? 🤔
It was because the Doctor was running on fumes and needed a long time to relax. So their body turned back into Tennant and bumped into Donna so the whole metacrisis situation could be resolved and the Doctor can relax with his family
What I really wanna know is the in-universe explanation as to why 13s clothes regenerated into 14. Idec that it happened with the First Doctor, it's still odd 😂
My headcanon is that it’s a paradox and the Toymaker’s fault. Toymaker influenced 13’s regeneration into 14, because he knew 14 would release him back into the universe.
The Toymaker exists outside the bounds of linear time. So when Tennant’s 14th Doctor and Donna fought the Not-Things in Wild Blue Yonder, and 14 unleashed the Toymaker back into the universe, the Toymaker traveled back in time and messed with the Doctor’s timeline. He admits as such in “The Giggle” when he says “I made a jigsaw puzzle of your history. Did you like it?”
All of this to say, my theory is the whole thing is a grandfather paradox. Toymaker needed 13 to become 14 in order for 14 to release him back into the universe. So once Toymaker came back into the universe, he traveled back in time and messed with the Doctor’s timeline for fun, but also to insure his own chronology or entry back into the universe. It’s a paradox. It’s also why the Doctor’s clothes regenerated with them when they changed from 13 to 14. The Toymaker was retroactively influencing the regeneration.
Don't you remember the Curator? "I will revisit some of the old faces, but only the favourites ones." Isn't Tennant one of the favourites?
Donna explained it perfectly. The Doctor was starting to stagger along at this point because they had been running for so long and never gave themselves a chance to have a break and sit down for a moment. So as a result, Tennant's face came back and he then bumped into Donna because it was their body's way of telling them that they needed to stop and rest.
A regeneration doesn’t need to be a whole new face. There’s room for a familiar mug to come back around.
Yeyy another one of these videos, I love these guides! ✨ I'm so exited 👀
The Doctor's longest lasting and most faithful companion ❤❤
I'd take the TARDIS on a global adventure, seeing all the places on Planet Earth I would love to visit but unfortunately cannot afford to go to at the moment. That would be a dream!
1:12 it sounds like hes saying Tardasses 😂
This is a really cool video for newbies.
The Newbians of the Whoniverse! 10 years ago, I was one.
@@Lia-zw1ls7tz7o Same 💗 11-12ish years ago 🥺
It is. Explains a lot for a newbie like me
It’s also shown that The Doctor likes the police box of the TARDID so the circuit could be fixed but doesn’t want to change it
I can’t watch it anymore and these videos make me have even more depression😭😭😭😭
Maybe the new Doctor can revive K9. K9 puppies ? 🤔 (yeah, I'm old. Tom Baker is still my Doctor) 🤣
Its bigger on the Inside than it is on the Outside! 😱
My favourite piece of trivia about the design of the Tardis is that the British police attempted to Sue over the use of the design in Doctor Who. And that the courts decided that because the first episode of Doctor Who was released in the year that the police stopped using the design the police had relinquished all rights to the design.
I would love travel to the meet and greet H G Wells as he is about to create the Time Machine
Never seen Timelash, have you?
When earth's sun dies.
Honestly pretty neat having these videos to catch people up, as the new era is said to be a new full on jumping on point, showing new fans important information while showing old clips of classic and modern Doctor Who. Some neat little catch-ups
Do you think we might see the other aka euteuoyar
Oh I already have a complete list of things and persons I like to see if I have a TARDIS😉
Nice wipe at 6:23! I've always gone with Tardae (Because it's funny!) and another great job Tyrell!
No mention of the round things. Disgraceful.
I could imagine a great way to use a TARDIS with a working chameleon circuit is to be a museum, use the potentially infinite interior as storage space and go back in time to collect genuine interesting artefacts when they’re brand new and return before anyone notices the museum is missing.
In that case, the TARDIS would be a great opportunity to return stolen items during colonialism back to their rightful indigenous owners!
@@Lia-zw1ls7tz7o Wouldn't that potentially create some paradoxes?
@@HB-fq9nn not if you give them back after they were stolen. Like in present day or after the 1960s when African nations gained independence (if you’re returning African pieces of art, that is).
@@Lia-zw1ls7tz7o Oh absolutely.
The Sixth Doctor actually fixed it but switched it back or it broke again. I can't remember but that was one time that I remember him fixing it.
1:09 plural wouldn't work as it's a anacronym
💙💙💙💙💙
It's smaller on the outside 🟦
GET THIS MAN ON THE SHOW!!!!!!!!
that tshirt 😻
The editing on these new to who vids are great! Fun, playful and informative for new viewers and those who may be less acquainted with our silly little sci-fi show about a mad man in a blue box! 🔥🔥
Can't wait to see where the TARDIS takes us next!
yay... a slip up and at the end of the video you refer to the Doctor as HE - finally!.... not that correct pronouns arent a reasonable thing but referring to him as 'they' in every video is really jarring. The doctor can be male or female sure but is definitely one or the other depending on regeneration so whats wrong with referring to him as him for a male incarnation and her as a female one?
that’s what i was thinking. all the character in the show refer to him or her depending on what regeneration so why can’t they do that outside of the show?
@@thedrspod exactly. Ive no problem with any of it and the Doctor being male or female but theres just no need in THIS context to refer to him or her as they.
As you rightly say, in the show he is never a they so why tiptoe around like this. Its jarring.
I LOVE NEW TARDIS.
Same
It's not bad by any means.
Agreed!
Me too a mix of classical and modern
I wish it was closed off like 12s though tbh
Ooh we're not gonna just skip past that wipe transition at 6:22 !!! Brilliant!
Absolutely
❤️😎❤️🎉❤️
Doctor who in 2 days, I need a Tardis ASAP. Love ya Doctor who 💙💙
0:24 yeah if you’ve never watched the 3rd doctor
He still had the TARDIS though he just couldn’t use it for a while.
Yeah ik but that doesn’t really make a difference, he is still without a tardis from a storytelling perspective, just because it’s there in the back of some shots doesn’t really mean anything
Would say i was looking forward to seeing this new series but it will be so woke and pc friendly
Besides the Daleks, the TARDIS is my favorite aspect of Doctor Who!
Doctor Who wouldn’t be the same without either!
Not the Dr?😉
I would definitely like to go to Cybertron... Just imagine the crossover shenanigans
I ❤ TARDIS
Temporal Engineering isn't "time travel". It's the science of making things that that time travel and understanding how time travel works.
Considering this won’t be the DW we love I guess we all are now. They have changed it into this watered down pandering virtue signaling POS.

I have sooooo many TARDIS themed things in my house!
A teapot too?
@@gavinhughes7136 and a TARDIS dematerializing coffee mug!
First
Nope
You're third, sorry.
If I could travel in the TARDIS (my favorite TARDIS teams are Fifteen and Ruby, Thirteen and Yaz and Eleven and Clara), I would love to explore Earth's ancient history such as the Cambrian period where trilobites, Anomalocaris and the first fish existed while life on land didn't exist yet. The TARDIS would create a bubble like in Legends of the Sea Devils (I soo wanted the TARDIS to materialize under water again after it did so in Listen and it did!).
I also would love to travel to different points in human evolution and meet early hominids like Lucy. Ad I'd want to travel to Paleolithic Europe to meet Neanderthals and find out what their languages sounded like. I bet the TARDIS has a section with grammars of lost languages or the like.
On a more personal level, I would love to travel back in time to my grandparents' generation to get to know them better (and in case of my paternal Croatian grandparents, to be able to understand them thanks to the TARDIS's translation circuit).
In terms of traveling to the future, I'd love to see what the surface of a habitable tidally-locked exoplanet would look like like the ones in the TRAPPIST system and go to a hospital in the future like the 51st century where gender affirming surgeries have become so advanced that they're an outpatient procedure.
I was hoping one day to see the swimming pool.
0:46 Using the doctor's racist wife to first explain the TARDIS sure is a choice 😭😭
Does doctor who respond to this 👀👀👀
No
@@Blazing_Ninja I think they just did above.
The TARDIS is the Doctor's PIC
Is this guy's shirt bigger on the inside? I could with one like that
Fun fact: My car is a cobalt blue Mini Cooper. I added a decal with the “police public call box” text on the back window. My car is now the Tardis. 😄
2008 had better CGI than this.
Are you saying that they had to do the best CGI for an 8 minute video that Isn't even canon to doctor who and is merely meant to fill people in, unless you're talking about the episodes.
The tardis is one of the best time machines of all time besides the Delorean and from Back to the future
Guy on the thumbnail really said: "MR BEEEEEAAAAAST"
The tardis is ancient and beautiful
Is the tardis bigger than red dwarf.anyone know?
Don't forget! It was also Susan The Doctors Granddaughter who came up with the nam
I loved world Doctor who, but I dont loved and liked New Face Doctor ak a Shuty Gatva, this men is very suck like actor and new Doctor, back him, back loved actores
Give him a chance
Ah yes Shuty Gatva
I love the actors who play the doctor, but yeah, the stories can be very boring, we need more humor, something to wake us up, more modern take of a doctor and hopefully this doctor can do that. They need to get with the times.
Doctor Who just wouldn’t be the same without the TARDIS 🟦 📞
