It’s a 7,000-square-foot space - a combination of four penthouse apartments - with what appear to be homeowner’s association (HOA) fees of nearly $5,000 per month. McCarthy pays 1500$ for it 😂. Besides the “room” he rented, McCarthy would have had access to a 24/7 concierge, a rooftop pool, a fitness center, a media room, a business center, and a party room with a bar and pool table.
So do you think the HOA allows subleasing on a per-room basis??

After hearing this ... they all need to go. We need to have actual citizen representatives n government who want to serve and then go home just as the Constitution intended.
$1500/monthly sound like a middle class standard of living. By providing a UBI of $1440 and increasing the minimum wage to $15, this would bring the entire working class into a middle class standard of living. Plus, you would still have to work to pay off the rest of your rent and sustain one’s self. If that were the new “basic,” can you imagine how free Americans would be?

This is a standard practice among house/Senate members. They sub-let a space to stay in D.C., if needed. They do this because there are not a lot of places to stay. Some news channel did a story on it, and it sounded so bizarre that I had to watch it. It is apparently more common with freshmen members of Congress and the Senate.
