- Watch a black-crowned night heron catch fish with bread cubes he picks up from the lawn and tosses into a pond in Hawaii. The bird is known as Auku'u in the Hawaiian language. He is also known locally as "Hank the Heron".

Amazing capture! So even the poor desperate and huge fish caught as 2:25 was swallowed down alive?! I wonder if it had any slim chance of escaping the birds hungry stomach if eaten in that condition or can the bird really digest it bones and all??

Does the unlucky prey stand any chance itself to turn around and escape (or even damage? Hopefully not.) the heron’s elastic throat/stomach if eaten in that condition as well!?
