I do not own any of the rights of the music played in this video
If u dont like linkin park u dont like music. Period!
This is FACTS
This is BS. Unsubbed #NotReally😂
FACTS!!!
If u gonna judge a book by its cover THATS up to u too is a fact!
It shows he hast really seen much performances to judge & critique that hard before even startin.
What other rapper would flow in and out specially on the cop part better than Mike? Now that he seen it I want to know. If u say Eminem then well no duh.
So yeah if u wanna judge a book by its cover or not even lookin at it properly that’s up to u. That’s a fact too 💯
Chester was definitely the unicorn but Mike is the genius behind Linkin Park. Rapping, Singing, songwriting, producing, plays multiple instruments and the nicest guy.
Facts!
00:38 I don't think they ever acted like that? Mike literally has a song called "Step Up" from their Hybrid Theory days where he calls out bands who acted like they were doing something revolutionary by mixing rap and rock. Insane how my guy chose the most wholesome and musically talented guy to hate on lol
Right. The guy on the right was being pretty damn lame, thinks he’s “too cool” to enjoy a fucking performance that is simply badass. Just because he has some gripe with Mike? He ruined the entire vibe with his smarmy comments. The entirety of this production was specifically for people that like jay-z and linkin park, and all artists involved looked forward to working with each other for it.
i left as soon as i heard that.. what a dumba**
@@goeienacht Bro is entitled to his opinion the same as the rest of us. If he doesn't fuck with Linkin Park, he doesn't fuck with them, you sound like you took the shit personal for some weird reason.
@@omegashinra7672 dude you’re a month late 🤡 and yes, I did take it personally lol. And I stated my disdain towards the unprompted awful takes and whiney “commentary”. My opinion upset you too? Then take your own advice, the world keeps spinning
Don't take a bass players views on music too serious dude, especially when they are as high as a kite 🤣
How can you not like Mike?! He's an amazing human, and incredibly talented. That guy was hurting my feelings 😂 😂
What a weirdo for not liking Mike, Hasma is just a grumpy hater don’t mind him
The story goes: MTV wanted to do a mash-up show. They went to Jay-Z for the first episode and asked who he wanted to work with. He said Linkin Park. Mike Shinoda answered right away with 3 finished mashups as a yes. He learned to produce by making mash-ups. So, they ended up making a whole EP. It was supposed to be a show about making one mash-up. But they did it so big and so well that MTV couldn’t even make a second episode of Ultimate Mash-Ups.
After that, Jay-Z was the executive producer of Mike Shinoda's side project, Fort Minor - "The Rising Tied". If you don't mind, check out "Where'd You Go" by Fort Minor.
Honestly i can't stand the "i dont like that guy for no reason" attitude.
Yeah wtf, I will eventually change his mind
why you think LP is acting like they invented this kind of mash-up thing ? I can only leave couple of lines from their song "Step Up" before even Hybrid Theory came out :
" I heard that some of you are gettin' help with your rhymes
You're not an MC if someone else writes your lines
Rappin' over rock doesn't make you a pioneer
'Cause rock and hip-hop have collaborated for years"
And this is a song from 1999 xd
Nah Chester has a huge stage prescence as well. He always did TONS of running around the stage, jumping and doing some ad lib vocals for Mike's rapping parts
Do a reaction of Given Up by Linkin Park, AOL live session! Chester is not an introvert, do more live versions and everything will fall in place!
Also, Mike is a beast! He does everything from production to artistry to bass guitar to rhythm guitar to rapping to drumming. You name it, he does it and he is super humble!
Also, if you wanna hear more complex LP, react to The Hunting Party! Crazy album!
Please try reacting to linkin park faint live rock am ring 2007 and Linkin Park - QWERTY (Summer Sonic Tokyo 2006)
Nice reaction guys, check faint 2007 rock am ring, one of best live performances, chester is a fking beast!!
Btw chester wasnt shine at all if you react to that live you will see it holy molly!
Payed him! Dum! So some research brooooo! "He's probably very talented" says it all, lol merry Christmas poo
I mean, to combat your point about them not being the first to do the rap and rock colab....Nothing even came remotely close to this as far as production and it actually sounding great. Alot of the rock/rap collabs that happened in the late 80s and 90s sounded very forced and felt like a novelty. Rap/rock or nutmetal, whatever you wanna call it, actually became great around this time. I honestly never really care who created a sound first...it's who did it the best. And you can't really find an example of two artists, one rock, one rap, where it sounded better than this. I also know that alot of metal people rejected this kind of music when it was popular. But I honestly just think it is hating, because it was just simply better music. Just because something is popular, doesn't mean it's less than more traditional sounds from a genre. Quite the oppposite actually. I just wish metal fans would be more open to newer sounds and ideas. I know this is from the 2000s, so I am not saying Linkin Park specifically. But anything that doesn't soudn traditional, metal fans gatekeep and reject it. It's the reason why the metal scene is so small nowadays. Luckily it is getting a bit better, especially now. But it's nowhere near the mainstream success Numetal, or even the 2010s metalcore scene in popularity. And I think a big part of that is metal fans not wanting to see innovation. Just the same boring metalcore sound that guitar players can jack off to.
You haven't heard the OST for Judgement Night then.
So Jay was approached by VH1 to do a mashup like this and he said he’d do it with LP
Mike gives u a finger without knowing u, after u say u dont like him. How bad ass is it.😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
When you look at it from a rapping/hip-hop point of view, Mike is actually a pretty good rapper. Not one of the bests, but he definitely is not a slouch
They are all very competent and unique on their craft. That’s what makes this band awesome - everyone is goated
This whole thing happened because of Mike Shinoda and Jay-Z.
Jay chose Linkin Park to colab with. The only group he wanted to. He admired Chester and the band so much.
Mike then instantly put 3 songs together because he already knew what to do with this mashup. Mashups are one of the ways he loved to make music. He sent them over to Jay and the rest is history.
They then made a full 6 song album together. And MTV never did another one of these because they knew they couldn’t compete with this.
I wouldn’t be doing my due diligence as a lifelong fan who got to see them 5 times. #1. Jay Z approached Linkin Park about collaborating. #2. You may not like Mike Shinoda but you need to understand just how much the fact Mike Shinoda was not only VERY talented but he pretty much was the glue that held the band together. I say all that coming to you as a Super Chester Bennington fan. Chester was my favorite, However the other five absolutely must be given their credit. It’s why they were Linkin Park. And if you don’t agree well then that’s your right of opinion.
Nahh Chester was never a shy guy. He's active guy on stage
Its already been said, MTV came to Jay and asked him who he wanted to collab with, he was a millionaire back then, this was suppose to be a tv series for MTV, but Mike Shinoda produced the whole collab, he said in the documentary, his goal was that MTV could never top what they did with another mash up. MTV never did another Mashup even though this was a massive success. Mike Shinoda succeed, in the documentary he said Jay Z knew what his plan was, without even having to say it. there were six songs, a whole album, a documentary. I live one block from where this was shot, The Roxy on Sunset Blvd in LA. This is what you need to watch, you really see Chester and Mike were equals ruclips.net/video/KAw_GvvUuDo/видео.html
Bro we’re neighbors let’s gooo!
HASMA!! STOP HATING BRO!!
Mike is as essential as Chester
That’s what made them legends
SO COME ON MAN, GET ON IT
You tell him bro!!!
I hear a little jealousy in dudes voice. Chill out. RIP CHESTER
Linkin Park is the best and also most underrated Band ever! Chesters voice is unique and Mike Shinoda is a lyric genius. If you don't get that, stop making music by yourself because you have no clue! ✌🏽
I don’t think they’re underrated, they are just a badass band 🙌
Okay so I have to put it out there since drummers always comes up understandable of course but I think you guys should check out halestorm brother and sister started the band she does guitar and lead vocals and brother drums.
Anthrax + Public Enemy doing Bring Da Noize was a great metal-rap collab, and they recently di a new master of it which might be better quality for reactions but there was also the Spawn and Judgment Night movie soundtracks that both did full soundtracks of metal + hip-hop/rap collabs that had some amazing tracks on them
I recommend that you listen to the album Post Traumatic that Mike released. Beautiful album.
React to QWERTY live & A place for my head live Texas! They are insane! I watched them live the do so much more rob & Mike go crazy on drum solos & Mike goes insane on dj pads solos!!!
Let’s put it this way I never seen anyone type on a keyboard in real life or on video even close to as fast Mike Shinoda can rip the dj pad up! 💯🔥🔥🔥
I've seen LP twice Chester was definitely front and centre no shyness present, he had a massive personality. Mike was a sidekick in comparison. Xx
Chester is the goat
If I remember correctly they play the show twice back to back cause some guy fucked up the recording (or so) and they had only that one chance. Great win for the audience.
That’s crazy!!! Luckiest audience ever haha
mtv asked jay-z to do the collab, and they asked him who he wamts to make it so he said linkin park. they were so good and mtv never made another ep of the series.
Rage against the machine put rock and rap together before Linkin park but LP added chester to create a special hot sauce that kinda created its own genre.
Yeah jay z chose to make this album with Linkin Park
Linkin park had a one weapon. O one had that’s Chester
U can duplicate Chester that’s there secret weapon
you gotta listen to kenji by fort minor it will make you woo
Don't you like mike? Ask him if he'd like YOU
Run dmc and Aerosmith did walk this way
The guck outta here with the linkin park hate.
Hypocrite 😂
I haven’t heard this song in probably a decade or so and I’m so happy you guys are reacting to this!
Timeless iconic collab
Good old Ice T song ..!
i kinda know what u mean about not being blown away by anything mike shinoda does specifically- i kinda felt the same way but he's grown on me- plus he can play drums and piano and dj so he's got other talents- but here is one that i promise you haven't seen that will make you a mike shinoda fan- X-ecutioners featuring mike shinoda- song is called it's going down- and for the record i'm not even a big linkin park fan- i'm gonna sub to see if you see this and watch that song
also here's one of the better rock/rap collabs and it's not even a collab but a more group doing a rap song- but rage against the machine doing cypress hill how i could just kill a man
@@jflatty5389 nice!
You may not like Mike but JayZ had full trust in Mike to mix this whole collab album. The guy is mad talented and you have to respect that.
respect!
Jay-Z chose them
Security was done at Linkin Park concerts not to keep Linkin Park safe but to keep Chester out of the audience. Chester loved being with the audience during concerts. It was hard to keep Chester still for any length of time. In January of 2015 Chester broke his right ankle and had to have several surgeries that he had to be still for at least 6 weeks after. He was back on stage 3 months after the break because he refused to take more time off.
One time in Australia he broke his right wrist 30 minutes into the concert and refused to go to the hospital til after the concert because it was going to be just as broke in 1 hour as it is at that point.
Cool but not as cool as seeing Public Enemy and Anthrax. There was so much fear over how them touring together, I didn't get to go but I hear the shows were epic.
Mike is king love LP
Facts
фуууууу
Iconic. This came out when I was in high school and I love the energy 100%. I probably have hearing loss from blasting this through headphones. 😅
SAME!!!!
If you guys like rap with rock, then From Fall to Spring is a very good band to listen to.
