I'm always amazed at the sheer variety of kit that Emco made and the high quality of it. I fully agree with you about taking your time to get everything spot on. Great video Paul.
Hello Carl, The Emco kit is generally very good and I have always been pleased with it... As this is just a hobby I think it better to get things correct rather than rush... Thanks for watching. Take care. Paul,,
Hello Kevin, I think the Emcostar will be very useful... I am hoping to get it completed very soon as see how it performs. Thanks for watching. Take care. Paul,,
Hello Alan, It great to have almost everything it can offer... and also, that it is nearly working. Hopefully I should be able to film it in action soon. Thanks for watching. Take care. Paul,,
Hello Mick, I am nearly there on getting this one working, which is great news. it will be handy having the accessories stored below and hoper add to the stability, Thanks for watching. Take care. Paul,,
You did well to find the grinding attachment. The EMCO is a cool machine and I like the bench you have mounted it on, we will have to look out for one of those. I hope everything is progressing well with your operation
Hello Joseph, I was pleased with the grinding attachment... and the whole machine to be truthful. I have progressed everything quite a bit since making the video and am quite close to having a running machine. I will drop you guys an email in the next day or two and update you on the hip situation... Thanks for watching. Take care. Paul,,
Hi Paul. You have done well in finding all (bar one) attachments for the Emco. That stand does indeed look strong and robust, and when boxed in will be excellent storage for you. Fingers crossed that your operation happens as planned. Take care. 👏👏👍😀
Hello Andrew, I am really pleased to have most of the attachments, quite a few need some TLC but with a little time and effort they should be fine. I have actually done the sides and doors and it looks quite good, although you cannot get every thing in there but I have a plan B, so all should be okay. The operation was supposed to be last Saturday but was cancelled, I am now putting them under pressure for a new date. Thanks for watching. Take care. Paul,,
@@TheKnacklersWorkshop As much as I love our NHS, I despair that cancelling operations is almost the norm. My own back operation a few years was cancelled unexpectedly and in desperation I paid the same consultant to do the operation, which he did, on the day it was originally due. 😢 Fingers crossed that you get a new date soon.
Hello Kevin, This one is very close to being complete and up and running... I am quite keen to get stuck into using it. Thanks for watching. Take care. Paul,,
That is an amazing machine Paul. There were other machines like this years ago to do multiple operations. I remember my Dad nearly bought a machine like this, which was a saw bench, wood lathe and I think a planer. Hope you get a date soon for your operation. I was due a cataract pre-op this month, but the hospital cancelled it with no explanation. Cheers Nobby
Hello Nobby, The EmcoStar is quite a cool machine... I am keen to finish it and find out how good it is... Sorry to hear about your operation being cancelled, it's quite challenging sometimes all this getting old stuff. Thanks for watching. Take care. Paul,,
Hi Paul. It makes a nice change to see a bought metaled frame table of some decent quality. The wooden sides will also brace the table and the extra weight of all your accessories inside will help to dampen vibration when turning rough wood. Shouldn't be long now before the Emcostar is usable. Hope your operation goes well. Cheers Tony
Hello Tony, It really is a nice stand, I was very pleased with it. Since making the video I have progressed things a bit more and the wooden sides are done and have done lots of cleaning inside the Emcostar and as you say not far for being able to running it. Thanks for watching. Take care. Paul,,
Hello Ian, I am pleased to have this one nearly done... Hopefully it will be a great asset to the workshop. Thanks for watching and your well wishes. Take care. Paul,,
I reckon the table has a good selection of holes for lowering it looks th be quite well made. Height is important for sure, my mill needs lifting I reckon.
Hello Lance, Many thanks for dropping by... since filming the video I have lowered the whole thing an it is lot better... The machine is nearly ready to use now... Take care. Paul,,
Hello Steve, I am hoping it will work well, I am lucky to have the joiners downstairs for advice. The Emcostar's are very well built. Thanks for watching. Take care. Paul,,
Hello Vernon, Yes it is quite similar to the shopmate... The new stand is very stable and I am very happy with it. I should be able to use it very soon. Thanks for watching. Take care. Paul,,
Hello Jason, I got all the sanding disks, belts and bandsaw blades from eBay... I just searched for "Emcostar" and found them. I hope that helps. Take care. Paul,,
Hello, Thank you. some viewers have suggested they have used there's on metal but most say it runs to fast for metal. You could get a single phase VFD to control the speed but it is then getting to be quite an expensive setup. Thanks for watching. Take care. Paul,,
Hi Paul, Looks like your nearly reading to make some chips there. Nice bench as well, I can see from the comments that you've already advanced on making the cupboard. I think the work top looks the right size, whilst there is a lot of overhang from the bandsaw it looks like the CoG is within the bench feet. Hope that they can reschedule your op soon. Have a great week and good luck from Spain!! PS: Did they do a shaper attatchment as well??😅😅🤣🤣
Hello David, It is quite close to being up and running.... and yes the cupboard is all done. I am quite pleased with the outcome. I am still searching for the shaper attachment - lol. Take care. Paul,,
Hi Paul, Thanks for the show. It's an extremely good show for this legendary machine. I'm looking for the planer rubber belt. Do you know what size it is? Thanks
Hello George, The stand is really good... I got it on eBay, if you search "Kreg Multi-Purpose Shop Stand" you should find it, the caster were extra. Thanks for watching. Take care. Paul,,
Hi Paul! I've also got an emco and would like to be able to use the lathe (though those parts are missing from mine).. Do you know what thread the spindle has? Thought that I might buy a third party chuck. Thanks!

@@TheKnacklersWorkshop Totally agree. My brother has an Emco V10P, he swears by it. Not rushing things is always the best option.
Hi Paul, thanks for the update. The Emco going to be a usefull machine in the shop. The stand looks strong enough for it. Regards Kevin
Hello Kevin,
I think the Emcostar will be very useful... I am hoping to get it completed very soon as see how it performs. Thanks for watching.

It looks like an M14x2.0 it might be worth buying a nut that size to check your is the same.
You have another machine! Is in good condition, I presume?
Hello,
The other machine is in quite good condition but some of the accessories are missing so incomplete. Many thanks for watching.
Take care.
