i love soukoku, so i was really happy to see this. i’m sad there wasn’t angst and their pasts (especially chuuya’s) barely scratched the surface of anything, and i can’t tell what’s happening in the animatic due to the audio, but it’s a pretty good video :)

This was very well made and I absolutely love it, but I feel like there’s a lot of missing potential. Like when going into Dazai’s past, it feels incomplete. Maybe it’s just me but I’m a sucker for the 15arc manga and vulnerable Dazai. The serious videos for him didn’t really feel like they got to the root of him, and stuck only to the surface deep that Dazai has. I would have loved if they delved into the lupin trio among other things. The soukoku part itself was also alright just a little less intimately tragic and riddled with the unspoken tenderness than what my ao3 history is used to. And Chuuyas part.. I um. Well, Chuuya is my favorite character and quite literally has the most fleshed out and developed backstory in all of bsd, so it was rather upsetting to see his past discarded. I can understand that not everyone has read Stormbringer (even if it pains me :’) ) but I feel like at least some of his heart wrenching story shouldv been shown. Like even the pretty well known stuff thats excepted by the ppl who haven’t read SB, and there’s tons of TikTok’s too. Anyways these are just things that I noted whilst watching this wonderful video. Honestly despite my critique, I really enjoyed this. It’s very well made and very entertaining to watch! A job well done, KUDOS
