Please don't buy these sandwiches! Terrible! Buy fresh, crusty bread, toast or rolls. For original crusty bread you need a ‘Brotmesser’ (bread knife), because others don't work well. You can choose a cheaper one for about 5 - 10€, but the blade must be stiff, not weak! There are some types of bread with different grains inside, some also outside, and without grains. But always choose one with at least 70% rye. It is more filling and therefore healthier. A tip from me: buy fresh rye bread from a baker. Spread a slice with just a little real butter. Nothing else. It's a real treat! Schlemmerbrötchen: Gourmet rolls: Cut a fresh bread roll into 2 halves. Lightly butter the bottom half. Top with 2 layers of cooked ham. 2 -3 slices of boiled egg, mayonnaise, 2 -3 slices of tomato or gherkins and then the top half of the roll. Everything must be fresh! You will become addicted to it.

Also as a dessert like you ate one. It is also being used to make salty dips. Then, you use the plain Quark and add stuff on your own.

Sorry, but neither Quark, nor Skyr are Yoghurt. In Germany it needs to read “Jogurt”. Also, when you tip the glass candle sideways the wick will be catching fire in no time. Or perhaps get a lighter for stoves and fire places which is longer.

Just to explain: Both Skyr and Quark are a form of very light fresh cheese. Joghurt on the other hand is "only" cultured, meaning fermented, milk.
