'30 minutes? that's way too easy, we had like 4 minutes in the or-' *forcibly reduces the time left twice to just under 4 minutes* 'oh' My thought process when I got to this fight, lol
@@legatosaldana3870 What they meant was 30 minutes appeared to be plenty of time compared to the original. Only for the realization that the boss forces the train to go faster, and reduces your time dramatically, thus making the fight much more stressful. So the timer, while functioning as a gameplay mechanic, is also a psychological tool to make you feel like you're in deep trouble as the fight progresses. Assuming you are capable of "inserting yourself" into the game. And capable of the fear of death I suppose.
For newcomers to P3, in the original versions of P3, the timer till the crash started while you were heading towards the boss and ticked down through battles til you beat it. In Reload, the timer only starts once the boss fight begins, but they also speed it up multiple times *during* the boss, just to emphasize the pressure of running against the clock. As someone who played the original P3, I was suspicious when the timer hadn't started by the time I reached Priestess, and my reaction to the second speedup was pretty much Junpei's here at 4:42 despite knowing something like this was coming. Amazing rendition of the Priestess boss. How this operation was handled is what finally convinced me ATLUS knew what they were cooking with this one. I ended up putting my teammates on AI just to reduce time wasted choosing commands and focused mostly on support through Onmoraki, who could debuff Priestess, but also helped with mobs and buffing with Rakukaja (having Unicorn or Jack Frost helps *a lot* against this boss), and even then time ran down to the last minute. Actually got me sweating a little. 👍

@@Rubhen925so did I, till I realised they probably wanted you to exploit the weakness of the Maya Shadows to give you 2 turns of damage towards her lol
I'm doing this, for me the game is only good on the highest difficulty. I confess that it was much more difficult in P3P and P4G as the XP multipliers decreased a lot
I got smoked at lvl 10, so i reloaded from the night before and grinded until Yukari learned media. And even then i still almost lost. This is the sort of difficulty Persona 5 royal was missing.
Makoto looks so unbothered its so funny. Most of the scenes with him I've seen so far are him being completely just flat faced even when everyone else around him is full of emotions.
Just finished this boss with literally a second left i was so terrified cause I have saved in for a bit and I don’t know if you lose do you eat to retry or will it just boot you back
I’ve made it to August and I haven’t lost to a boss yet but god I have come close to two. This first one was this. The other one was the one I just fought chariot/justice This boss has nothing on that one.
If I ever get into Reload, I'm gonna go for merciless on the first playthrough. Because P3FES was pretty hard compared to P5R and I somehow get the feeling that Reload's gonna be too generous.
@@ahmedkhan1272 i'm at the hotel boss and now the heart spams charm attacks a lot. Even with the buff to patra it's just impossible to fight that thing with 1 character while the heart is being healed with diarama or media lmao, i'm stuck and i'm thinking of going back to get anti charm items
yeah i may be underleveled and im playing on merciless too. i can only get her half health before running out of time because im so busy healing and reviving. any tips or should i just go a few saves back and grind in tartarus? update: nevermind i beat it with 10 seconds to spare haha
Im on Merciless first playthrough right now since RPGs are no fun unless playing on highest difficulty. Those that are struggling. It helps to get all the ice resistance equips before getting to this and a Jack Frost for Null Ice for Makoto. A little tip also is to leave 1 minion alive when she summons since as long as one minion is alive she wont summon any more. Yukari can Pulpina it to keep it out of the fight and Media after each Ice Storm. Other than that I just melee'd her to death with like 3 minutes to spare. If you were fortunate enough to get Rukunda before this it will make it even easier but not needed.
@@egojanik3497 ....Uhhhh.... it stands for 'Bazooka Joe'. The Priestess loves blowing bubble gum. ....At least that's what we're gonna say she's blowing.

Yea, honestly, I did it pretty fast on my play through, and it felt like the timer was absolutely useless lol

Okumura wasn’t that hard quit exaggerating
0:30 Makoto like a fucking boss
My literal first thought
Wow i get the timer was a bit to generous in the original but didnt expect them to fast it more than once so is best concentrate on the pristess
yea. i was just trying to find her weakness and was wasting time. Should have just healed with Yukari, and went physical with the other two
I'm plwying on merciless and the minions will kill u in 2 seconds, so no, get rid of the minions with weakness+basic attack
Timer prolly reduces depending on difficulty
I counted and it's roughly 8 minutes on merciless. So basically the same except it doesn't count from the middle of the train.
