    I was literally googling "Arvold Casting address" to send a thank you note and this video popped up! Magic, I love it. Great tips, thank you!

    great advice! I did just this, i asked around for advice and was thinking of getting Pat Moran something for giving me my first SAG principal role... i ended up deciding to just get her a card and included a patch from a uniform that i wear at my "other" job...I also sent one to her assistant as well...

    Thank you for continuing to take the time to create these videos! They're really helpful in navigating this industry of the arts, where many of the rules tend to be unwritten.

    I think you have seen enough people to know what a real thank you is. Its hard to find, and in your business im sure, genuine people. Most people do have an agenda. I was raised to say please and thank you, something that is lacking in todays world. I have enjoyed your videos, having just found your channel, so please accept my heartfelt thank you for doing these videos. I am learning alot.

    Thank you for sharing. It seems as if everyone has varying preferences, that when shared feel more like warnings than expressed preferences.
    Your taking the time to be candid about your own preferences, as well a sharing positive memories, is an enjoyable relief compared to the sense of "tip-toeing" projected elsewhere.
    Merely wanted to express my gratitude.

    Question, how do you thank the actors? How do you show your gratitude towards them? When it comes to having people actually acknowledging that you exist and you’re surprised about that, imagine who’s sending thank yous to the actors. My guess is not very many. Gratitude must be a two way road. Just a thought. Don’t know if that’s being done or not.

    Thank you for sharing this information! I just had an audition and was looking for the best way to thank the Casting Director who brought me in so that they would feel my gratitude. It's great to hear it from two Casting Directors themselves! I do have a question: If I cannot find the last name of a person (i.e. the assistant) I want to send a note to anywhere online, is it still considered professional if I send a note with just their first name? Any advice would be appreciated! So happy to find your videos, I look forward to watching many more. - Jamie

    I appreciate your videos and insights.
    I always send TY's! Why wouldn't you want to pass along your gratitude to those who call you in?
    I'm wondering if sending a photo postcard would help jog the receiver's memory?
    😃

    Would a short 'thank you' to casting in the submission notes before sending a tape on eco cast be weird?

    • @arvold
      @arvold  3 года назад

      Thanks for asking! Thank yous are appropriate after auditions in person or a callback, but for self tapes, they're not necessary. If you have not met a CD face to face, but have been hired, thank yous are welcome and appreciated, though certainly not required! But after a self tape is sent in, sending a thank you is truly unnecessary! --ea
